If it was a perfect world we wouldnt even need a bullpen...the starters would finish the games. If Aceves is getting it done then you keep sending him out there as long as he can take it. Trying to get inning for high risk or rookies is not the team priority its winning. Today we have CC vs. Carmona who has been getting hammered lately (though remember that Verlander came back to form against us, people step up against the yankees especially vs CC ex teammate). So if its the 6th inning CC has like 76 pitches its 8-1 yankees...do you pull him for the 7th just to get the bullpen mopup duty in a blowout? Hell no.
