The tampa game was 2-1, not 2-0

  2. They’re never gonna promote Venditte, are they?

  3. steve says:

    ahhhh dick sandwiches.

    hopefully jesus is okay

  4. Mattingly's Love Child says:

How much long at AA would ZMac need to deal before he gets a promo?

I’m not saying promote him now, but it doesn’t seem like the Eastern League is really challenging him that much.

  5. RollingWave says:

Uggh, just when you thought Whelan was trending in the right direction…

    • Accent Shallow says:

I get the impression that the positive in the Sheffield trade was not having to pay him anymore. There’s still time for Claggett, Sanchez, and Whelan to change that impression, but I’m not holding my breath.

  6. pat says:

This feels like the first game Jesus didn’t get on base via hit or BB.

  7. Greg G. says:

Gotta love it when all the affiliates win.

  8. John says:

If Jesus is hurt at all, I will take the first flight to Trenton and beat the ass of the guy who collided into him.

  9. emac2 says:

He caught a runner and I don’t think the pitchers have given up any runs when he has been catching.

  10. Drew says:

    Zmac is the man.

  11. Jake H says:

I think that they have Zmac throwing his off speed pitches more based on his groundballs less. I do wish that they had pop outs also since an infield pop up is as good as a k.

  12. zack says:

Yet one more of countless examples showing how incredibly stupid it is to allow runners to slam into catchers at home. If its illegal at every other base, and its illegal in the rule book, why allow it? It’s dangerous and not what baseball is about. It caters to the lowest common denominator and whatever thrill some fans get from seeing it is far less than the risk to the catcher (and runner)…
