Bryan V says:

LAST! Damn…I f’d up.

Heh. Technically, that is not a violation of the commenting guidelines. You’re good… for now.

Bryan V says:

LOL! I thought I may get in trouble, since it eludes to that damnable comment.

Bryan V says:

Never saw that commercial before. Sweet!

Brian says:

Don’t know if this was said earlier, but now 8 of 11 players for the Yanks in this game are home-grown. Rivera would make it 9.

Untrue. The Yankees never develop players. Ever.

Bryan V says:

Joba Chamberlain is actually from Japan. He just looks white.

At least Phil Hughes isn’t Chinese.

/oldmeme’d

Stephen says:

Only the Red Sox do. Their farm system is beyond comparison

Brian says:

Well that, and you can’t exactly take credit for creating God either.

15-20% of all starting backstops in the league….oops, there I go again.

Salty Buggah says:

But but we can ONLY buy players. CASHMAN BURNT TEH FARM DOWN!!!

TurnTwo says:

well exactly… they are homegrown players we bought by signing them after drafting them.

Cashman and the Yankees make me sick.

Drew says:

Oh, they told me pitcher was due up fourth this inning. I guess i’m the asshole for listening to them. Pitcher is in the 2 hole now.

Salty Buggah says:

A run or 5 would be nice here

Drew says:

Nah, I’ ready for #500.

Drew says:

whoops, that was a reply to the Saltman

Accent Shallow says:

Some insurance runs would be super nice, guys. Please?

Also worried the Yankees won’t have the cojones to demote Hughes if he keeps pitching effectively out of the pen.

Drew says:

Cash had cajones the size of a fucking bowling ball.

Accent Shallow says:

Clearly, but it’s one thing to release players who aren’t hurting the team, another to demote a guy who’s clearly been very effective.

I can’t quite figure out why Joe constantly thinks Swisher should be lifted for a defensive replacement while Johnny Damon’s in the game. I understand even less why Swisher should be lifted for Damon.

Nick Swisher was born in 1980.
Johnny Damon was born in 1973.

/nitpick

Pasqua says:

Hey – that’s ageism! And if Johnny Damon could lift his elbow above his shoulder, or move quickly…or see you from a reasonable distance, he’d totally kick your ass.

dre says:

Jake H says:

All the outs have been hard. Chubs is getting lucky.

Salty Buggah says:

ANOTHER crushed/well-hit out.

yankees=warriors says:

I suppose Hughes can only pitch one more inning today, because the 8th is for Bruney?

Will (the other one) says:

Man, now I hope Philly stays in the game long enough to bat.

I hope Phil is the last Yankee pitcher tonight. He needs the innings. He should pitch the 9th even if it’s still a one-run lead.

Mo be damned.

yankees=warriors says:

LOL, what a bold suggestion!
But I don’t like the way they’re screwing Hughes too.
One day he’s preparing to start for Andy, then CC, and another he’s backing up Wang or Joba.
The unpredictability is bad for everyone, and he’s supposed to be our future 2nd starter!

You know what’s nice and predictable?

Scranton.

yankees=warriors says:

Accent Shallow says:

It’d be fun/interesting, but you’ll get to see Hughes bat next year in interleague. I’d rather not see him here with only a 1 run lead, even if the Mets have seemed rather punchless.

Steve H says:

sarcasm? Don’t want him to pull a Wang…..

dre says:

can someone explain to me why Damon is in and swisher is out?

Bryan V says:

Because Joe Morgan says so!

Drew says:

Well, Melky is better at RF than LF. I don’t know though.

TurnTwo says:

id guess it has more to do with buying time on the offensive side of the top of the inning than anything else.

and who else are you going to take out in the double switch?

Jackson says:

Do you need the concept of a double switch explained or why they made that particular switch?

dre says:

there was not even a need for a double switch, just pinch hit for the pitch if and when he comes up your losing a quailty bat by takin swisher out…take out Gardner or melky if you must, but not swisher

Jake H says:

How many gidp will Cano hit into tonight?

I’m not sure, but one thing is certain, he’s hitting into them for one reason only:

Just to piss you off.

Jake H says:

people complain about jeter and his gidp so why can’t I complain about cano. He has been brutal with the gidp.

Bryan V says:

Perhaps because Robbie has hit the ball hard, and not just dinky little ground balls that turn into DPs.

cgs says:

I heard Jeter was in the DR with Cano all summer working on GIDP.

Riddering says:

I don’t know how much people “complain” about Jeter’s GIDP. They more tolerate it while appreciating Jeter for his otherwise awesomeness.

Accent Shallow says:

Gardner just misses another jack!

Dela G says:

man i wish gardner had waited for that curveball to miss…

Accent Shallow says:

Thanks for letting Livan fake his way through another inning, guys.

(I know Posada just missed a double and Gardner just missed a homer. So it goes)

Salty Buggah says:

Livan has 1 K and he has gotten that outside call to lefties all friggin day

Bryan V says:

Sure. But Livan is awesome, and the Yankee offense blows.

yankees=warriors says:

I’m SO glad we don’t have a mascot.

Some cheerleaders would be nice, though.

Accent Shallow says:

First replay of the Castillo pop of the night.

Put that one in the books, Howie.

Drew says:

Was that the first meeting of the year?

Bryan V says:

Actually, the ball hit the palm of Castillo’s glove. Had he been using two hands, his right hand would have been on the opposite side of the glove, so that extra hand wouldn’t have really helped.

Dela G says:

steve phillips is a MORON

HAHAHA PHIL HUGHES AN 8TH INNING GUY?

PLEASE SIT DOWN

Accent Shallow says:

There’s a reason he’s on TV and not working as a GM

Accent Shallow says:

Clearly, A-Rod needs to be moved to 1B/DH as soon as humanly possible.

TurnTwo says:

well, i’m not saying that itd be the right thing to do for Hughes, but he could be an effective 8th inning pitcher.

in that respect, Phillips isnt wrong.

Accent Shallow says:

Side note: the Yankees will be extraordinarily fortunate if both Hughes and Joba turn into worthwhile starting pitchers for an appreciable period of time.

In fact, if the Hughes/Joba/IPK troika produces one effective starter and one effective reliever, that might even count as a win.

pat says:

hahaha you “graduate” from the rotation to the 8th inning spot.

Just like Phillips graduated from a GM to a TV analyst.

TurnTwo says:

again, he’s not graduating from the rotation into the 8th inning.

he’d graduating from pitching in the 6th or 7th currently to pitching the 8th.

SF Yanks says:

Point is- Phillips is a moron.

TurnTwo says:

i dont think anyone would argue that.

but there is so much else to criticize him for, why pile on for something he actually said that was somewhat accurate?

Accent Shallow says:

Please don’t walk Castillo.

Alright, Phil. All the way back now.

Bryan V says:

Way to squeeze his balls ump!

Pat, is that you?

pat says:

We tease because we love, Pat. We tease because we love.

We don’t love you like that, though, pat. Don’t get any ideas.

Not that there’s anything wrong with that.

Drew says:

You’re all a bunch of pansy gays.
/IH’d

cjc says:

how can we get livan’s fucking strikezone wtf

J says:

cmon phil! we need strikes!

cjc says:

according to gameday 2 of those balls were well in the strikezone

Salty Buggah says:

I hate leadoff walks..DP Phil

Jackson says:

You want to DP Phil just for walking someone?

Salty Buggah says:

no no i meant get a double play lol

Zach says:

Bryan V says:

What a play all around!

BigBlueAL says:

J says:

that was a beautiful set play.

Suck it, Buster Olney.

Drew says:

Fuck yeah Al!!!!!!!

Dela G says:

derek jeter and a-rod straight up money

I still find it so awesome that the Yankees have both Jeets and Nails.

yankees=warriors says:

Drew says:

Jetes showing the bushleague fistpump. This guy needs to grow up.

David Eckstein would never have done that.

Bryan V says:

Really. I mean, real athletes don’t get excited.

daniel aka bryce harper says:

JEET-AH TO FERST BASE!!1!

Bryan V says:

The Mets should sign Joe Morgan.

Dela G says:

he would be a faster fielder than sheff

I know Phil hasn’t been using it as much out of hte ‘pen, but I hope he’s keeping the cutter sharp.

yankees=warriors says:

Unlucky, that was a DP ball.

Bryan V says:

Cano didn’t hit that.

Slu says:

Can Bruney pitch back to back days?

Bryan V says:
pat says:

Haha is it possible to freeze somebody with 95 mph heat? Cuz Phil just did.

Bryan V says:

Ah! Good point. -1 for me. :)

pat says:

Hahah nooo I was thinking the same thing, Cora looked frozen by that fastball, it was awesomely strange

Dela G says:

wow phil huhges for mayor

Phil Hughes is a starting pitcher.

Slu says:

Phil needs to stay in the bullpen.

Think of this bridge to Mo: Phil – 7th, Joba – 8th.

/sarcasm

Ivan says:

Phil Hughes is that man.

pat says:

hahah cora that big wood thing on your shoulder.. yea thats for trying to hit the ball with.

You da man Phil.

HUGHES YOU DA BOMB IN PHANTOMS, YO!!!!!

Have you actually seen Phantoms? I really want to, just becasue of that line.

I caught about 20 minutes of it on TV once.

It looked appropriately craptacular.

Accent Shallow says:

I was worried about Hughes to start that inning. Shows what I know.

Bryan V says:
Accent Shallow says:

Command looked off.

Bryan V says:

That one pitch he threw before showed you that he was off, and he shouldn’t start the next inning? Al-righty then.

Accent Shallow says:

Perhaps I should have phrased that “Watching Hughes walk Castillo made me worry about his command.” Make more sense?

Bryan V says:

Okay. Got it. Thought you meant you didn’t want to see Phil come out to throw that innign at all.

Mac says:

Phil Hughes says he’s too good for this bullpen crap.

yankees=warriors says:

LOL, Phil pitching sick still >> Mets hitters.

Bryan V says:

Joe Morgan>>>Phil

Professor Oak says:

Hughes got the flu too?

yankees=warriors says:

Yeah, Pete reported it.

b/c says:

So how bout Hughes sitting consistently at 95.. me likey!

Accent Shallow says:

I like it too. I also like how his average fastball was >92 when he was starting.

b/c says:

Agreed i wasnt going there in the least.. we heard 94 95 in the minors and i hope its translated to the majors now

Tony says:

I like how literally every human being on the planet would throw the ball faster out of the bullpen than as a starter.

I could be wrong, but I believe when Joel Zumaya was a starting pitcher his fastball topped out at 62 mph.

J says:

posada with another terrible call.

caught cora looking for a curve.

Bill says:

PHIL HUGHES IS A STARTING PITCHA!!!!! Seriously, he should be in the rotation in place of Pettitte or Wang. Those two will have to battle it out for the last rotation spot cause Hughes is being wasted in the bullpen.

Bryan V says:

So you want Joba and Phil to pitch from now until about mid-August, when they reach their respective limits. Then finish out the season with CC, AJ, Andy, Wang, and…umm…Aceves?

Zach says:

No we need to sign Ben Sheets!!

Bryan V says:
yankees=warriors says:

I thought he’s not going to be ready for this season?

Zach says:

late August i believe, but who knows

Bill says:

JOBA CHAMBERLAIN IS A STARTING PITCHA!!!! And he will be for the rest of the season. CC, AJ, Wang, Hughes will be our rotation for the playoffs if we make it.

Mike bk says:

phil hughes has another 100 innings on his limit so unless he is going 8 per start he isnt going to hit it. Even if he was starting right now at most he would get 15-16 starts so if he goes 6 per on average then he hits the limit at the end of the year not mid-August.

e mills says:

I can’t tell if there’s any sarcasm, but I agree he should be in there over Wang

Salty Buggah says:

You know, this Hughes kid might be good ;)

Bryan V says:

Nah. He came up in the Yankee organization. And they don’t develop any good players.

Dela G says:

is joe morgan a moron? He’s always been a patient hitter..

Bryan V says:

Did you just ask if Joe is a moron?

I’m sorry, but perhaps you’re the moron for even asking that. ;)

Jackson says:

Cody Ransom? If Jeter doesn’t get on here you have to let Hughes hit, he’s dominating.

Jackson says:

And my point is now moot

Professor Oak says:

I hear Hughes is the best hitting pitcher on this team not named CC, or so he claims.

mick says:

Mike,How about a fan poll as to who is the bigger dumbass..Steve Phillips or Joe Morgan?Slight sarcasm

Drew says:

Lol, it’s funny how Dek hits lefties so well this year.

Dela G says:

“starting pitching is the key to a championship team”- Joe Morgan

noooo way???

i thought it was an excellent uniform configuration

Zach says:

8th inning pitchers are teh most important part of championship teams

Sam says:

It’s actually team spirit

I thought it was 8th inning dominance.

Teix is the man says:

Francesa claims its teh pen!

BigBlueAL says:

Well that was a waste of using Matsui.

Salty Buggah says:

cmon Texy we need a basehit for another run

Zach says:

Jerry Manual with his socks up

BigBlueAL says:

I love it how Manuel always jogs out to the mound when changing pitchers.

Bryan V says:

Walking Tex to get to ARod…interesting.

Bryan V says:

Yes. Manuel jogs out to the mound to walk Tex.

*shrugs*

Sorry, accidentally replied.

Professor Oak says:

AROD SMASH THAT BALL PLEASE!

yankees=warriors says:

That was funny, almost turned an intentional ball into a wild pitch!

Salty Buggah says:

I hope JoPo gets hot again soon his #’s are droppin

ArodMVP217 FTW! says:

Cano Redemption, calling it!

ArodMVP217 FTW! says:

Come on Meow, find a hole!!!

You gotta love the Cal League.

http://foxyurl.com/7DM

Drew says:
Arman Tamzarian says:

Talk about sticking by your guy, 4.2, 13 hits, 11 runs, 11 earned.

Drew says:

He had good stuff tonight. heh

Accent Shallow says:

I can’t wait for Cano to NOT hit into a DP after ARod is walked.

Dela G says:

man a-rod should’ve mashed that pitch

cjc says:

if i were green i wwould just walk arod and go after cano

Ivan says:

Deposit this in the stands A-Rod.

pat says:

wow that was a dirty pitch on 3-1

NYQ says:

WOW- the Mets have more hits than the Yankees. CRAZY!!!!

Professor Oak says:

But we’ve hit the ball ridiculously hard today, they haven’t.

NYQ says:

Ok they hit it hard but at the Mets gloves! So it is still not a hit.

yankees=warriors says:

What are the odds that Cano does anything productive?

Steve H says:

NYQ says:

10000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 t0 1

cjc says:

if his career with the bases loaded tells us antyting small

pat says:

you knew he wasn’t gonna throw arod a fastball there.

Jackson says:

Look how happy he looks to walk there

Fuck, Cano has absolutely smoked everything tonight to no avail.

Dela G says:

man awesome at-bat arod

bases loaded for the new captain double play

Typical A-Rod: taking the walk to pass the baton.

Bryan V says:

Since Robbie can’t hit into a DP, he’ll get a base hit.

yankees=warriors says:

Hate to point out, but that would have been another one…

DGeezy says:

well a least cano cant hit into a double play now but DAMMIT ROBBIE YOU’RE DUE, COME THRU WITH A HIT HERE!

Jamal G. says:

ARod looked way to happy to take a walk there.

/Idiots

Steve H says:

pat says:

IT”S A CHEERDOWN!

Eirias says:

It is amazing that there are so many Yankees fans there that the Let’s Go Yankees cheer resounds.

Salty Buggah says:

I like A-rod taking balls (even if they are intentional at times)

Law of averages requires Cano to get a hit here right?

Accent Shallow says:

I’d really like to see a Hughes demotion, although he’s pitched well. It’s clear the Yankees aren’t going to replace Pettitte or Wang, so he needs to be taking the ball every fifth day. He can pitch out of the pen later in the year, if need be.

Cano hits the ball hard again, right at an infielder. Argh.

Bryan V says:

Hughes should go down to AAA, like you said. Then come up in mid-August to take Joba’s spot in the rotation.

putt says:

Dela G says:

DAMN IT, ANOTHER HARD HIT BALL RIGHT TO CASTILLO BY CANO

Sam says:

Tough luck for Cano tonight

Bryan V says:

Stop hitting the ball so hard!

Ugh. He hit it hard, though.

jr says:

robbie has no luck today..

Conan says:

Typical. I’m sure Cano apologists will once again say “he hit it hard”.

Sam says:

Are you saying he didn’t?

Conan says:

Yes, he hit it hard – I’m just tired of watching the same results over and over from this guy. He needs to be dropped in the order.

Steve H says:

Yeah, he really needs to increase his babip by hitting some bloopers towards the bottom of the order.

Bryan V says:

Well, he did…didn’t he?

These guys aren’t as good as you at hitting the ball hard, and making sure the guys in the field don’t make good plays.

Zach says:

Bill says:

Just horrible luck for Cano. He’s been scorching the ball but it just happens to go right at people. That’s variance for you.

pat says:

People are gonna bitch and cry but he smacked it again right at somebody.

Jake K. says:

Robinson Cano: hit ‘em where they am.

dre says:

i hate saying players aren’t clutch but….Cano is pushing it…

Salty Buggah says:

Lucky we had 2 outs or else another DP was in order.

Teix is the man says:

what is this that i’m hearing about how the phillies want ti trade for wang?

Bryan V says:

Sure! I’m sure CC would love to get some Philly Cheesesteaks in return.

Teix is the man says:

no on the espn insider, it says they want wang. is it likely they trade him?

Drew says:

Only if they give us John Mayberry JR’s fake dad.

Philly LOVES the Wang.

Teix is the man says:

you homophobic bastard!

Slu says:

That might work out well for both team. Phils have a decent SS prospect.

BigBlueAL says:

Tex and Arod might not see another strike for the rest of the season.

Yes, because every ball Robbie Cano hits for the rest of the year will continue to be hit right at someone.

(rolls eyes)

BigBlueAL says:

No, hopefully he starts making them pay. Or Posada bats 5th where he should be batting. Hey I LOVE Cano but Ive been saying for a while now he should not be hitting 5th, besides the fact he has by far the lowest OBP of all the regulars.

Luis Castillo is a Robinson Cano hater.

dre says:

who would we get back for him?

Bryan V says:

The Flyers PA announcer.

Don’t hit Jorge in the balls, Brian.

NYQ says:

Over/Under on Mo blowing it.

Can you have an over/under on that?

/gamblingphraseFAIL

Jackson says:

How would one set an over/under on something like that. I don’t think that’s how O/U works.

Eirias says:

Depends on whether it is tied.b

Bryan V says:

How would you blow a save in a tie ball game?

NYQ says:

pat says:

People enjoy watching this type of baseball more? Where you have to keep switching people and taking pitchers out so they don’t have to hit? This shit sucks.

jr says:

goddammet bruney

putt says:

At some point Cano has to go on a 9 – 12 bases loaded run, right? How can his average be so poor with the bases drunk? It seems to be a case of bad luck lately, that can’t last forever.

Yankee1010 says:

You would think. However, it’s been this way from 2005 through the present.

putt says:

I read ya, I’m just trying to keep hope alive, yaknow, put the good vibes out there..

Andy Stankiewicz says:

Nice way to start the inning.

Bryan V says:

The ump was not calling a strike. That last one was right there.

Why did I think the bases were loaded when A-Rod walked? Me fail.

Dave says:

Really dislike this move to bring Bruney in. Hughes only threw 16 pitches…

Accent Shallow says:

Well, they pinch hit for him to try and get some runs. Didn’t work out.

But if he’s going to be a 1 inning (~20-30 pitch) reliever, he should be starting in Scranton.

DGeezy says:

ugh lets not hand them the game please

Mac says:

Did ESPN just have a BABIP segment? Which Joe Morgan read?

Well, the words “batting average” are in it, so I’m sure it didn’t kill him too much.

Evan says:

Nah, that was actually Bill Fremp.

/FJM’ed.

Accent Shallow says:

Bruney,

Please throw strikes. Thanks.

Dela G says:

cmon bruney, lets get a DP

Why is Aceves warming instead of Rivera?

BigBlueAL says:

Ill admit this is straight up 2nd guessing, but couldnt have Hughes just SAC bunted and stay in the game???? I know Bruney is the “8th inning guy” but Hughes was fucking throwing peas tonight.

Either way lets hope Bruney gets out of this.

Aceves? Are we really going to have to go through this again?

Accent Shallow says:

Unlike the Red Sox, the Mets currently have two (2) major league hitters in their lineup.

Zach says:

Or incase Bruney gives up a run

NYQ says:

Hey great idea lets walk the lead-off batter!!!

NYQ says:

Yankee1010 says:

Why does Cano need to bat 5th? At what point is he moved? Yes, he hit a couple of balls hard tonight. However, he also insists on letting a pitcher that is having trouble throwing strikes off the ropes far too often.

There is no incentive to pitch to Teixeira or A-Rod with Cano perfectly willing to get himself out behind them.

Thank you, Gary. That was out of the zone.

Dela G says:

bruney that was money to sheff!

Dela G says:

cmon don’t try and walk TATIS

put it in the damn zone!

Dela G says:

tatis couldn’t even catch up!

attaboy

jr says:

Zach says:

more strikes, less balls

pat says:

Bruney’s stache has a counteractive effect.

Mo please? It’d be a 4 out save, Joe.

/rolls eyes

Oh wait, nevermind. Whatever. He should be in next anyway.

Bryan V says:

So he would only need to get 2 outs in the 9th. ;)

charlespoet says:

not a hard decision you would think, especially with a day off tomorrow.

e mills says:

I thought the yankees got rid of Veras

Bryan V says:

Is there anything more frustrating than relievers walking guys?

cjc says:

fucking throw strikes

zs190 says:

The post-DL Bruney makes me nervous, he’s back to his old iffy command again.

Pasqua says:

Wondering if he’s trying to throw it through a wall to show everyone that he’s healthy. He does tend to fall into that trap from time to time.

Yankee1010 says:

Come on, Bruney. Really?

charlespoet says:

Memo to all men: Growing Porn stache like Bruney does not make you better. It curses you.

BigBlueAL says:

Best porn stache ever, Adam Morrison.

The only thing Adam Morrison ever did that was the “best ______ ever” was “Best postgame cry ever”.

Conan says:

Actually, there were still a couple of ticks left on the game clock.

Accent Shallow says:

I dunno, I say the ’stache is batting .500. See: Giambi 2008

BigBlueAL says:

So far in his return from the DL Bruney hasnt exactly grabbed the 8th inning role by the throat.

Chris says:

He’s thrown 3.7 innings, giving up 1H, 1R, and 4 Ks (plus 4BB). That’s very good for an 8th inning guy.

Accent Shallow says:

All those are good numbers, except for that pesky “more walks than innings” thing.

Dela G says:

we need a DP badly

really bad. We got the effing rookie up

throw him 3 fastballs, and he’ll swing and miss 3 times

Accent Shallow says:

And Martinez whiffs on a pitch at the neck. Melky-esque.

Drew says:

Just uno maas out, then it’s mo time

Drew says:

MUchos gracias Bruney.

jr says:

throw the ball over the plate please…

Accent Shallow says:

Bruney,

How about you get two more outs without allowing any runs to score, so K-Rod can’t say “Blowing that lead couldn’t have happened to a nicer guy.”

Slu says:

Am I the only one who hears BOW CHICA WOW WOW every time they show Bruney and his ’stache?

Dave says:

and Bruney says, “how come everyone forgot my biggest flaw has always been my insatiable desire to walk a ton of people?”

Salty Buggah says:

Uh-oh cmon now Bruney…Double PLay please!

Dela G says:

WHO CALLED THAT STRIKE OUT BABY! ;)

Drew says:

Axl, is that you? ;)

Zach says:

Dela G says:

you guys are ice cold. i love it :)

yankees=warriors says:

Whew, one more, Bruney.

yankees=warriors says:

Or…go for #500, Mo!

Pasqua says:

Who will defend K-Rod’s honor?! WHO?!!

But I thought Jorge called an awful game and couldn’t make an adjustment like that mid-game.

jr says:

Fernando Martinez is a lot like Dustin Pedroia. Except Martinez can’t hit the high OUTSIDE fastball.

BigBlueAL says:

Bruney making Mo’s job a little harder since his return from the DL.

NYQ says:

Why does it seem that Martinez is up at big opportunities in this game??
And then strikes out.

Slu says:

Good. High leverage situation and he goes to Mo.

Exiiiiiit liiiiiiiiiight

Accent Shallow says:

I can’t ever complain about Mariano entering a game, but that’s twice that Girardi has changed pitchers to face . . . Omir Santos.

Chris says:

Girardi has said he only wants to use Mo for 4 outs. It just happened that Santos was up the second time with two outs in the 8th.

Salty Buggah says:

I love the fact that Rivera just trotted out of the CitiField bullpen, which is appropriately called “The Mo’s Zone”.

Sleep with one eye open
Gripping your bat tight…

Exit light
Enter night
Say your prayers
Off to never never land.

Since the Mets refuse to play it.

NYQ says:

Oh God didn’t Santos get that big homer off Paps?

Mariano Rivera >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Michael Flatley, Lord of the Dance

yankees=warriors says:

This is not the bandbox of bandboxes, Fenway Park.

Pasqua says:

Yes, but Fenway does not equal Citi Field in terms of “hitter friendly parks.”

I hope.

OH! And Paps does not equal Mo in terms of closers.

cjc says:

if I have to hear about santos on wfan all night again I might puke lets go mo

putt says:

Mo’s going with the rugged look tonight, George must be rolling in his hyperbolic chamber.

H-Y-P-E-R-B-A-R-I-C

Pasqua says:

May I have the language of origin, please?

Jackson says:

No, he has a chamber that he sits in to make outrageous exaggerations.

I did appreciate the fact that the typo was also humorous in it’s own right, though.

Accent Shallow says:

I’d like a hyperbolic chamber, but I hear they cost 2 zillion dollars.

Stephen says:

if that’s the word you wanted, ietc

Dela G says:
