  1. JobaWockeeZ says:

Time to shake off the dust of the banhammer.

  2. Charlie says:

Just wondering, how can you ban a person? Does it not allow their email address back on or what?

  3. ansky says:

“anyone that curses at another commentor is banned immediately”

hmm, i wonder who that could be. U? W? hmm

  4. ChrisS says:

You can’t expect too much out of the bullpen when CC doesn’t get out of the 2nd.

Tomko showed why he doesn’t need to be in the majors despite Cashman’s mancrush on him.

Posada could have prevented that run from scoring (Robertson, too) and Melky nails the lead runner most of the time.

  5. John says:

D-Rob was screwed by the ump on the Hanley AB, we would have gotten out of this.

  6. Anthony says:

Relax, we’ve got two innings left with the top of our lineup coming up. This is certainly doable.

  7. Evan says:

Let’s get some offense, s’il vous plait!

  8. Charlie says:

i would kill for a comeback here

  9. Ivan says:

Guys, you do know, it’s quite difficult to win a game when ur best pitcher is knocked out after an 1.1 IP?

  10. cjc says:

ut oh freddy made a bubu

  11. RunnerS122 says:

    What was the on-field delay?

  12. yankeefan91 Arod fan says:

Can we get nunez i love his stuff hell be perfect for are bullpen.

  13. Dela G says:

    lets go yankees

  14. Accent Shallow says:

Game threads this year have been a minefield, with the occasional exception of blowout wins.

  15. LiveFromNewYork says:

I leave you people alone for ONE second and look what happens!

  16. yankeefan91 Arod fan says:

i hope they take away the 2 runs they scored.

  17. charlespoet says:

Is the person posting as V always this angry and cursing at everyone?

  18. yankees=warriors says:

What is the significance of the situation now?

  19. BigBlueAL says:

Damn, hoping the Marlins had to forfeit or something.

  20. cjc says:

my god could you imagine if umpires were responsible for world events my god they take forever and get everything wron

  21. Mike Axisa says:

    Ah National League baseball.

  22. Mike D. says:

BOOO. This delay is longer than replay delays.

  23. Dela G says:

hahaha joe girardi makes me laugh

  24. JobaWockeeZ says:

i thought girardi was stoopid and diint know how to manag teh gaem of the beisbol

  25. John says:

We are just going through a tough stretch here. We are just struggling to inferior teams and Nick Greens hit a walk-off for dem Sox today. We’ll get it soon

  26. John says:

    whats goin on?

  27. Mike Axisa says:

If De Aza is allowed to stay in, they have to play the rest of the game under protest.

  28. Mike Axisa says:

Girardi should get fired up and get thrown out of this one. What are they, 3-0 when he does that?

  29. John says:

seriously, can anyone tell me what the delay is for?

  30. yankeefan91 Arod fan says:

come one yankees lets gets sum runs here.

  31. Accent Shallow says:

Let’s see if they can make something happen . . .

  32. cjc says:

the sad thing is chances are we just waited 10 minutes for absolutly nothing

  33. Bob Stone says:

It’s ridiculous that it took ten minutes for four umpires to figure out that lineup snafu. Just pathetic.

  34. Dela G says:

Had he protested the game, what would that have done?

  35. yankeefan91 Arod fan says:

at least 2runs here yanks wtf.

  36. BigBlueAL says:

The delay has really cooled off Nunez.

  37. Capital T says:

I read thru the earlier posts and was surprised nobody questioned why Aceves was pulled after only 2 2/3 and 45 pitches. I thought he was a long guy?

  38. BigBlueAL says:

Girardi was just trying to delay the inevitable.

  39. Jobamania says:

Mike may have to ban himself ;) “I swear”

    uhoh Mike

  40. Jose says:

    Yankees teams after 69 games:
    2009: 38-31 or maybe 39-30
    2007: 35-35
    2001: 39-30
    2000: 37-32
    1997: 39-30

Still plenty of time. I implore you to enjoy watching this team. They are a good one, even if some of you don’t think they are.

    • yankees=warriors says:

I’m frustrated because when I’m finally able to watch the whole game, they’re playing like…this.

    • Capital T says:

Good point, I’m coming in off the ledge but I’ll keep the window open just in case

    • Riddering says:

Thank you for this. Now, when I want to appreciate my team I have evidence with which to support my optimism.

  41. yankees=warriors says:

    That delay sure helped…

  42. Jobamania says:

all that to go down 1-2-3

    A+++

  43. Steve O. says:

The Yankees have a fine bullpen, any other bullpen gets exposed in almost 8 innings of work. They usually work 3-4 innings, or in CC’s starts only 1-2 innings.

  44. Dela G says:

aaaaand we are down to cano, posada, and i forgot who else

  45. John says:

As his parting gift, Tomko should buy the team dinner for the loss. If not, he at least owes Ace some dinner after taking away the win and championship belt.

  46. Jobamania says:

    nice play

  47. yankeefan91 Arod fan says:

    vintage jeter

  48. Evan says:

Wow, nice stretch, Tex, to help Jeter out.

  49. John says:

If we lose, it’s going to suck. I’ve already worked out so I don’t where to take my frustration out. I’m thinking about doing a second workout.

    Yes, that was random.

  50. Ed says:

Girardi is gonna get canned with another bad week

  51. John says:

So they took away the run originally charged to D-rob? His Era is down to 1.88

    • Eric says:

That’s fair imo. The first guy to score was Coke’s responsibility, and the second guy scored on Melky’s error.

  52. I haven’t seen most of this game but I’m upset D-Rob gave up some runs. :( Oh well.

  53. Joebrah says:

So, it’s probably been mentioned, but there’s quite a few comments.

Was there any particular reason Girardi pulled Aceves out after just two and change?

He really looked phenomenal today. And doesn’t this organization have plans for him to be a starter? You yank him when he’s looked the best he’s looked all season and bring tomko in?

Tomko’s been released by his last three teams, including KC.

    • Eric says:

He hasn’t thrown more than 50 pitches in a long time. His arm wasn’t really stretched out enough to go any further.

    • Mike Axisa says:

He’s been working out of the bullpen for two months now, I don’t think he can do much more than 45 pitches anymore.

    • Moshe Mandel says:

He’s a reliever for this season. They want him to be available later in the week.

    • Joebrah says:

But Aceves has been the closest thing to a LRP that the yankees have had in their bullpen all year.

They honestly don’t have anyone who can throw fifty + pitches in that pen? They’ve got like 3 bench players and 90 pitchers on that roster, and not more than 5 of them can pitch for more than a couple innings?

I’m not trying to sound like a dick, I honestly didn’t know that and am, come to think of it, not all that surprised.

  54. John says:

    D-rob’s stats:

    1.84 ERA
    23 K’s and a .157 AVG against in 14.2 innings

    Awesome!

  55. yankeefan91 Arod fan says:

    come on yanksssssssssssssssssssss

  56. John says:

    Lindstrom throws 99?

  57. BigBlueAL says:

    Arod just got toyed with.

  58. BigBlueAL says:

When was the last inning the Yankees had a baserunner??

  59. cjc says:

what a shitty month and a very bad week terribly frustrating

  60. Jobamania says:

    barf

  61. Jobamania says:

as good as we were in the month of may, we’re just as bad in the month of june

    • J says:

our pitching has been average and adequate. its the offense that’s cost us games. take out our fiasco against johan, and the numbers look really really bad.

  62. yankeefan91 Arod fan says:

dis is great just great we lose to da nationals and now the marlins.

  63. Mike Axisa says:

What is that, 15 in row retired?

  64. JobaWockeeZ says:

A walk and a HR ties it, we’re not done as many people are thinking right now.

  65. Jobamania says:

uh, if melky gets on, we better see damon up there. screw waiting for the pitchers spot

  66. John says:

I say Tomko deflated the offense’s motivation

  67. yankeefan91 Arod fan says:

    now is getting preety interesting.

  68. Mike Axisa says:

Tying run to the plate, Matsui to pinch hi … oh, wait.

  69. Bill says:

The season is on the brink of collapse. We can’t beat Philly, can’t beat Washington, can’t beat Florida, needed a miracle to beat the Mets. CC is hurt, Joba is inconsistent, and nobody in the lineup is producing.

Two people need to go in order for us to turn it around before it’s too late- Brett Tomko and Joe Girardi.

  70. Tying run at the plate! Keep the line movin’, Brett!

  71. Evan says:

Apparently, my mother thinks that if Posada were faster, he could score on that hit of Melky’s. WTH?

  72. Jobamania says:

what the FUCK is gardner doing up here? this is unreal

  73. Andrew says:

leave it to gardner to kill the rally.

  74. ChrisS says:

Matsui would have been good here.

    You were right, Mike.

  75. yankeefan91 Arod fan says:

man i would love to see gardner walk and den a pinch hit grand slam.

  76. John says:

cmon Grit…( I actually have no confidence in him for this spot whatsoever for some reason)

  77. yankeefan91 Arod fan says:

    holy shyt this is good.

  78. Jobamania says:

    HOLY FUCK, GARDNER COMES THROUGH

    OH MY FUCKING GOD

    WHAT THE HELL

  79. Mike Axisa says:

    Did not see that coming.

  80. yankees=warriors says:

Damn, I was wishing for a inside the parker!!!

  81. BigBlueAL says:

OMG I thought maybe it couldve been an inside-the-park HR for a second.

  82. JobaWockeeZ says:

I THOUGHT THIS GAME WAS OVAH!

  83. Accent Shallow says:

Should they have sent Gardner? Ha ha

  84. whooboy says:

    Baba ORiley time!

  85. charlespoet says:

Wow. If only someone could reign in the throws of melky we’d be tied.

  86. Jobamania says:

damon shoulda been sent home

  87. claybeez says:

    Nicest swing yet from Brett.

  88. John says:

    no confidence in damon here

  89. Let’s go, Johnny! Bring ‘im around!

  90. yankeefan91 Arod fan says:

    comon damonnn

  91. BigBlueAL says:

    Wild-pitch.

  92. Accent Shallow says:

I was about to agree with Mike’s post from the last thread, that they should have saved Matsui so he could pinch hit for Gardner.

  93. Steve O. says:

And just like that, we’re one hit away.

  94. J says:

gardy! he might be a borderline major league player, but he’s been a god send for the Yankees this year.

  95. Mike Axisa says:

How in the world do you pull an 97+ mph fastball?

  96. Andrew says:

    Lindstrom is throwing gas

  97. Jobamania says:

    let gardner steal home :lol:

  98. Lidstrom’s motion reminds me of Veras’s.

  99. yankeefan91 Arod fan says:

i though that was ready to go to the screen.

  100. John says:

No confidence at all (WTF is wrong…IM trying my best, really) It’s gonna sting more because it could be another game lost by an error

  101. Jobamania says:

oh my fucking god, jeter? oh god, i’m not sure how i feel about this situation.

  102. Come on, Jeets. Show that clutch.

  103. BigBlueAL says:

Well, at least Jeter cant GIDP.

  104. cjc says:

    at least he can’t gidp

  105. Mike Axisa says:

Damon drew a walk with a tying run on third? OMG what a bum!!! Where’s Nady!!!

  106. yankeegirl49 says:

Please dont let this be a tease!!

  107. charlespoet says:

    Quick poll….

    Jeter does what?

  108. Jobamania says:

so much stress, please jeter do not fail me :(

  109. yankeefan91 Arod fan says:

    Captain clutch

  110. charlespoet says:

First chance, have to send Pena to avoid Capt DP.

  111. Charlie says:

holy shit, this is gonna be even sadder now if we lose

  112. yankees=warriors says:

If only this had happened yesterday, we would have won already.

  113. John says:

    Can the captain be clutch

  114. Accent Shallow says:

    Oh, Derek. :(

  115. Eric says:

    captain clutch

  116. J says:

    lol jeter

  117. Mike Axisa says:

Tailor made GIDP ball. He just walked the last batter, why take a pitch Jetes?

  118. BigBlueAL says:

    Of course, 1st ball swinging.

  119. yankeefan91 Arod fan says:

    omh jeter wtf

  120. Lindstrom walks the go ahead run on base and Jeter swings at the first pitch?

    • ansky says:

No kidding. I respect Jete’s judgement but swinging at a first pitch from a guy who can barely get his breaking ball over the plate? Not too thrilled.

  121. Jobamania says:

what the FUCK jeter, ugh. fucking unreal, i hate him in the leadoff spot, more times than none it bites us in the ass since he has no clue how to fucking work a count

  122. cjc says:

come on first pitch swinging captain clutch he is not right now fuck

  123. Ivan says:

    Oh well.

  124. Yanks99 says:

Jeter must’ve thought there was only 1 out…he’s tryin to ground into aanother double play.

  125. John says:

WOW!!! I knew it..now it just stings more

  126. yankeefan91 Arod fan says:

    omg jeter wtf

  127. Handtius says:

ello fellers. I am on Biz/Vac in Paris, Just got home, checking in on the game, and what do I see, a comeback maybe?

  128. whooboy says:

    He’s a hacker. Oh well

  129. bobtaco says:

How many times are they going to blow a game with the tying or winning run on third?

  130. Bill says:

Yep. Mr. clutch does is again. If A-Rod had done what Jeter did 2 games in a row we’d never hear the end of it.

  131. cjc says:

what a fucking tease this team is

  132. Evan says:

    *bangs head against wall repeatedly*

  133. BigBlueAL says:

0-3 this week in 1-run games vs the fuckin Nationals and Marlins, 2-4 overall. Sigh.

  134. Ed says:

Why swing at the first pitch after he just walked a guy?

  135. Jobamania says:

maybe francesa will talk about how jeter got robbed of another base hit there

  136. AsianShuutoHeat says:

It hurts more when you’ve tried so hard only to fall flat at the last step…

  137. charlespoet says:

Captain pulls a Cano after watching the previous AB where Lindstrom was alllllll over the place.

Summary, 13 or 14 straight retired, poor defense by Cabrera, bad pitching by Tomko….. so goes another series.

When the hell is this interleague done, it is killing the Yankees.

  138. Jobamania says:

When are we gonna move jeter from the leadoff spot?

  139. ChrisS says:

Oh well. Gardner provided some excitement.

Good see him back from the headache, too.

  140. yankees=warriors says:

    That was expected.

  141. Charlie says:

Pathetic series, once again. We are hitting some rocky times against bad teams. fucking annoying, the yanks better get hot soon. if we can’t beat the bad teams, then what’s gonna happen against the good ones (the Red Sox, anyone?)?

    • Zach says:

yeah 38-23 against non-Boston teams, guess we cant beat the good teams or the bad teams. just a .622 winning %

  142. John says:

    ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

This burns…two fames lost on an fucking error!!!!!!!!!!!!

  143. Andrew says:

Why in the world did Jeter swing on the first pitch? Ugh, what an ugly two weeks it has been in yankee land. Add in a possible DL Stint for CC despite what they are orignally claiming to be only stiffness.

  144. Charlie says:

I definitely blame tomko for the bulk of this loss. let us all pray he is DFAd tommorow.

    • Zach says:

yeah because Drob was lights out

      • Charlie says:

Drob has been nothing short of great this season. he had a bad day. how in the world could you complain about him?

        • JobaWockeeZ says:

Well I’m mildly amused. But D-Rob I believe blew a tie/lead against the Phillies I believe. But yeah he’s one hell of a good pitcher.

          • Charlie says:

what?? I have to restrain myself from cursing here, but drob is a good pitcher. He throws lots of strikes, has decent stuff, and has a freakin ERA under 2!!! He blew ONE tie against the phillies. Tomko has blown 3 games for us, go look it up. also, how was that amusing??

      • Tom Zig says:

But Tomko gave up 3 runs on 2 HRs.

    • charlespoet says:

They can package Berrora with tomko, bring melancon back and at this point, I am not sure who would fill Berrora’s spot. We just need Nady to get healthy, now.

      • cjc says:

package them together for what a porto potty

        • Charlie says:

IETC. And that might seriously be more valuable than either of them. Charlespoet, did you actually mean package them for a trade?? Cause that’s impossible. Literally no team would give up ANYthing for those scrubs

          • charlespoet says:

No package them to DFA. Bring Melancon to replace Tomko and get some experience. I just don’t know off hand who fills the spot for Berroa if they look from within.

Sorry, my sentence was not very clear. Trading them would laughable just for trying.

    • cjc says:

they won’t te should but they won’t so why waste your time its better spent praing jeter stops hitting groundballs at people or that amybe this defense plays smart baseball

remember when francesa in one of his joba rants was saying how he wants tomko as the 5 guy and joba in the 8th

  145. Bill says:

I think it’s time to bench Jeter for non-performance. Put Johnny at the top of the lineup and Swish 2nd. Bat Pena 9th. Jeter just doesn’t have it anymore. He’s washed up.

  146. Ed says:

How many times can we leave Brett on third?

    • yankees=warriors says:

Yeah, it’s getting so frustrating to watch that I would rather see him tagged out stealing home.
At least that will provide some spark and gives us SOME chance of scoring than none.

    • Charlie says:

maybe he should have stolen home

  147. Pasqua says:

The pitch was a good one to hit, so I can’t go crazy at Jeter swinging at the first pitch; however, I never like to see him go straight pull. His stroke is up-the-middle / opposite field. I suppose the pitch had enough plate to warrant a real go at it, but it just isn’t his game.

  148. JobaJr says:

    Thhhhhhhhhuuhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Yankees lose.

  149. BigBlueAL says:

I remember the good old days when the Yankees were in 1st place. lol

  150. donttradecano says:

    sigh.

  151. Jobamania says:

we should have known that the marlins aren’t a great defensive team and that our bats are pretty cold right now. Gardner had a better chance of scoring on being sent home all along

  152. Riddering says:

    Well, that was depressing.

  153. Tom Zig says:

On a positive note we did hit .500 with RISP today.

  154. Bill says:

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, we just aren’t as good as Boston at the little things- Grit, gut, clutch, heart, hustle, fundamentals.

Boston wins today in the Bottom of the 9th on a clutch HR. We have 2 games in a row where we can win the ballgame late and nothing happens. The season is on the brink of collapse, I just hope Girardi doesn’t completely run us into the ground.

  155. Dela G says:

    well that truly sucked

  156. BigBlueAL says:

Well, at least I chose the right game to attend this weekend since I went to the game on Friday!!

  157. Jobamania says:

its still inexcusable to swing at the first pitch in a game ending situation like that. Theres a man on 3rd! 2 outs, and the closer is known for being wild and he walked the man in front of you. what the hell is going on in your mind to swing on the first fucking pitch and heat a weak grounder

  158. Pasqua says:

One thought: did anybody notice that, on Gardner’s triple, the cut-off man (Uggla, I believe) made absolutely no turn to home when he took the throw from the outfield? He leisurely lollipopped it to 2B, as if there was no chance Gardner would be turning toward home.

I’d love to see the timing of the play, because if Gardner had turned for home, I think he could have made it based on Uggla’s lax play. On the flipside, I guess it’s possible that Gardner had already stopped and someone had relayed that info to Uggla.

  159. J says:

    Gardner since May 1st

    333/425/506

Gardy isn’t a future batting champ and isn’t slugging 500 for the rest of the season, but he hasn’t been lucky (check BABIP), doesnt strike out much, gets a lot of walks, and steal bases. He’s been playing all star caliber baseball for nearly 2 months minus injures.

  160. Bill says:

We basically have the same record as last year at this time. Except we have CC, Teixera, and Burnett instead of Rasner, Giambi, Ponson. Same exact record with 3 vast improvements. That can only leave one person to blame- Manager Joe Girardi.

    • Charlie says:

he gets some blame, but definitely not all of it.

    • BigBlueAL says:

There is no way the Yankees were 38-31 last year after 69 games. Were they????

    • Zach says:

Also no around for the first month, and hes now batting what .220? Blame Joe
Tex slumped for the first month, blame Joe
Mariano already matched his BS from last year, blame Joe for that too
Wang blew up, blame Joe for that too
AJ blew up twice against Boston, blame Joe for that too
Bruney lied and said he was healthy, blame Torre

      • Zach says:

        no arod around*

      • Charlie says:

The pen is managed poorly and Tomko is used in a big spot? Blame Joe
Our chances of winning are frequently killed by use of small ball by the team’s best hitters? Blame Joe
I gotta go, but there are others, too. Some things can be blamed on Girardi

        • Accent Shallow says:

Wait, the 5th inning is a big spot?

Tomko is the closest thing the team has to a second long man, since Phil Hughes is yoked to Wang.

  161. charlespoet says:

No one should be really surprised. If you go back to 2006, yankees did better against the NL but lost 2 of 3 to the nationals that year.

In 2007, were swept by Colorado and then lost 2/3 to the Giants – both teams should have one 1 game against the Yankees at best

In 2008, lost 2/3 to the Reds at Yankee stadium and then lost 2/3 to Pittsburgh.

In 2009, lost 2/3 to the nationals at Yankee stadium and now 2/3 to the Marlins.

Maybe they play to the level of their competition which would mean they will perform better over the next 6 games. Right now they are 38 – 30. I predict they will take 2/3 from both the Mets and Braves. Then 2/3 from Seattle, 3/4 from Toronto before heading to Minny and LA. That would make them 47-36….AND Boston has 9 straight on the road where they do not play well.

  162. Accent Shallow says:

What’s worse than a loss followed by an off day?

  163. Tony says:

    Gardner > Melky

COME WITH ME IF YOU WANT TO LIVE

  164. Drew says:

Joe’s got to be fuming right now.. Especially losing a series to his former team.

  165. Accent Shallow says:

    Interleague play is a travesty.

Losing in interleague is just insult to injury.

  166. Dela G says:

Apparently Joe has officially protested this game. The yankees will hear from MLB by tomorrow afternoon

    • Woah. What happened?

      • Drew says:

I couldn’t follow it. Something about the pitcher being slotted in the leadoff spot. Then not hitting leadoff. I couldn’t follow what he was saying. They protested the move immediately.

        • VO says:

          Via PETEABE

Meanwhile, the game was played under protest by Joe Girardi. The Marlins, he contends, made an illegal substitution in the eighth inning.

Relief pitcher Leo Nunez was placed in the first slot in the batting order. But Chris Coghlan, who was batting first, ran out to left field and was there for one pitch. That’s when Girardi went out to see the umpires.

The umpires made Florida take Coghlan out of the game. Girardi wanted Nunez taken out of the game.
          T
he protest, in theory, could be upheld and cause the game to be replayed from that point.

    • Jobamania says:

what a joke, thats a weak move by the manager imo

    • Dela G says:

well he is protesting the situation they had in the top of the 8th inning. If they win the protest, they get to do the 8th -9th innings over again

    • VO says:

I don’t think MLB will over rule it for 2 reasons. It didn’t effect the outcome of the game, and because of the whole scheduling problem, I mean they made them play after a 5 and a half hour rain delay.

      • Chris says:

Neither of those things should change the ruling on the protest. If the rule was applied incorrectly, then the protest should be upheld.

Also, there is no way to know if didn’t affect the outcome. Nunez pitched the 8th and didn’t give up a hit. If the Marlins were forced to use a different pitcher, then maybe he gives up runs and the Yankees could win.

        • VO says:

Ok, it had totally slipped my mind about Nunez, but I also do not think that the rule says anything with changing the pitcher. I think the only thing remaining was if the 1 and 9 hitters should have been switched.

  167. Alright enough of the Koufax dick sucking, guys. Can you talk about the game that’s on right now?

  168. Mister Delaware says:

Can we trade Veras to ourselves for Tomko then DFA Tomko?

  169. Jobamania says:

Hanson is going to make this team look silly on tuesday.

    • Accent Shallow says:

Funny, people said that about Santana after the Nieve game.

Honestly, I’d bet on them making Hanson look silly, but that’s just me. It’ll be his fourth career start.

  170. Francesa for prez says:

The solution to all of this is to fire Girardi and hire Francesa as manager. That’ll make everything better

  171. Nady Nation says:

Father’s Day curse? 2nd year in a row that our ace gets lifted early due to injury.

  172. JP says:

    Tough loss.

I said something a week or so back about the team being streaky. Multiple people flamed me for it, saying most analyses of teams being “streaky” prove that, in fact, they aren’t…or, every team is equally streaky.

Say what you want, though…terrible in April…great in May…terrible in June.

They have not hit effectively, outside of a 15-0 win, in the last 4 series they’ve played. Before that Boston series, they were on fire hitting.

Not saying we blame any individual, or the manager…just sayin’

  173. tony from the bronx says:

who is better defensively brett of melky?
    higher obp,Cano,Gardner,Melky.
Who has been having better at bats?
Joe should find more playing time for Gardner

  174. Jon says:

This is exactly why I stopped visiting pinstripealley.

The site owners get way to full of themselves after a small amount of success, start banning everyone from their site over stupid issues.

Instead of telling us to grow up, how about you grow up and stop letting words hurt your feelings. People get pissed off sometimes, it’s a chat forum not church!! Chill out!

Go ahead and ban me now, as if you actually could. I’m done with this shitty site anyway.

Tip for everyone, if you get banned, just come back with a different name!!! They can try to block by IP, but most of us use DHCP (from the ISP) so they can try but it wont work.

    • Mike Axisa says:

We’re just asking that you respect the other people here, and frankly asking people to cool off with the cursing isn’t exactly an unreasonable request. If you’re not mature enough to handle that, then we don’t want you here anyway.

      • Jon says:

I can handle it, I didn’t curse at anyone. I’m not even mad at anyone, except maybe Jeter!

My point is that there is no reason to ban someone for cursing. If the person being cursed at can’t handle that, they shouldn’t chat on the internet.

If you see a person being really abusive, on a regular basis, I’d agree with you….but if this site turns into another pinstripealley where they just start banning people for no good reason, it’s not like there aren’t 1,000 other Yankee blogs.

Do yourself a favor, don’t ban anyone unless absolutely neccessary. It’s a slippery slope!

        • Hey, Jon, how about you don’t tell us how to run our site and you follow our minor rules? It’s not that hard.

Not everyone is as comfortable with the cursing as you are, and when we start getting emails from people complaining about it, we’re going to do something about it. Don’t like it? Then go somewhere else.

    • Drew says:

go look at the previous thread. There’s no need for people to curse at eachother.

      • Jon says:

If someone disagrees with me on the internet, and curses me out, I don’t really care. I just ignore that commentor and move on. If the person is that pathetic that they lose their temper over an internet chat, why even acknowledge their existence?

We should all be a lot less sensitive, especially since it’s just a game! A great game, but still just a game.

        • Drew says:

Cursing at someone over and over in the thread takes away from the quality of the thread. Sometimes when I watch the game I like to come on and bullshit about the game. If a bunch of people continually curse at eachother it makes me want to just step away from the computer. Obviously that’s why a site owner would be pissed.

    • Accent Shallow says:

After I read the first line of the post, I thought I knew where it was going. I was wrong.

Guy completely deked me, and went off in another direction . . . to Crazytown!

    • J says:

      fuck you. lol

  175. Tom Zig says:

Hanley Ramirez wears #2 and has pinstripes on…hmmmmmmm interesting.

  176. Andrew says:

Interesting article on Rotoworld speculating about the availability of Josh Johnson. What would it take to get him? Hughes, Jackson, McCallister? I’d actually do that in a heartbeat. Would like to avoid giving up Montero, anyone else I’d be thrilled.

    • Accent Shallow says:

Now that the Marlins have secured their new ballpark, it’d be interesting to see if they’ll continue to sell off young talent as it reaches arbitration.

I’d love to have Johnson, but I’d like to see him stay healthy first. I’d be very hesitant to trade Hughes at this point, since he seems to be figuring it out, but for Johnson I’d definitely have to consider it.
