… and Bubba Crosby’s gonna be our starting centerfielder.

      I enjoyed this comment.

      • jsbrendog

        haha, well done

  • Joey

    • Andy In Sunny Daytona

Come on Joey, don’t lie. You know the clouds are creeping in.. Another cold front tonight everyone. Only a high of 72 tomorrow. HAHAHA

      • Jack in Snowy Ames

        I hate you.

      • Joey

Sorry, it has been getting a little cloudy, it’s gonna be FREEZING tonight, like low 60s! Brrrrr

  • Joe (not Torre)

Mussina is getting killed by Kay, for his Mariona Rivera comments. hmmmm I don’t blame Kay..How Dare He ?

    • Mike R.

      Pardon my ignorance. What comments?

    • Yankee1010

I haven’t seen the comments, but if Mussina threw Mo under the bus, I wouldn’t be too happy. However, Kay is also known to hate Mussina. A friend of mine was at an event with Kay one time and he openly said that he would not throw water on Mussina if he was on fire. I’m not saying that Mussina didn’t say anything about Mo – I just tend to take anything Kay says about Mussina with a grain of salt.

      • frits

It seems to me that Kay is awfully opinionated for a reporter. I know he’s supposed to give his opinion on the radio, but he’s also a reporter for the Yanks TV network. You’d think he would tone down the shit he so frequently throws at certain players/coaches. Like, dude, you’re just the announcer. STFU.

        • Mike R.

Kay is a tool. I can’t stand his show. The only reason to listen is because his sources tend to break a decent amount of Yank related news.

          • Joe (not Torre)

Para-pharasing: Mussina said…. Mo hasn’t been the same pitcher since blowing 2001 game against AZ, I don’t think Moose has earned the right to say that.

      • Kilgore Trout

Moose said something along the lines of, “Mo was great, but what has he done since i’ve been here? Blew a save in the 01 series and blew the lead in 04 and we didn’t sweep the sox”

  • http://Nationals Mac

Damn I wish you started earlier. I’m getting out of work early because of the 12 feet of snow. When’s the next scheduled chat/podcast?

    • http://www.riveraveblues.com Joseph P.

      Podcast tomorrow, MikeChat on Friday.

      • Jack

So does that mean yours are JoeChats? I’m not sure how I feel about that.

        • frits

If you’re like the rest of us, you hate them! What drivel will we be treated to today???

          • http://www.riveraveblues.com Joseph P.

Be prepared for unprecedented levels of drivel.

            • jsbrendog

              make sure you “concetrate” hard.

  • pat

Ben gets screwed over again. Mike and joe get to do podcasts, live chats and hobknob in vegas while Ben gets to write about land propsals and municipal bond malfeasance.

    • Manimal

Mike and Joe aren’t in law school.

      • pat

True. If only ben knew nobody ever got nowhere by goin to some stoopid school for laws.

  • John in Houston

Are the Yankees showing any interest in Juan Cruz? If nothing else we could trade him for some high ceiling talent in A ball.

    • Manimal

Wait for the chat in 10 minutes, I’m sure joe will LOVE to answer that.

    • UWS

Players signed as free agents can’t be traded until July, I believe. There may be a way for him to waive it, though…I’m not sure.

    • steve (different one)

not to mention that doing this would probably bring down the wrath of the other 29 teams.

it would be viewed as trying to skirt the CBA and would be frowned upon.

nice in theory, not really viable in real life.
