The right move in this game was to go to Aceves, not throw Hughes out there in a close game for his first relief appearance. Hughes should have gone to the minors, and he could have come back for Wang after 10 days, or two starts, anyhow, if Wang was awful. The only thing I can imagine is that they did it to intentionally limit his innings. Just as a note, this is why I think Cash is further flubbing the whole Hughes/Wang thing.
