Why not call up a damn position player? This is getting ridiculous with the relievers.

na i m trying to compile data on those who have performed similarly to phil hughes. I m trying to see how good and i want to follow his trends a certain way. Just wondering if anyone has better memory than me thats all. I m sure there are plenty of guys who dominated in the minors and sucked it on the big league level just wonder who is all lol

With the way the 'pen has been pitching, I would much rather see the starters try to get those outs than the bullpen. CC Sabathia has shown no trouble in those situations in his career in the past.

I'm just not sure why I'm supposed to care...are you trying to convince me that Hughes will be good? Because I already believe that...

The fact that he's been taking the starters out too late still supports that opinion, though.

Ok, I know i was blabbin about this yesterday but...
I found another pitcher who had comparable minor league numbers to hughes

clay bucholz

H/9 HR/9 BB/9 SO/9 SO/BB
6.6 0.6 2.5 10.9 4.39

vs

hughes

H/9 HR/9 BB/9 SO/9 SO/BB
6.0 0.2 2.2 10.1 4.52

vs
Beckett
H/9 HR/9 BB/9 SO/9 SO/BB
5.9 0.5 2.1 12.3 5.78

While clay is 2 years old his numbers are very similar. Beckett looks like he owns him with the K's but Beckett never pitched in AAA so his stats are only at the lower level of the minors.

Looking for more pitchers with similar numbers trying to throw some graphs up, anyone got anything?
Sorry if this is getting annoying but I keep wasting precious studying time searching through tones of minor league numbers and i m finding very litte!
