Happy Birthday, Big Stein

By Mike Axisa

George Steinbrenner turns 79 today, and although he’s scaled back his involvement with the team, his impact still resonates throughout the organization. The New York Yankees wouldn’t be what they are or where they are today without him.

Happy Birthday, big guy. And thanks.

I can’t think of an owner I’d rather have own my favorite team, except maybe Cuban. Mr. Steinbrenner might have been misguided sometimes, but think of having an absentee owner, or a Donald Sterling money-grubber.

Happy birthday to him.

(Also, wasnt it Cash’s birthday yesterday? That’s funny.)

cuban can’t/won’t ever win an nba title. Give me furious george any day of the week because he actually cares.

Happy Birthday George, you’re the best owner.
