lol. not many aces are taken out after 90 pitches after a 9 pitch inning. It’s happened, just not often.
Oh, ok. Because he’s an “ace”, he can’t be taken out of a game that he’s given up more runs in than innings he’s pitched.

They do review their games every night. The difference between this year and years past is that the Questec system is no longer in use. They got replaced by something supposedly better but from what I’ve seen they have regressed.

I’d like 100 percent correct umpires, human or not. Now it will be impossible for every human ump to be 100 percent so I’d take anything that can give 100 percent.
what about ups that where special glasses that illuminate the strike zone and mark where a ball passes through it. You retain the human element, while getting 99.9% accuracy and create MORE jobs.
Anything that gives perfect to near perfect strike zones.

damn lots of hate for michael kay on here every night. have you guys heard other team’s play by play announcers?? theyre a combination of boring, mostly ignorant about the rest of the league & show little to no energy in calling the other team’s home runs…so little that if you were just listening to the game, you wouldnt even know the opposing team homered. i agree kay his flaws like calling every ball hit to the OF ‘hit deep’ but it could seriously be MUCH WORSE.
I agree with this. Kay is crappy but a lot of teams have just simply AWFUL announcers who are way more homer-inclined/stupid than Kay.
Yup. Having the package is probably the reason why I actually really like the YES announcers because I get to hear most of the crappy announcer around the country.
I had the baseball package for two years while living in the Boston area. I agree completely. I was appalled at how terrible some of these other local/regional broadcasters were/are.
Agreed, I heard a Braves broadcast over a stream, while in Paris. They are so homer happy it’s ridiculous. The Yankees hit a homerun and one of them said “oh darn”.
I hate Kay… about 140 games per year, I’d rather someone else. I have heard some other announcers, what I feel about them holds little weight because, well, I don’t listen to them 140 per season.
I just prefer Singleton 100x more than Kay.
