He's 39 and there's no reason to punish Ransom because he did some nice things with the stick off the bench last season. Managers, Girardi no exception, are petrified at the idea of running out of pitchers, or using relievers for more than one inning. They ABSOLUTELY should be using Ramirez/Robertson/Albaladejo/Coke for 30+ pitches everytime it's not the ninth inning (and sometimes when it is). It was not that long ago that one reliever would pitch the 7th and the 8th. It's very odd that it is suddenly no longer an option. I so want them to do that, but it will never happen.
