Jane Heller book signing and trivia contest
ByEarlier this year, I reviewed Jane Heller’s Confessions of a She-Fan and found it an enjoyable and humorous read. Jane e-mailed me over the weekend with word of a book signing. She’ll be at Stan’s Bar across the street from the old stadium on Wednesday from 3:30-5:30 p.m. Anyone heading up early for the Yanks/Nats game should stop by and say hi. For more on the signing, check out Jane’s site.
Meanwhile, I have an extra copy of her book to give away. In honor of today’s 15-0 drubbing of the Mets, I have a score-themed question. Prior to today, twice since 1954, the Yankees have won by a score of 15-0. The first person to tell me the dates of those games, the Yanks’ opponents and the winning and losing pitchers will win the book. Both of the games were road games. Leave the answer in the comments, and be sure to leave a valid e-mail address in the e-mail field of your comment.

No penalty for misspelling the last name of the only pitcher ever to throw a WS perfect game?
He didn’t spell out the first names
doesn’t he have the wrong losing pitcher though?
Yeah, my bad. Wrong losing pitcher.
It was not over Clancy!
Clancy was the losing pitcher on the SECOND game that day, which the yanks won 2-0. Whoops.
Tried out Bing by the way. Was happy with it.

Since I helped you out, I think I deserve it.
And that solves our problem.
