Thurman was a hard nosed player, all about winning, not about stats, he gave his body up for the team, always played hurt, i remember when i heard about the plane crash my knees buckled, an i started to cry, Thurman was as team oriented and dedicated to winning as you will EVER find.

Sad part is that Munson survived the crash…and even asked his 2 friends onboard if they were ok!! He was trapped and unable to move..you have to wonder if they pull him out would he be paralyzed for life??
