Ok, it had totally slipped my mind about Nunez, but I also do not think that the rule says anything with changing the pitcher. I think the only thing remaining was if the 1 and 9 hitters should have been switched.

Neither of those things should change the ruling on the protest. If the rule was applied incorrectly, then the protest should be upheld.

Also, there is no way to know if didn’t affect the outcome. Nunez pitched the 8th and didn’t give up a hit. If the Marlins were forced to use a different pitcher, then maybe he gives up runs and the Yankees could win.

Now that the Marlins have secured their new ballpark, it’d be interesting to see if they’ll continue to sell off young talent as it reaches arbitration.

I’d love to have Johnson, but I’d like to see him stay healthy first. I’d be very hesitant to trade Hughes at this point, since he seems to be figuring it out, but for Johnson I’d definitely have to consider it.

Interesting article on Rotoworld speculating about the availability of Josh Johnson. What would it take to get him? Hughes, Jackson, McCallister? I’d actually do that in a heartbeat. Would like to avoid giving up Montero, anyone else I’d be thrilled.
