A-Fraud jersey no longer for sale

Over at MLB.com’s shop, fans have the chance to buy customized replica jerseys. As the Yankee jerseys include a name on the back — contrary to tradition, of course — there is no shortage of popular snark.

MLB, though, has taken steps to combat what they view as derogatory customized jerseys, and according to CNBC’s Darren Rovell, fans can no longer purchase A-Fraud jerseys. I tried to customize and A-Roid jersey too with no luck. However, if you want A-Steroid, act now. I’m sure MLB will ban that one once they catch wind of it too. I doubt, however, that this one will ever go out of style.

A-rods in Vail eating chicken wings at the Red Lion (worst bar in town) and refusing to pose for any pictures. I hope he stays gone.

  7. MJ says:

Why would you say you want a jersey with anything related to A-Fraud or A-Roid?

    I don’t get it.

Why would a person with such high fanhood rankings be interested in such a shameful jersey regarding one of the best baseball players of all-time?

Or is this a joke that I don’t get?

Or is this a joke that I don’t get?

      That.

Who among us said they actually wanted one of these?

    • Because some fans are frustrated with a player that was supposed to break the all time home run record cleanly and then didn’t?

And they would like a forum to vent their disappointment?

Being a fan, like being a patriot, doesn’t imply blind allegiance; it implies a measure of critical thinking because you want your team to be the best that it can possibly be.

While Ben’s avenue of expressing his criticism may be on a more Joe the Plumber level than a Barack Obama one, it doesn’t make his point any less valid.

Any so-called Yankee fan who feels like ripping on A-Rod can pack his bags for Boston right now. The Yankees are a team take them all or leave them all. You should try forming real opinions of your own instead of having them surgically implanted in your head by the New York tabloids.

You’re new here, right? RAB has been one of the staunchest defenders of A-Rod around. Try checking out the archives and actually reading something beyond a post tagged WHIMSY before you start leveling ridiculous attacks against people.
