I know several Braves fans who find that statement incredibly funny. Most of their fans were begging to get rid of him this year.

Wasn’t one of Minaya’s justifications for the trade the fact that Francoeur plays in a lot of games?

Also, cool stuff about the Army/Navy game. Though the rivalry is clearly diminished/borderline meaningless (in football terms, I mean), it’s still a fun game to attend. I went a few years ago @ Giants Stadium and it was a real good time.

I like this. The Mets trade for Jeff Francoeur because Omar Minaya believes he represents an upgrade over Ryan Church. The Yanks would try to trade to for Francoeur to flip to a team with a dumb GM. That says it all about the Mets.
