Oh and just to be sure I am completely on the same page, what Yankees team have you been watching this series? The one I have been watching is the same one that Mike Axisa has mentioned in all his pre and post game posts. But I understand that anyone else can utter the same frustration and it is understood that they are speaking with insight, knowledge, while the more emotional reactions are just “idiots”, “ledge jumpers”, “don’t understand baseball”, etc.

I see the error of my way. Even in a 3 game losing streak where they have committed numerous errors, thrown to the wrong base, haven’t hit with RISP, haven’t pitched very well, the use of the work “suck” is really the issue.

And Hawk Harrelson used to be the Sox GM. He was hired out of the broadcast booth and during his brief stint running the club, he fired Tony LaRussa and Dave Dombrowski and traded young Bobby Bonilla for Jose DeLeon.

I’d love to see Melky continue his hot streak to keep Gardner on the bench when he comes back. I know you never jeopardize the starting 9 to improve the bench, but he’s so valuable as a pinch runner that if Melky stays hot, you have to keep Gardner as the 4th OF. A bench of Hinske, Hairston, Gardner, and Molina is the best we’ve had in almost a decade.
