We’d be lucky to have just Romine in our system.

  2. Mack Daddy really can’t be the best nickname we can come up with, can it?

  3. Accent Shallow says:

Anyone other than Higgy who’s worth looking at on the SI Yankees?

I haven’t heard of half these guys.

  4. i hate it when Jesus doesn’t play.

  5. Reggie C. says:

The weather looks to turn midweek (hopefully). That’s when the guys at Staten Island hopefully can turn it on. There are good college hitters on that squad + 2nd years like ‘Shio and Arodys that should make that team fun to watch on most nights.

  6. Brandon says:

I cant stand when Montero doesnt play. It just doesnt seem like a DOTF without a Montero hit.

The article says that Charleston sends 5 representatives. I count 4, not including the 2 coaches. Dan Brewer, Melky Mesa, Pat Venditte(who should have been in Tampa a long time ago), and Hector Noesi. Oh and the 2 coaches, if anyone is wondering, are Torre Tyson and Jeff Ware.

  7. Mark says:

Looking forward to getting to my first Staten Island game on Saturday night, but just annoyed the Yanks and Mets are playing Saturday night as well. Looking forward to seeing Higashioka play. It is worth it to drive past all the chop shops to see the baby bombers.

  8. Mike bk says:

Lane at NoMaas says that Adam Warren the 4th round pick from UNC has signed and should be in SI by the weekend.

  9. FL Yank says:

I vote for either “Mack Attack”, “Mack Truck”, or “Big Mack w/ Cheese.”

  10. ManBearPig says:

    Two things:

    1. The kid is good enough to get drafted – so he probably already has a nickname.

    2. The kid just got drafted, shouldn’t he have to earn his nickname?

  11. Clemson Rob says:

Hungry Hungry Humberto much better nickname than Dirty Sanchez

  12. pete says:
