Game 46: First pitch at 10:30 p.m. ET

By Benjamin Kabak

Well, let’s try this again, albeit far too late in the evening. After a fast-moving hail storm, the Yankees and the Rangers are set for a 10:30 p.m. ET first pitch. Joe’s original game thread previewed this one. The lineups remain:

1. Derek Jeter, SS
2. Johnny Damon, LF
3. Mark Teixeira, 1B
4. Alex Rodriguez, 3B
5. Robinson Cano, 2B
6. Melky Cabrera, CF
7. Hideki Matsui, DH
8. Nick Swisher, RF
9. Francisco Cervelli, C

And on the mound, number sixty-two, Joba Chamberlain.

no more Ramon! What the Fuck!

Tank the Frank says:

I hope the Yanks pour it on early b/c I don’t think I can make it ’til the end.

Oh, boy. It’s the 20-minute edition of MY9 News.

CP3 says:

They suck anyway

Greg G. says:

Nothing like a hail storm to keep the paying fans happy.

V says:

Wow, Greinke is awesome.

V says:

And yes, he’s on one of my fantasy teams bay-bee!

pat says:

lanny does not approve.

Ridering says:

Yes he is. I’m happy that the Royals actually scored runs for him tonight.

Cor Shep says:

Any of you guys ever use 5-hour energy? Does it work?

Will says:
Cor Shep says:

Yea, Udel is sooo late

Ever have one?

Accent Shallow says:

Suc things just make me hyper.

BklynJT says:

Just noticed..

Cano’s OPS away from YS3 is 1.000 while its .756 at YS3. Career wise, Cano OPS’s better away from YS by a large margin.

On the other hand, the gritty muchkin in boston has like a .040 higher and OPS .130 points higher at fenway.

Tank the Frank says:

Yeah Cano has always been a better road hitter. He also typically heats up in June/July… his numbers will be scary if he continues that trend.

RichYF says:

On a lighter note, I’ll be in Cleveland on Caturday to see Carten Charles. Caught him at the stadium during his 7IP 1ER outing as well.

Hey look, baseball!

That sports guy on My9 is just a little off.

Accent Shallow says:

<3 hittable Texas staff <3

First pitch hit. I can work with this.

Second pitch, actually.

It was the second pitch.

Oh and my friends and I were discussing how much we hate Eric Devendorf earlier tonight.

Let’s have a repeat of yesterday, huh guys?

Accent Shallow says:

I think the Yankees are too protective of Hughes to let him go on zero days rest, much less take Joba’s start.

ngnyy62 says:

HOLY S*** BRACKMAN…10 WALKS IN 3.1 INNINGS????!!!!

pat says:

thats old news.

Drew says:

That is so 8 o clock.

pat says:

So pre-rainout game thread.

I could really go for an A bomb from A-rod.

That crowd sure is rowdy after a 2.5 hour rain delay.

Just missed it, eh?

Going to be a late night.

V says:

Btw, via ESPN:

“• Several sources say that it appears more likely that top Dominican catching prospect Gary Sanchez will sign with the New York Yankees for a bonus in the $3 million range. Though at least four teams are still showing interest in Sanchez, the Yankees have tagged the catcher as their No. 1 priority in Latin America, according to a source. Sanchez is close to picking a team, as he declined to participate in the upcoming exhibition series featuring the top Latin American prospects playing against teams in the New England Collegiate Baseball League”

Also, the Yankees were going to pay $3.5M bonus to a Cuban prospect (Felix Perez), but it looks like he ran into ‘passport problems’ and may be older than claimed.

pat says:

These “scouting reports” are such bullshit.

My english friend is sitting here watching baseball with me and wearing a Yankees shirt

My work here is done.

gxpanos says:

Hey, anybody see Syracuse’s huge comeback in lacrosse yesterday?

No?

What’s that? Lacrosse is as lame as a 2-3 zone?

Oh, Joba’s pitching. What was I just talking about?

UWS says:

Shutup.

/bitter Cornell alum

Chip says:

90 mph fastball from Joba!!111!!11!! WORLD ENDINGGGG!!!

dkidd says:

V says:

Ewww…. Melky….

Ah shit, Melky hurt his shoulder.

pat says:

oh god melky looks like he dislocated his shoulder.

A.D. says:

Melky should have caught that and instead hurt himself.

Ivan says:

Hope Melky is okay.

Accent Shallow says:

What was worse — Melky on that play, or Gardner’s dive?

Ridering says:

Gardner’s dive. He had sunglasses, Melky didn’t have an umbrella.

Jamal G. says:

Yeah, can the rain start falling harder now?

pat says:

well he’s moving it so it can’t be too bad.

manimal says:

Looks like a broken Collerbone to me… Fuck.

Drew says:

Raf says:

Gardner in the 6th spot for the rest of the game. ugh.

yankeegirl49 says:

Great another damn injury.

pat says:

Raf says:

fucking awesome play

That was so badass.

yankeegirl49 says:

But NICE play by Arod!

Great play. Maueresque.

dkidd says:

awesome!!!!! never ever seen that

Drew says:

Accent Shallow says:

Man, looks like A-Rod was right to disdain those kids, huh?

manimal says:

OH BABY! Great D there. Mauer-esque

Axl says:

Doesn’t look too good…

Had to know his hot bat would have to come to an end prematurely at some point…

UWS says:

Let’s not get ahead of ourselves, shall we?

Raf says:

that wouldnt be the Axl way

UWS says:

UWS says:

Awesome play by Alex.

Greg G. says:

Holy crow, that was a gutty play by A-Rod.

gxpanos says:

HAHAHAHAHAHA! KINSLER!

He shoulda been out anyway.

Plus: A-Rod!

Axl says:

Well sitting Kinsler today won’t hurt me too too much so far I guess…

Iowa Yank says:

heads up play arod

Pasqua says:

The only thing I think back to is Jeter’s dislocated shoulder in ‘02 (?). Melky was not nearly in as much pain, if the reaction is anything to go by. Hopefully, that’s a good sign, if there is such a thing.

Drew says:

Melky laughs in the face of pain.

Robinson’s fielding just looks effortless.

RichYF says:

Not thrilled about Joba’s velocity…

manimal says:

Take away velocity with a grain of salt, YES is always off on the road.

RichYF says:

Gameday says the same thing…

manimal says:

Really? Dang. Ok now there is cause for concern.

Accent Shallow says:

Gameday has him at 89-91, FWIW.

dkidd says:

i feel like cano gets the lead runner more often than most 2nd basemen

manimal says:

e mills says:

Hope Melky’s not seriously hurt…I don’t really like the idea of Gardner doing anything aside from pinch running

His fielding’s been great this year, though.

UWS says:

Joba’s first inning yips are back, eh? Thank Mo for Alex’s great play.

Get out of it, Joba.

leche: it does the yankees good says:

how long can one miss with a dislocated shoulder?

Axl says:

Is this where a former Red Sox player sticks another thorn in our side?

Mike Pop says:

You’re silly. You think every sox player is a rebirth of ted Williams.

Accent Shallow says:

Think they could just smack Joba across the face a few times in the dugout, so he’d come out focused and intense?

Greg G. says:

Or they could try the patented Roger Clemens liniment treatment.

V says:

I think he needs to rub some stuff on his balls, Clemens style.

dkidd says:

that works for me when i coach little league

dkidd says:

i meant the slapping, not the liniment.

oh, never mind.

Reggie C. says:

If Melky’s shoulder requires a DL trip to heal … does Austin Jackson get called up?

Axl says:

Probably not. Posada will come back and they’ll just keep Cervelli…and Nady is coming back fairly soon too

manimal says:

No, Linden(If anybody) gets called up.

Mr.Jigginz says:

Ok,who had 10:47pm as the first time Austin Jackson would be mentioned AFTER Melky’s injury?

Raf says:

zs190 says:

I don’t think so, probably Linden or JRod.

VO says:

I’m not so sure, that’s a tough one because you’d need another outfielder although Miranda would seem more logical for the bat, but who else do we have in the minors that can play the outfield, who is already on the 40-man?

Greg F. says:

I hope not. He’s really not ready, I’d stick with gardner. I’m surprised the Mets called F-Mart up.

Drew says:

manimal says:

The knee Joba hurt was his push off knee, right? That could be the cause of the low velocity.

Accent Shallow says:

It’s a possibility, but he’s been off velocity-wise in the first all year. We’ll have to see some more innings before we know anything.

Drew says:

He always comes out of the gate throwing 90-91

pc69 says:

Joba, back to his first inning antics

Axl says:

Joba LOVES walking batters…22 walks in like 40 innings. Pretty awful. He needs to start getting his control back.

V says:

Name a 23 year old stud prospect who HASN’T walked a ton of batters.

I checked out his first 20 starts vs. CC, Beckett, Halladay, Santana earlier, and he was at or better than the others.

Some call me...tim says:

What’d Arod do?

leche: it does the yankees good says:

kinsler lead off with a triple next batter hit a grounder to arod. arod looked over at kinsler who strayed to far and arod dived and tagged him out

Some call me...tim says:

Like 15 min late, but HIP FEELS GOOD ENOUGH TO SCREW YOU IAN BOY!!!

leche: it does the yankees good says:

anyone got a pitch count on joba so far this inning?

Accent Shallow says:

22 pitches so far.

leche: it does the yankees good says:

Axl says:

Well whatever it is…fixing his control would have helped it…but when I mentioned that before people ignored it and said I was crazy.

Raf says:

it aint like fixing a flat tire Axl. shit doesnt happen overnight.

Axl says:

Well no kidding…but that still doesn’t mean that I’m wrong…

Raf says:

if you only care about being right and not what happens to the team, then go ahead and think that

Axl says:

I don’t quite understand. How does fixing Joba’s control NOT help the team?!? Am I missing something here?!? (head spinning in circles)

Seriously Axl, get the fuck over yourself. If you think baseball is easy as “go fix his control,” then you’re just obtuse.

Axl says:

Obtuse? why thank you. Although I wouldn’t want to call you Acute…wouldn’t want to give you any ideas hahah

I don’t see why everybody’s panties are in a bunch on here…put your pacifiers back in and calm down.

1) Get a fucking dictionary.

2) No, you’re not deflecting this with calling other people names. This is our party, and you’re the fucking asshole who annoys the shit out of everyone. Knock it off.

(Comments wont nest below this level)
Axl says:

1) Get a box of tissues

2) Life is too short to get angry and start insulting people you don’t know. It doesn’t really get much of anything accomplished.

Deflection, deflection, deflection.

I’m not angry. As I stated above, I am annoyed. You are annoying. Is it an insult if it’s fact? Please stop being annoying. No one in these comments enjoys it.

V says:

Joe, is it impossible for you to IP ban this d-bag?

Axl says:

Is it an insult if it’s fact?

I see, so you can negatively talk about people you don’t know in here…as long as it’s “FACT”…but if you, heaven forbid, bring up a few facts that might be negative about the Yankees…that’s not allowed…but that will ironically trigger the ability for endless negative talk about the people you don’t know…

Interesting. I get it I guess…even though it’s a little loopy to say the least

V says:

EVERY. SINGLE. POST. YOU. MAKE. IS. NEGATIVE. AS. FUCKING. HELL.

You wanna be an Eeyore? Go somewhere else. Please.

V says:

Ok, don’t throw that pitch 3 more times to walk him please.

V says:

STOP THROWING BALLS LOW AND AWAY, THEY’RE NOT GOING TO SWING.

Back to the fastball now, please. Let’s go, Joba.

pat says:

just drop the curve on his azz and be done with it.

Raf says:

blow one past him

Chip says:

So….is today lined up for Wang?

Joba didn’t throw a simulated inning, did he?

JGS says:

has he thrown an offspeed pitch for a strike yet?

Axl says:

Joba = not that good

Give it a rest. No one wants to hear your crap.

Axl says:

lol well i mean cmon…he hasn’t been that good that’s all

Just being honest…sorry

I guess honesty ISN’T the best policy… : /

pat says:

leche: it does the yankees good says:

wheres the gas joba?

BigBlueAL says:

5 fuckin sliders to Byrd. Couldnt muster the strength to throw 1 fastball by him?????

Same pitch five times in a row. What did Cervelli and Joba think was going to happen?

cjc says:

I feel like that was all Joba

Yeah, a fastball was needed in that AB.

Raf says:

why another offspeed pitch? 5 in a row there

Accent Shallow says:

How often do we see “In play, run(s)” off Joba’s slider?

cjc says:

wow he looks like absolute shit

pc69 says:

Crap. here we go again with Joba. Fuck!

Ivan says:

Pasqua says:

Honestly, what kind of horses**t sequence was that? All sliders? Why don’t you just write “I have no fastball tonight” across your forehead?

Drew says:

or maybe Joba thought the slider was the best place to go.
How’s that for “I have no fastball tonight?”

Pasqua says:

Yup. You’re right on that after the Davis sequence, but I still have no idea how you go slider to Byrd there. He’s practically waiting to drop the bat on the ball out over the plate.

Chip says:

That looks more like Joba there

pat says:

It’s ok he’s just spotting them 2 runs before our offense gets loco.

Pasqua says:

I’m always wary of the Yankees offense the day after an offensive explosion. Seems like they like to take a day off a lot.

Axl says:

0-2 count with 2 outs and the bases loaded…and he gives up a 2-run single?? Somethings wrong here…

pat says:

Yes he made a bad pitch. That is whats wrong.

He threw the same pitch a bunch of times in a row and Byrd put a good swing on an outside pitch.

Drew says:

Seriously dude, give it up.
Something is wrong here. I think we all know who it is.

Axl says:

You? I’m sorry to hear…hope everything turns out alright though.

Accent Shallow says:

Man, Chris Davis sucks.

Ivan says:

He does not, the guy is a monster in the minors but he’s just learning the fundamentals of hitting rite now and is just a mistake hitter with that power he has.

Raf says:

so 5 straight offspeed pitches followed by 4 straight fastballs to the next batter. weird sequences

Ridering says:

Thank Mo that inning is done.

Ivan says:

Well if that’s Joba worst inning in this game then, hopefully the yanks are in good shape.

Chip says:

Here we go, hopefully can make an adjustment next inning and come out firing in the 2nd. That could have been much much worse

BigBlueAL says:

Phil Hughes has a better fastball than Joba now!!!! LOL sorry had to go there.

Accent Shallow says:

Who would have predicted that would happen at any point this season?

Some call me...tim says:

Jobs clearly can’t start.

Yoba to teh 8!!1!

cjc says:

as much as I can’t stand Mike’s Joba to the pen talk one thing is for damn sure he is right Joba is a 5 inning pitcher right now

Accent Shallow says:

That was a lousy first, but can we see how the game shakes out?

Chip says:

Better than a 1 inning pitcher

pc69 says:

That is it, yell at yourself because you continue to put your head up your ass. Come on Joba.

Me thinks Joba is a head case, at times.

Jake says:

alright only 2 runs we can get that back boys

manimal says:

Oh god, my dad just suggested that the Yankees put Joba back in the Pen. I am living with a B-Jobber.

Baseballnation says:

Ohhh Sh@# now here’s another day of Mike Francessa’s snipping on Joba Chamberlain in the rotation…

If you don’t listen, you don’t have to put up with it.

Hova says:

Another 25+ first inning for Joba. What the hell is Eiland being paid for? He still hasn’t figured out how to fix this problem with Joba. Nonsense.

Damn him for not finding the cure for youth and inexperience!

Except for, you know, the first inning last game when he struck out the first two batters then got a GB to second.

cjc says:

fuck you go back to SS

Chip says:

You know, when Joba settles down, goes 6 and strikes out 10, this whole comment section is going to look silly

anonymous says:

Not gunna happen tonight.

Were they just playing the NFL on Fox music in the stadium?

pat says:

1 inning down and half the people here are already talking shit about being a 5 inning pitcher blah blah, it gets so old.

Drew says:

It is so annoying..

Spaceman.Spiff says:

Axl is also in rare form today. Exciting.

Axl says:

I’m actually in a good mood…but the Yankees are losing so people are automatically heated and upset…so the obvious solution is to take it all out on me…pretty standard really…

Some call me...tim says:

Oh buuuuuuuullshit.

People were tagging on your nonsense in the middle of the winning street up by four…

Axl says:

Good thing Brett Gardner is batting 6th lol

He’s on base. That’s what counts, right? You do know that about baseball, I hope.

Axl says:

I know everything about baseball. You can call me Tom Selleck aka “Mr. Baseball”.

Some call me...tim says:

Stealing bases is immoral…

Jake says:

Oh he’s fast…

Brazilian Yankee says:

So, should we be worried Joba is throwing 90mph FBs, per Gameday.

pat says:

bahaha right on the pitching hand, awesome.

UWS says:

Everyone just need to take a f***ing chill pill.

pat says:

flying I assume.

Drew says:

What the hell is going on here lol. How bout a replay yes

Drew says:

Cor Shep says:

I have MLB.TV Premium and it seems like almost 1/3 of the games aren’t in DVR mode (HD) and have to switch to standard mode (regular). This is bullshit. Does anyone else have this problem?

Greg G. says:

I have to watch it in Reg mode. If I switch to HD, the video is awesome, but it’s delayed by almost two hitters.

Greg G. says:

Game starts 2 hours late, and all the riff-raff comes out.

Gardner: fueled by grit.

Ivan says:

pat says:

FUCKING GARDNER BATTING 6TH ARGGGHHH

Ian says:

i really hope Melky’s not out for long.. damn i can’t stand this stadium.. 3 straight years of injuries to young, promising players..

cjc says:

didn’t look godd looked like they had to pop it back in

pat says:

He walked off the field moving it around fine.

cjc says:

would be nice if Matsui wouldn’t K right here

cjc says:

never mind FUCK

Accent Shallow says:

Third? I approve.

Will says:

Carl Crawford who?

Chip says:

That’s just as good as a triple right?

Ian says:

come on Matsui.. time to step up here!

Drew says:

Holy shit that was close

RichYF says:

A few weeks ago I got pretty angry about Gardner not doing exactly what he just did every time he got on base. I’m happy to see him finally running. He’s fast enough that he should only get caught by a perfectly executed throw.

Greg G. says:

Geez, Matsui almost killed Swisher!

cjc says:

best ball he’s hit in about 3 weeks

Brooklyn Ed says:

Todd Linden, come on up?

Axl says:

Thanks Chopsui…

Brazilian Yankee says:

Matsui looks done.

Ian says:

that ball looked inside

I don’t think it was inside, but it was exactly where a pitch was called a ball.

pc69 says:

I am so sick of Matsui. Fucking get him out of the line up. He is a WASTE of an AB…..

Will says:

Youre a waste of a commentor. ALL of your comments are negative and pointless.

pc69 says:

Thank you, I guess your opinion matters as much as mine! And you need to look up ALL. Less than 100% is not ALL.

And like is or not, Matsui is done and should not be in the line up, no matter how sugar coated it is stated.

for the money he makes, his performance should be better.

Accent Shallow says:

Matsui is so damn streaky that I won’t buy him being done just yet.

Axl says:

If you say anything other that isn’t sugar coated…these guys will turn on you in a second…

You just have to remember the main rule of being here…it’s very important…”YOU CAN’T BE YOURSELF” Any opinions you have must be sugar coated and/or embellished.

“If you say anything other that isn’t sugar coated…”

Grammar at its finest.

So maybe Nady’s the full time DH when he gets back…

Ian says:

we better hope not.. once Posada gets back he’s gonna be a 1/2 DH.. and Matsui still can be useful as a bat… it wouldn’t be beneficial for us to have 3 DH’s where we can only use 1 of them per game

manimal says:

Matsui needs one of those non-injury DL trips

swisssh says:

matsuis pitch was called a ball 2 pitches ago

pat says:

HAHAHA matsui is done, joba sucks, melky is out for the season. I fucking love the yankees but I HATE the fans.

UWS says:

BigBlueAL says:

Well Boston, Toronto and Tampa all lost tonight.

Chip says:

Stop making sense!!!

swisssh says:

pat you are a moron

Will says:

pat was being sarcastic…

Might wanna learn what the reply button is before you go calling people morons.

Tom Zig says:

You missed the reply button

dkidd says:

am i the only one rooting for the magic?

Nope, I am, too.

Tom Zig says:

Is that so LeBron comes to the knicks?

I don’t care about the NBA, really. I like LeBron a lot, but I’m just rooting for the Magic because…well, just because, haha.

dkidd says:

i think it’s that the league & the networks are salivating so openly for a kobe-lebron finals

Ian says:

i love Lebron and am a Knick fan.. I just want Orlando and Denver to make it to the finals so the NBA can look stupid for how much they’re marketing and preparing for a Lebron/Kobe final

Brooklyn Ed says:

Posada could come back during the Indians series:

http://mlb.mlb.com/news/articl.....Id=rss_nyy

Will says:

As long as he isnt rushed back.

BigBlueAL says:

Oh great the starter for Texas tomorrow is a LHP making his 2nd career start.

Accent Shallow says:

Holland apparently has some nasty freakin’ stuff.

V says:

Yeah, he’s a stud prospect. Lower ceiling than Feliz, but could be damn awesome.

Accent Shallow says:

Also, I’m not quite as worried about stud LHP as I was last year, since this year we have Tex/Swisher, so the lineup isn’t quite as left-handed.

J says:

if melky’s out for a while who do we call up? duncan is smashing in AAA, so is Linden… but both are AAAA types.

How about Jackson? This is the perfect time… he can platoon with Gardy at center and be the 4th OF when Gardy’s playing. What have we got to lose?

Chip says:

You don’t let him get exposed like that. The kid is what, 22? Let him get a full season at AAA and then look at him for next season

handtius says:

You lose his chance to develop.

J says:

he’s gonna be at the majors for a couple weeks. it’ll be a chance for him to get some easy experience with not much pressure. we’re not expecting him to be some kind of savior just playing until melky can come back from his shoulder.

if melky’s out for 1 month or more, we should call up or sign a veteran. if less, seriously, what do we have to lose? he’ll be getting less ABs but from major league pitching. If he sucks, then we know he’s not ready and he needs more time.

handtius says:

You don’t want to burn one of his options and start the clock. He is hitting 350+, but he is striking out too much. He still needs time down there.

J says:

start the clock? we’re not the rays here, we’re the yankees.

he’s going on the 40 man after this year anyway…

handtius says:

It’s about being able to send him down if he has issues. why waste an option year now unless you plan on bringing him up to stay? plus, they are the yankees, but you don’t want to start the clock early for arb. regardless of you back roll.

pat says:

The development of an exciting young player.

Chip says:

WOW where was that 6th pitch to Salty?

Infamous Richards says:

hey what happened to melky? i didn’t see it

Drew says:

Wow, Braves got the short end of the stick there. Obviously they were trying to win that year but damn.

Chip says:

Wow, Joba’s PC is definitely hurting this at-bat

Drew says:

But once Jober gets it together he’ll be okay. Texas likes to swing the bats early and often.

manimal says:

The Rangers’ booth loves Joba. They are gushing about his secondary stuff and how much of a complete pitcher he is.

Shdwrptr says:

Is Joba drunk again? What is he thinking throwing Salty 10 pitches in the zone when he’s swinging at every pitch that’s not outside. Throw the damn ball in the dirt or high. It’s the same crap I was seeing with Byrd. You get Byrd 0-2 and you think it’s a good idea to keep throwing the same pitch he won’t swing at?

V says:
Shdwrptr says:

Thanks. I hope Eiland is telling Chamberlain to start pitching and stop throwing. You don’t get good hitters out by throwing the same pitches over and over again outside the zone

V says:

handtius says:

I think “Classy post.” was sarcastic.

Shdwrptr says:

Really? I didn’t notice

/Sarcasm

handtius says:

I did.

double sarcasm

Great advice! Maybe you should be the pitching coach. It’s obvious the bums in the dugout don’t know what they’re doing.

Walter Sobchak says:

Isn’t the fastball the pitch ur supposed to have the easiest command and control on?

Chip says:

Depends what’s working for you that night

Walter Sobchak says:

Even if its not working, u can always throw a fastball down the middle just to get it over, he can’t even do that so far

Yeah, ’cause throwing fastballs right down the middle to major league players is soooooooooo smart.

pat says:

Yess throwing a fastball down the middle to one of the best offensive clubs in MLB.

Chip says:

Well this doesn’t appear to be Joba’s night

pc69 says:

Orlando just went up. Stern must be going nuts. His Kobe/LBJ matchup in jeopardy.

Accent Shallow says:

Thanks Joba. No need to walk to zombified corpse of Omar Vizquel.

Accent Shallow says:

Unless Joba can get his shit together, we’re gonna have a Wang sighting. In Texas. Yikes.

You mean get his shit together like two strikeouts and a weak GB?

Shdwrptr says:

I think he means get outs regardless of how he gets them while not throwing 25 pitches an inning

Accent Shallow says:

No, like throwing a lot less pitches.

I know, I was just being a smartass.

BklynJT says:

WTF, a 12 pitch strike out! I’d rather hit the guy and put him on base.

Rangers’ booth:

- Joe Girardi wears #27 because that’s the championship they are pursuing. In contrast that would be like Ron Washington using the #1.

LMAO

Tom Zig says:

50+ pitches through 2…no bueno

He’ll probably figure it out next inning

V says:

Overtime, tied 100-100.

Ivan says:

Yo that second FT LeBron made BARELY went in.

Mbusters01 says:

Watching that game on the TNT online feed and it sounded like the crowd burst into a ‘Yankees Suck’ chant. Didnt know Orlando was in the middle of Massachusetts.

LiveFromNewYork says:

LeBron is a Yankees fan.

V says:

Game looks over. Magic with a 6 point lead with 1 minute to go.

manimal says:

I thought Verajao tipped it but I guess not.

pc69 says:

was there a foul?

V says:

Looked like a BS call. There’s a reason I can’t watch the NBA. The fouls are ridiculous.

Drew says:

I hope we get some word on the Melkster soon.
/crossed-fingers

BklynJT says:

I hope so too. Any bad news will put a serious damper on our next 9 game winning streak.

Drew says:

Teix message to right time.

pat says:

Even Millwoods pickoff throw is loooooong.

pc69 says:

So Joba pitches his 5, then Wang?

pat says:

Nha they’ll probably throw Mo for a few innings to stretch him out.

Tom Zig says:

I hope this isn’t one of those days where BA RISP = 0

Drew says:

Robbie smashed one last time. Let’s see what he’s got.

Do it for Melky, Robbie!

RollingWave says:

Dear Cano: hit a 3 run HR here to avenge Melky

Spaceman.Spiff says:

Just tuned into My9, who’s calling the game?

Drew says:

Flash and Kenny

manimal says:

Orlando is demolishing Cavs in OT.

radnom says:

That was some ninja shit by Cano to dodge that one.

pat says:

haha Ponch got deleted right quick.

LiveFromNewYork says:

We can’t seem to play in this freaking park without leaving with a hurt player.
