wow, A-rod missed that pitch. it was it.
He could have hit it, but didn’t want to cause he doesn’t care about the game.
He probably tipped the Catcher to what pitch he was looking for.
Fucking guy tips more than Wall St broker after 6 martinis.
I have no confidence in this Spillover Thread.
This Thread needs to be DFA’d
Anybody getting the sense that a majority of the lineup is thinking homerun in every situation? I realize that’s the ideal result, but the swings seem to be suffering. This is one of the downsides, in my opinion, of the stadium being a potential bandbox.
posted that same thing on the last thread
apologies. just got on here.
no worries bro
I’m going to laugh when we sweep this 10 game homestand by an aggregate 10 run margin.
11 runs minimum right? A-rod’s walk-off put us up by 2
That’s right. My bad.
Someone is going to get killed by a broken bat someday.
Seriously.
smooth for a big guy lol
Gold Glove.
Damn man, wanted the Nets to get a higher pick!
Same, and I feel really bad for blake griffin
I read somewhere (don’t remember where) that the Clips and Warriors should admit they both made a mistake and trade Baron Davis for Corey Maggette.
They both excel in their old team’s systems and suck in their current team’s ones.
Griffin is a beast, and the Clips are lucky. Now, they just need to whack Mike Dunleavy and they’ll be relevant again in no time.
We all want lots of things, Pop.
Are you transferring to SHU this sem.?
Nope, after next year. Hopefully.
Two year degree at my school first.
Ah, word. I just put in my application for grad school at Sacred Heart.
Awesome. A smart guy like you, you got it.
Aww, Pop. You’re makin’ me blush.
GET A ROOM, YOU TWO!
Matt ACTY/BBD = Alex Rodriguez
Mike Pop = Kate Hudson
he gets this guy, he should be ok for the 8th
haha, Cervelli thought it was the 3rd out.
Heh, looked like Cervelli forgot what out that was.
I dunno about that, he does that alot on strikeouts.
I’m not to sure, it just looked a little exaggerated because he jumped out took a couple steps over and threw it, but you never know.
Uh guys, have you seen what Dontrelle Willis is doing for Detroit?
6.1 IP and just one hit. Against Texas.
blind squirrel, broken clock.
Yep he’s back. /scarasm.
Nice, I’m rooting hard for Dontrelle to make a comeback.
This long at bat is hurting his chance to pitch the 8th.
105 pitches…I’m not sure, I think I’d send him out. AJ went 124 the other day
of course, Bruney should be ready
Here’s my don’t bother waiting, off the top of my head NBA mock draft:
1-Clips: Blake Griffin (duh)
2-Grizz: Ricky Rubio (too much downside in Thabeet)
3-Thunder: Steven Hunter–er, I mean, Hasheem Thabeet
4-Kings: Jordan Hill (bigger need than Harden)
5-Wizards: James Harden (to pair with/replace Agent Zero)
6-Wolves: Brandon Jennings
7-Warriors: Jrue Holliday
8-Knicks: Stephen Curry (he’s legit)
9-Raptors: Tyreke Evans
10-Bucks: DeMar DeRozan
11-Nets: Earl Clark
12-Bobcats: Gerald Henderson
13-Pacers: DeJuan Blair
14-Suns: James Johnson
Earl Clark does not sound like a basketball name.
Oh man I would LOVE to see a guy with Curry’s spot up shooting ability in D’Antoni’s offense.
I see him getting shut down by NBAers. Plus, from what I’ve seen his defense is not very good.
I think he’ll be serviceable, but nothing special.
I think he can score with anybody, even NBAers. He will get shredded on defense, but in D’Antoni’s system, that is ok.
Eh, hopefully for you Knicks fans. I want to see the Knicks succeed but they’re taking a big gamble(Lebron, Wade, etc).
Hopefully it works out for them/you. Call me skeptical about Curry though. Fun to watch, hope it works out.
Wait till Jay-Z talks Bron into coming to Jersey
Umm… everybody is taking that gamble. Everyone.
We have NYC to offer, though. All they have is Detroit, or Chicago, or something else dumb and unappealing.
Naw, not everyone. Everyone is not banking on getting a superstar(or two) like you Knicks are. This is the only way out of the gutter for you.
Chicago is appealing.
Chicago is NOT appealing. You think he wants to live in MJ’s shadow?
Oh ya.
Going to a team that has good young talent isn’t appealing.
Also, if he does what MJ did, even better. He could go down as the best of all time, just like he could if he did it anywhere.
Ultimately, I don’t know what he is going to do. Would be cool to watch him play every night or so with the Knicks, would be freakin’ awesome.
Amen. I agree the Bulls have tons of young talent, I just think that he’d want to go somewhere to create his own legacy, not to try to one up Jordan’s.
Also, I don’t see what we have to lose. Like we could’ve even made it to the playoffs if we DIDN’T clear cap room? Since when is it ever a bad thing to have tons of cap room?
It’s not a bad thing at all.
I’m just saying, it is your only way out of the gutter.
I’m just saying, it is your only way out of the gutter.
I concede your point. If things were different, they wouldn’t be the same.
True. Although even if we don’t get Lebron, we’re in position to make a run at Doc Howard the year after, or trade for CP3 since the Hornets are desparate to shed payroll.
Ya, I guess you’re right.
I don’t understand the NBA Salary Cap all that well as you guys do.
Do I think it’s dumb to just wait for that FA class? Naw, but it’s an obvious risk but no doubt it is one worth making when you are talking about a player of Lebron’s un-earthly level.
Shit, even if we don’t get LeBron, we still have our pick from:
Wade
Joe Johnson
Bosh
Amare
Nowitzki
Yao Ming
Michael Redd
Nowitzki will never leave Dallas
You hear he got some chic pregnant and now won’t talk to her? Damn. He is my favorite player though, as I cheer for the Mavs.
His D is wack though, but ya it is a really good FA class.
I thought you hated Amare and Dirk though.
Exactly, Pop. Lebron is a once in a lifetime talent. It’s rare that you’ll find someone who is actually WORTH tanking two full seasons, just for the possibility of signing. But he’s it.
I do hate Amare and Dirk.
I’m just pointing out that the other reason our plan to dump two seasons and wait for LeBron is that we’ve got several backup plans available if Evil Plan A happens to not come to fruition.
Lol. I always loved that idea. He would leave Cleveland or not come to NY because a friend talked him into it.
I see Curry as a Mo Williams clone.
He’s not going to blow by anyone, but he can knock it down from everywhere and doesn’t really have a hole in his game.
Good comp there.
THAT IS HOW YOU DEBATE!!!!!!!!!!!
Scouts are raving about his transition to PG last year too. His passing skills are apparently outstanding. I’m a big Curry guy, I hope he falls to us.
I think you are underrating Thabeet. I see no reason he cant be a Tyson Chandler type. Also, no Lawson in your top 14?
Yeah, he could probably be that…but his offense isn’t going to be good at the NBA level. Plus, he’s just not strong enough to be a huge factor on defense.
No, no Lawson in my top 14.
He’s a good college player, but there’s at least 4-6 PG’s I like better than him in the NBA. I’d put Eric Maynor in front of him too.
He’s both smaller and slower than you think.
Not a big fan of Lawson?
I’d have a hard time blaming Griffin if he came out and refused to play for the Clippers
Lawson will go somewhere between 14-20, but I can’t see him any higher than the Pacers. Too many better options in front of him.
DeMar DeRozan might be a good 8 inches taller than him, for example.
Don’t the Knicks have enough ‘Curry’s on their roster?
http://www.sadtrombone.com
Don’t worry. The other one is just sticking around to be cap filler to round out a sign-and-trade deal for Chris Bosh next winter.
CC is an absolute beast.
TSJC – Steph Curry at 8?
Damn, waited a minute too long.
Who pitches the 8th? They have Zaun(S), Andino(R), and Roberts(S).
A)CC 105 pitches but dealing
B)Coke our set-up man while Bruney wasn’t here
C)Bruney who obviously just got off the DL
Coke isn’t available, he threw 38 pitches last night.
My bad totally slipped my mind.
Fuck it send out the gangster for the 8th and 9th.
Bottom of the order, send CC back out there. That’s what he gets paid for.
I think that would be the ideal choice.
But that might also be the ideal choice for Bruney to come back against.
BUT TEH PLAYOFFS!11!!!
Batter to batter, then bring in Bruney if needed.
Wow, BJ Ryan is toast.
What’s his velocity on Gameday?
So is Ortiz.
Swisher’s headed towards the Interstate
When did Baltimore get Roy Halladay? Third time through the lineup and this kid is still mowing them down.
Hey look! Swisher walked!
OMG! Cano walked!
Since I gave out some cooking advice in the last thread, I’ll give another helpful hint around the kitchen.
You know these things? The Pasta Server thingys?
http://www.oneida.com/resource.....zoom.1.jpg
AMAZING back scratcher.
Just make sure you cook the pasta first and scratch the back second, not the other way around.
Who’s cooking Pasta? I keep the thing in my computer desk.
Quite.
I made a salad today. I bought a package of already-cooked shrimp and a box of lettuce mix.
I tossed the shrimp in with the lettuce.
A little salt and pepper and lemon later, instant salad!
A regular Rachel Ray here.
Ugh, I really loved her on the $40 a day travel show from about 5 years ago. Funny, cute, loved to laugh and have a good meal. But since then she’s morphed into some caricature of a suburban housewife from Hell and now she’s just hideous. Shame.
I hate that woman with the fires of a thousand suns.
Cooked up some Burritos today!
Did they take long?
You fill them with what you want, for me it is shrimp, cheese, black beans, pico, jalapenos, and olives.
(1 or 2 minutes)
Then cook for 8 or 9 minutes.
Yanks baby!!!
Then cook for 8 or 9 minutes.
Really, that’s it?
Did you cook them in a microwave? I would have imagined it would have taken longer to cook them…
Oven. I make my own in the restaraunt I work at.
Just a high-powered oven, I guess it is?
DAMNIT, POP, STOP FUCKING WITH ME AND GET IN ON THIS INSIDE JOKE!!!!!
Sweet Lincoln’s Mullet! I cannot believe I didn’t see it at first.
Epic Fail – Me.
WHY THE FUCK IS THIS INSIDE JOKE TAKING SO LONG TO REGISTER IN MIKE POP’S HEAD??!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!??!?!
HAHAHA fuckin pop is talking about the oven he uses at work, funny stuff.
David Ortiz just struckout swinging against B.J. Ryan and his 86-88 MPH fastball – FAIL.
Ortiz: 0-3 with 2K’s.
What is the REAL dael with Verizon Fios? Is it good or just another name for cable.
deal. I’m dyslexic too.
what was that white ring thing cano had on his left hand in his last at bat?
Promise ring. He will at least try to walk at least once each game.
Hahahahahahailikeit!
I have no idea, but I’ve seen a lot of other players wear it. Swisher does too.
It’s to cushion your hand when you get jammed. I used to bruise the area between my thumb and pointer finger a lot and it’s not fun, and it hurts every time you make contact after that, so they’re pretty helpful
Damn Markakis and his CANNON.
I heart chris ray.
Damnit Melky hit it too hard.
damn you good throwing arm
WTF was that random footage of a jail cell?
My9 epic FAIL.
I thought we were in store for a Super Bowl-esque porn cameo.
Heh.
Thank you, Andino.
mmm delicious boot
oaktag?
Nice, we needed that run.
AND THE BALL GETS BY BUCKNER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What a clutch play. I didn’t know we were playing the Mets!
MAKING THINGS HAPPEN!!!!
John Sterling just called that a double play.
[ facepalm ]
Really? Describe it because I heard something different.
I assume he was joking.
Ah. Oaktag for me, then.
j/k
Now we can experience what its like for opposing fans when Veras, Edwar and co come in
AY FRANKIE!
Oh Captain My Captain !!!
Insurance
JETERIAN CLUTCH
woo! lol
Uge. The O’s are playing like the Mets.
El Capitan.
Chris Ray is my favorite
Seriously, how many times have we killed this guy?
I still remeber in 06 he whiffed Matsui looking aon a fullcount , bases loaded , 1 run game with a haning curveball up in the zone.
Derek Jeter >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> birds
there goes your nice low era rookiebitch.
ugh actually a few of those were unearned.
Heh, “rookiebitch”, I love it.
Nice breathing room for a change.
Derek Jeter clap clap clapclapclap
Derek Jeter clap clap clapclapclap
Derek Jeter clap clap clapclapclap
Derek Jeter clap clap clapclapclap
WHERE THE HELL WAS MY FISTPUMP ON THAT HIT, JETER?!??!?!??!?!?!?
Oh captain my captain
Uber clutchness.
Now just tack on 5 more runs and we can trust the bullpen to finish it up.
Looks like they just might do it!!!
Now Bruney can get in.
Yep. Save CC’s bullets for later.
Plus he’s probably gone cold sitting on the bench by now. Get a freshly warmed up arm in there.
I know this is baseball 101 but when the bottom of our lineup does stuff THINGS HAPPEN
Let’s go Yankees…!!! CLAP CLAP CLAP
I love this. Perfect situation to bring Bruney in, stress free.
I love when Chris Ray pitches against the Yanks.
Gotta let CC at least start the 8th now and bring Bruney in to get some mop up work in.
Holy Shit!
Didn’t mean to reply to that
Damn, this team is destroying everyone in their sight
I love it when a lineup comes together!!!
BANGWAGON.
That’s disgusting.
Wow. This one got out of hand in a hurry.
Yeah.
Brick killed a guy!
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW that was deep.
Busting it open baby!!
Oh man. I love this.
GOODNESS GRACIOUS!
DAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYUUUUUMMM!
i called that
except i called a tgree-run shot with DJ and damon on
damn! back to back would have been awesome
Are we having fun yet???????
I like the fact how our offense suddenly explodes. YES!!!
Awesome.
I thought only A-Rod hit tack-on homers.
Chris Ray – the new Arthur Rhodes
Holy shit we’re raping them!!
Somewhere, Kobe’s ears just perked up.
Hahahahahahah.
I didn’t want to laugh, but I did.
IETC, tho im not sure if he really raped her
wow that was a blastttttttttt.
Buster Olney is tipping pitches to defend his honor.
Now that’s what I call INSURANCE
‘Melo just scored 16 points in one quarter
Lakers imo have no real chance…Melo v. Lebron
Really?
Nuggets are rollin’ but I think Lakers could give em hell.
7 runs in one inning>>>>>> 16 points in a quarter
James Shields is good at baseball.
Oh yea! Finally a blow out win! After making us sweat for six innings with a fuckin no name holding us down, we explode on the Orioles sad pen!
But the Yankees are so old and… slow and… stuff.
This doesn’t make sense.
damn, thought A-Rod had that one.
I’m greedy, I wanted that one bad.
I was hoping that one was going to crack some glass.
wow arod almostttttttttttttttttt hit that one out i thought it had the sound.
ortiz* just hit a home run!!
*houston pitcher russ ortiz, that is.
Zing!
Baaaaaaaaaahahaha.
HAHAHAHA
That was fucking awesome.
IETC
AROD, YOU SUCK!
Almost Alex. Almost.
Another benefit of this runsplosion: Rivera gets some more rest.
yeah baby!
Boy, A-Rod looks like he’s just missing something. I can’t put my finger on it …
Frosted Tips?
He’s only had 36 at bats..
nevermind my comment there
You know, it really is refreshing to get Yankee updates without being bombarded by jokes on Angel Berroa’s age and just overall douchebaggery.
borden is the man.
And to have a comment thread full of sane, well-informed posters, none of whom scream at each other after every bad play and predict the apocolypse every night. That I enjoy too.
Oh my goodness, that ball is inside the mohegan sun sportsbar in a week or two.
Bruney better stop warming. Wouldn’t want him to get injured.
Hahahahhah!
Nah, that only happens during instant replays.
ARod: “… But I fucking crushed it.”
Heh.
But…I’m a fucking demon.
i love Dogma. that movie was the shit!
And, the gamethread comes full circle.
Did I miss something earlier?
http://riveraveblues.com/2009/.....ent-390823
I like how Singleton likes to remind Kay he never played the freaking game.
Here’s that blowout we all have wanted
We actually have a lead that is Jose Veras proof.
There’s no such thing
Heck you could ALMOST pitch Veras and Edwar Ramirez back to back
I’d go so far as to call this lead Farnsworth proof.
OK, now you lost me.
Bruney is really, really skinny now
what I miss?
http://video.google.com/videop.....1392761486
Sweet…was out on a bike ride with the misses, but it was 2-1 when I left. pleasantly surprise to walk in and see a rally brewing before my eyes.
Giambi not really helping the Yanks cause right there in the Top 9th
I wish swisher and matsui would join the party
Swisher walked to start that inning.
A-Rod is on pace to bat .200 and hit 61 HRs
ARod = Roger Maris
* ?
I knew that instant replay stuff would ruin baseball
So..Frankie Cervelli: for real or flash in the pan?
We once thought Edwar was the next Mo.
No, only Max Kellerman thought that.
“Right now, Dan Geise is BETTER than most pitchers in the American League!”
He loved small samples, and would jump off a bandwagon as fast as he jumped on one.
Ok but say he continues to hit 300+ until we get Posada and Molina back. Back to AA?
AAA. He’s hitting .300 but there’s no power.
AAA, right?
I hope not. I’m hoping that Bengie Molina has a career ending quad injury right about now.
For real but not yet. Needs a little more time in the minors.
Cervelli’s D is for real – that much is certain
I agree, Becca – he probably needs a little more time for the bat to catch up. Still – you wonder if he’s ready to step in as Po’s backup in 2010.
Bruney looked like he didn’t miss a beat
If he continues to be competent with the bat, Cervelli will be the backup in ’10.
I hate to break this to you Becca, but those eyes aren’t real either.
Contacts.
Bruney looks way too much like a white supremacist right now.
It looks like the whole bullpen shaved their headds.
Is there a white guy with a shaved head that doesn’t? Hmm, maybe Steve Lombardi, that guy looks like a serial killer.
He’s from Alabama.
No offense to anyone from Alabama. Exept my ex.
Heh. Has anyone ever seen the Bruno episode where he goes to Alabama?
I’m going to the place in the USA where everyone comes to be gay! ALABAMA!
is it me or Bruney looks slimmer?
It’s the hair.
Which makes David Wells all the more mind-boggling.
See comments above
I was gonna compare him to Edwar…he does look skinnier
we have been looking at CC for 7 innings prior too
Bruney just looks better on the mound than most of the BP
Phil Coke: Dude you’re good at that.
That shot of Mo made him look like Don Corleone.
Oh Bruney, we have missed thee.
Seeing you gives us such glee.
You’ve recovered from injury and heard our plea.
Well done by Brian. Looks the same as before- throwing hard and throwing strikes.
Russ is so annoying.
Ugh.
Did someone from our middle relief have a 123 inning?
No, Bruney is our setup guy
Goddammit, Swish.
I can’t wait for A-Rod to blast one to center and take that stupid sports bar out himself.
hahaha, arod hits it and it just straight implodes.
Great play!
Eric Davis II strikes again.
Ken Singleton is right about that; Hofstra’s gym is no where near the library.
What would feel worse: A long drive to wall of the deepest part of the field that would have been a HR anywhere else or a potential HR to the shortest part that the fielder robbed?
being robbed by the fielder.
I really hope this Melky is here to stay. I know he just grounded out, but he saw 6 pitches and looks so much better at the plate. I hope he keeps progress in his current direction. It would be nice to have him and A-Jax in the outfield doing well.
Interesting. We could be looking at AJax, Melk, Swish all under 30 right?
When’s the last time the Yanks had three OF’s under 30 on the roster?
No idea, but I’m really lookin forward to havin those three next year. Youth & athleticism= Good
I just hope Hank/Hal doesn’t overpay for Holliday. They guy does not look like a $20 million/year player.
I think they’ll go hard after Bay. They have 26 mil coming off the books for LF in Damon and Matsui, and it has the double effect of weakening the BoSox. Its like getting double the bang for your buck.
No fricken idea! sounds amazing though
Real quick. Missed most of the game, weather in Colorado was awesome so had to put in 25 on the bike, but how did CC look. His line looks good and from what I can see he was dominant.
He looked very, very good. The changeup was working well.
How do people think Hughes will do tomorrow…I’m going to it.
I’m gonna say 6 7 3 3 2 4
Well seeing as though we’re on a bit of a win streak I’d say he should be pretty relaxed and playing with house money. Hopefully the yanks give him some runs early and he can settle in. This is a pretty good hitting orioles team though so you can’t be too sure.
The birds always seem to rock Hughes. Gotta score some runs tomorrow.
Hughes has a bit of a glass jaw right now. He needs to build up some confidence.
I hope for a ton of run support and Hughes settling down after giving up 2 in the first.
Do you think Cano or Teixeira ever take it personally just like “WTF! Why do Jeter and A-Rod always get taken out in blow out?”
They’re the youngins. Even if they didn’t like it, they could just shut the fuck up.
veterans need more rest and besides Swish, no one can backup Tex
As crazy as this may sound from a Yankee fan, but I was actually rooting for the Red Sox tonight
Yes crazy. I was still rooting for the Jays.
Yea but we really need the blue jays to fall out of the race. The Sox certainly aren’t goin to the basement, and the last thing we need is 4 possible playoff teams in one division
I still couldn’t root for Sox. I rather be the ones to beat up the Jays.
I could see myself rooting for the Red sox if they played al Qeada, but that’s pretty much it.
Ehh I want Toronto. We’re only 1 game behind Boston so I want to overtake em.
[...] Confidence Poll « Game 39 Spillover Thread May [...]
Convincing win. 9-2 with A-Rod now.
Team cancer fail.
A-lex surgically removed that cancer with a blunt knife.
He wiped his hands before touching the knife, as well.
Seven straight is awesome.
Come on, I wanna see some fist pumps in Aubrey’s face
(Insert Fist Pump Here)
Anyone still want Girardi fired?
I like seeing him fired up.
I think he should be fire, seriously. wasting all these wins in the beginning of the year. what a jerk.
No, Michael Kay, we didn’t get rid of Edwar instead of Veras because Edwar has an option. We got rid of Edwar instead of Veras because Edwar has pitched worse than Veras.
Edwar: 5.19 ERA but a 1.904 WHIP and 6 HR in 17 IP
Veras: 6.61 ERA but a 1.531 WHIP and 2 HR in 16 IP
Of the two, Edwar clearly deserved to disappear more. The DFA vs. demotion to the minors is ancillary.
i don’t understand why there haven’t been more stories about how impressive it is that big papi’s slump isn’t effecting his defense. A close look at the numbers will show that his fielding percentage this year is remarkably consistent to those years when he was in his prime.
… david ortiz … not a HOF’er
rally caps: +1
tsjc: I kinda get your point, but in my mind they both exhibited much suckage. I can’t take the obligatory Veras-walks-the-first-batter-he-faces routine.
Cervelli sounds like such an upbeat kid, talking to Waldman after the game. A guy to root for
He’s a kid filling some mighty big shoes. We root for him.
Then again he’s wearing pinstripes, we root for him.
I know a lot of people look at Tomko’s career numbers and say he isn’t worth keeping on the roster….but he seems serviceable to me. Relief pitching is volatile right? Is it outside the realm of possibility that he can be a decent reliever with a mid 3′s era? I trust him far more than veras right now at least.
I think he’s a fine middle innings option. Not a guy you use in high-leverage spots, but a guy you can bring in in the 6th inning to bridge the gap, or trust to finish off the job in a blowout. I’ve always been fan. He has very good stuff, it just never came together for him.
The ‘tag’ on him has always been his makeup wasn’t great, but I haven’t seen any evidence of that yet. But half of these tags are bullshit anyway. Its just as likely he had a blockhead manager who thought every run he gave up reflected on his character somehow.
Yup.
We’ve got him up here, might as well use him and see what he can do.
I can only imagine the tyraid ESPN would be going on if Cervelli and Pena played for the Red Sox. “Well I’ve talked to scouts, and Cervelli reminds people around baseball of a young Joe Mauer” – Gammons
And that kid Pena is like a Mexican Ozzie Smith. Strike this up to Bill James and Theo workign their magic. – Gammons
Um, “tirade”?
Is that what you were going for?
thanks bro, thats the one, my internet connection is F-ed up right now, I’ll blame it on that
“Pena is the next A-rod…the Sox will have the best infield for the next ten years. Pedroia and Pena are young. Youkilis and Lowell are so full of grit that they will be ALL-STARS for the next decade. Reddick , Ellsbury, and Cervelli and Lars Anderson round out the best lineup in history.”
“Pena and Cervelli subscribe to Dustin Pedroia’s motto; it’s all about winning games.” – Gammons
CC Sabathia. Faced with the prospect of a $161 million contract, to go out and make one start after another on three days’ rest was an extreme outward sign of Pedroia’s motto: “It’s all about championships.”
Seriously… STFU Gammons.
Being a Red Sox in the eyes of ESPN means that you play baseball for the sport and not for the money and being a Red Sox automatically makes you grittier.
“The yankees havent brought up any good position players through their system since Yogi Berra.”
-Steve Phillips
there’s no way he actually said that
He couldn’t be that stupid…but then again it is Steve Phillips.
this would be a new low, even for Steve Phillips.
did he really?
Bruney dialed his fastball up to 96. Drool.
Playoff hockey is awesome.
Basketball as well. No reason to watch before the Conference Finals… but after that it’s intense. Denver and LA going at it right now.
I hate My 9
Has anyone else noticed that, other than his on-field production, A-Rod has been like a ghost on this team?
Kind of what he said he would do. Could the A-Rod circus be over? I know he made out with Kate Hudson… but you can’t fault him for that.
