Some guy pretends to be Andy Phillips, nails a porn star

By

Heh, so that’s a headline I never thought I’d have to type. Apparently some guy posing as former Yank and all-around good guy Andy Phillips managed to lure the adult film actress known as Delia to a motel in NYC just before New Years, where they presumably performed unspeakable acts. But wait, it gets better. The Andy Phillips imposter also posed as Carl Pavano, Greg Dobbs, and agent Jordan Kapler, and it wasn’t until after their motel romp that Mrs. Delia thought something weird was going on. She filed a police report against the real Andy Phillips, and now MLB’s Department of Investigations is trying to sort this whole thing out after Phillips’ agent brought it to their attention. I’m giving Andy the benefit of doubt because all we’ve ever heard about the guy is that he’s a class act and a tremendous human being, but this is just weird. And hilarious.

If I pretend to be one of the RAB writers, do you think that I could nail a porn star?

  2. Tom Zig says:

At least he didn’t try to be Kei Igawa.

  3. John says:

I wonder who pornstars prefer: A-rod or Jeter

  4. Jamie says:

What no link to Mrs. Delia? Lamo

  5. jason says:

Why would you pretend to be Carl Pavano while in NYC? your more likely to be beat and robbed then to pick up a girl.

        I am a new reader a a Yankee fan.
I read somewhere that Gardner’s minor league numbers are comparable to Jacoby Ellsbury. Now Ellsbury is a star of the Red Sox and Gardner is almost a spare part.So where did the difference begin?
And what do you project for Hughes this year?

        • Bret says:

Both are fast runners but, Garner truly has a long way to go as a MLB hitter. There really is no comparison at this point. One is a starter and one is a platoon player who IMO should be getting his at bats in the minors.

In some ways, they seem like a perfect couple.

Him-”Hi!, I’m a guy pretending to be a backup infielder for the Yankees”

Her-”Nice to meet you! I’m a porn star, you might recognize me from The Blowjob Adventures Of Dr. Fellatio #12″

    • steve (different one) says:

-”Hi!, I’m a guy pretending to be a backup infielder for the Yankees”

  10. Duke says:

I wouldn’t be surprised if it was actually Carl Pavano. He sole purpose in life is to make people think he is a different person….err pitcher.

  11. MattB says:

What the story failed to mention is that the guy had another porn star lined up when he was impersonating Pavano.

Staying true to character however, he suffered an injury during foreplay and couldn’t continue. But, he insisted that she pick up the tab for the room.

Seriously, if you’re picking out athletes to impersonate, why in the world would you pick Pavano?

  12. Will says:

I think it might have been Robert Downey Jr channeling his character from Tropic Thunder
