ByNext Tuesday, Joba Chamberlain and Jon Lester are gathering for a talk and a Q-and-A at Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, Connecticut. Tickets are still available (info here), but we have a better offer than tickets. Long-time reader Jay CT has convinced MC Andrew Marchand to accept some questions from River Ave. Blues. So in this thread, post the question you would pose to Joba and Lester. We’ll gather them up, pick from the best and send them along to Marchand. Make them good, and make RAB proud.

Now I know he won’t actually answer these questions, he will say something to the effect of, “I will do whatever my team wants me to do.”
Just ask him if he got to decide which would HE pick. It’s hard to cop out. You know he’ll say starter.
Do you have any goals for this season and if so, what are are they?
Do you and Phil, or any other pitcher, have any kind of competition, any friendly wagers on who will have a better season?
What have you heard about Andy and if he doesn’t return do you think Cash will make a move, open a competition or does Phil already have a slot locked up?

What’s it like growing up in the best baseball rivalry as friends? In the old days the two teams’ players hated each other but now we see laughs shared between Arod/Ortiz, Jeter/Pedroia, Joba/Lester.

You see when I see you pitching in a secondary reference frame, while moving at .98c, the speed of your fastball seems different from that of a person standing still right next to you, in the Joba Chamberlain reference frame. Could you please explain Einstein’s special relativity and how you apply it to your everday life.

What career would you have pursued had professional baseball not been an option?
Joba, Have you trained differently this offseason compared to past years in college and you first pro year? And do you think you are prepared (barring Joba Rules) to pitch 200+ innings as any solid starter must do?

Joba – Last year you had to pitch most of your games to Molina. When you came up you were mostly lined up with Jorge. What would you say is the biggest difference in how they call a game? Does pitching to one or the other change your approach?
