left him in too long? i would’ve kept him in there. Its not entirely his fault the bases are loaded with 1 out. I think he could get out of the jam, and he was mighty pissed about it.
He walked 2 this inning. I don’t know why he was so shocked.
He’s up to his pitch count, 85-90 was the limit for him, he’s not stressed out yet, so you have to take him out.

Yeah it was Kotchman, he had that weak hack at the slider. I don’t mind Chad being pissed. He just seemed to be a bit too demonstrative for my liking. But hey, if he pitches how he did today and keeps the little ‘tude it won’t bother me. We’re in line for the W.

Gaudin didn’t do bad, I feel what we saw tonight is pretty encouraging.
Problem with him, is that his pitches “move” too much. So finding the strike zone for him might be a problem. Which in turn drove his pitch count up.
he did walk 5 guys in a lineup that’s 11th in OBP. it was nice first start, but lets not forget they’re a shitty lineup

yea but he has been a real good guy for most of the season. Every bullpen pitcher has periods where they struggle and only closers are usually good year in year out. Aceves still hasn’t been quite figured out and he has served his purpose.
yeah i agree i think hes been so effective because he has multiple pitches that always seem to be working. but if hes figured out im pretty sure he will get crushed.

So how is Hughes such an invaluable member of the bullpen if he’s never getting used? It went from starter –> long man –> 8th Inning guy –> someone just there.
We know Joe plays matchups, I don’t mind it honestly. Our biggest “problem” with everyone pitching well in the pen and in the rotation is getting them consistent appearances.
Have virtually all the runs against us this road trip come with 2 outs?

. I live in houston when i am not in school in college station, tx. During my roadtrip, i went to montreal, toronto, niagara, nova scotia and back to toronto. It was a lot of driving the past 2 weeks, but i’m glad to be going home. Me and my friends are ready to go back to our own homes and sleeping in our own beds 
Yeah, I’m fine, it was five years ago. That’s quite a trip you took. I’ve spent a fair amount of time in Montreal (living in Burlington, VT, it’s a nice refuge), and that is a wonderful, eclectic city. You must be happy to head home, though. School is starting back up pretty soon, I bet, so you’ll need your rest.
