Cross the Astros off of Andy Pettitte’s list of possible destinations. The lefty, currently engaged in a contract cold war with the Yankees, won’t be going to Houston, MLB.com’s Alyson Footer reported yesterday. Astros GM Ed Wade said that the team “[doesn’t] see a scenario where he would fit into our payroll scenario at this time.” Rob Neyer, meanwhile, thinks that Pettitte might be worth more than $10 million but should probably just suck it up and sign with the Yanks. We’ll see.
