  1. Drew says:

    Keep ‘em comin’ Axisa.

Halladay has a no hitter through 5!!!

  2. Salty Buggah says:

Melancon is a team player. He was just trying to fuck up Halladay’s rhythm.

  3. Salty Buggah says:

    Ramiro will break it…

  4. VO says:

    HELL YEA PENA!

  5. Chris says:

I was under the impression that the game was already over. And the season for that matter.

  6. Reggie C. says:

    Whew…

  7. Dela G says:

    ramiro fucking pena!!!

  8. Pena ruins Hallady’s night…still 3-0

  9. Zack says:

Who had Pena breaking up the no-no?

  10. alex gonzalez says:

i wish we had billy wagner. He could be good pitching. He throws 100, thats what we need, not some kid who walks a guy with bases loaded. You cant do that, it a basic dont of baseball.

  11. Reggie C. says:

    good swing Hinske.

c’mon … Halladay is due to throw a meatball.

  12. VO says:

    Let’s do this Tex!

  13. Riddering says:

Does that black eye make Albie grittier than a Red Sock?

  14. Dela G says:

    cmon tex

  15. Dela G says:

why did you swing at those tex!!

  16. Salty Buggah says:

    that was ball 4 Tex

  17. Dela G says:

    attaboy tex!!

  18. VO says:

Alright let’s go A-Rod, stay patient and make him pay.

  19. Mike Axisa says:

Give me one of those unclutch grand slams when the team is already losing Alex.

  20. Salty Buggah says:

    Tie it A-rod

  21. Drew says:

Would you rather have Jetes or Al up in this spot. loaded, Halladay, 1 hit game, 5th inning. I’m happy it’s Al. Though neither would upset me.

  22. Reggie C. says:

    C’mon Arod.

DO IT WHEN IT COUNTS !!!ll!

  23. Dela G says:

    holy cow

how did i know he would strike out

  24. BigBlueAL says:

Right down the cock. 1-2 count is not a time for guessing.

  25. Salty Buggah says:

    good cutter, it fooled him.

  26. Doug says:

    Gah, the cutter.

  27. Tom Zig says:

    Is nomaas’s facebook status serious?

  28. nathan says:

Attaboy Alex… getting in fine form for the playoffs…

  29. Mike Axisa says:

    Paul Byrd … pitching depth!

  30. nathan says:

Wt does it tell u that the MLB network didnt even cut out to the ARod at bat… haha

  31. Doug says:

Albie just fell down some stairs, I swear to god.

  32. BigBlueAL says:

That Baseball Boss ad in the top right just asked Sabathia for Peavy, would you make that deal???? LOL

  33. Doug says:

HOT NAKED YOGA IN KAY’S APARTMENT

    Coney, you dirty dawg

  34. Tom Zig says:

    My questions are:

    Can Albaladejo go 3 innings?

Will Mike Dunn make a cameo today?

  35. Mike Axisa says:

Alex Rios with the White Sox: .156-.167-.266 in almost 70 plate appearances.

Just throwing that out there for everyone who said the Yanks should take on his salary to magically lower the price for Halladay.

  36. VO says:

    It’s a Mike Dunn sighting.

  37. BigBlueAL says:

    Cliff Lee struggling again tonight.

  38. Tom Zig says:

Actually, this game is still winnable

  39. Salty Buggah says:

    DUNN!!! SWEET!

  40. Mike Axisa says:

    Mike Dunn in the hizzy!

  41. Dela G says:

    GIT ER DUNN!!!

  42. Tom Zig says:

Dunn is a pretty big dude.

  43. Dela G says:

    hey, he gets an out!

  44. Mike Axisa says:

    First four pitches from Dunn:

    95
    95
    95
    95

  45. Karl W says:

So do you guys think that Albaladejo is fatter than Joba?

  46. Dela G says:

well he does love those walks, so he’ll have to limit em a bit

  47. Salty Buggah says:

    cmon Dunn, no runs please

  48. Dela G says:

    you gotta throw strikes man

  49. dkidd says:

    is dunn considered a prospect?

  50. Reggie C. says:

Dunn is a marginal prospect at best if he can’t hit the strike zone with any consistency … no matter if he sits at 95.

  51. Dela G says:

how come i’ve never heard of blue ridge communications?

  52. Dela G says:

    WHERE DID THAT MISS???

  53. Brazilian Yankee says:

Dunn is just as advertised, great arm and terrible command.

  54. Jay says:

They didnt make that play in AAA

  55. I hate Tom Gordon says:

    Dunn getting lucky.
Still … not impressed. At all.

  56. Dela G says:

great job by a-rod on that out

  57. Tom Zig says:

    Arod is a 1B

    /Buster Olney

  58. alex gonzalez says:

I’m not impressed with this guy either. im worried for the future after this year.

  59. Drew says:

    Where’s Edwar’s glasses?

  60. Dela G says:

oh boy, dunn you need to throw strikes

    pretty please?

  61. Brazilian Yankee says:

Alex playing a mean 3rd base tonight.

  62. Karl W says:

It looked like Dunn was crying. I feel bad for the guy. I hope he gets more chances.

  63. Dela G says:

i was at the eaton centre 2 weeks ago!

  64. Mike Axisa says:

This inning reminds me of April.

  65. Tony says:

Is Edwar Ramirez wearing his shirt backwards? Yes, yes he is.

  66. Salty Buggah says:

    right down the middle

  67. Brazilian Yankee says:

It looks like that long stint in the minors didn’t change Edwar. He’s still doing his thing (sucking)

  68. Dela G says:

    YIKES!!

  69. I hate Tom Gordon says:

I seem to recall Millar liking facing Edwar. Something abouut edwar being good hitting.

  70. Karl W says:

    We cannot throw strikes today.

  71. Dela G says:

    finally got outta that

  72. Maurice says:

    Facing Halladay is HELLA GAY!

  73. Drew says:

Long half inning for Doc to sit. Let’s get him out of the game and get E-Ram the Dubya.

  74. Chris says:

Wow. That outing was vintage Edwar. A ripped double, a walk and a K.

  75. Johan Iz My Brohan says:

Holy shit, I go out of the house for two hours, wtf did I miss?

  76. VO says:

Does anyone remember Edwars debut? If I believe correctly it was 3 straight strikeouts.

    • VO says:

      remember correctly*

    • Mike Axisa says:

Yep. Morneau, Cuddyer, and Lew Ford. So two legit big leaguers and Lew Ford.

    • Pasqua says:

I was at that game, sitting upper deck, left field side. I remember watching him mow those guys down and not having any clue what he was actually throwing. The changeup looked like a splitter, or a cutter, or a slider (we were far away), depending. We couldn’t help but notice the physical resemblance to Mariano…and the 3 K’s didn’t hurt. Oh, how young and foolish was I!

  77. Karl W says:

Good thing we had the mighty Pena in today or we’d find ourselves on the wrong side of a no no.

  78. Dela G says:

good god he is killing the yanks tonight

  79. Drew says:

If I was a reporter I’d ask Halladay how it feels to pitch another meaningless gem…
At least he gets to wear a cool powder blue uniform.

  80. Dela G says:

That was a bullshit strike 3 call

  81. Tom Zig says:

We ran into vintage Halladay today…not much you can do about it. I’m not even mad. Just mad at Edwar for coming in with the bases loaded and promptly giving up a double. As punishment he should close out the game.

    • Drew says:

Coming in with the bases loaded is not easy. I’d rather him give up a hit then walk the guy. Of course, he walked the next guy but you know what I mean…

  82. Chris says:

    I love stats like these:

    OPS in September:
    Posada: 2.070
    Varitek: 0.250

(I know they’re ridiculously small sample sizes, but still)

  83. Dela G says:

his strke zone has been incredible

he gets any call he wants

  84. Mike Axisa says:

If Joba should be in AAA, then Junichi Tazawa should be in the Mountain West Conference.

  85. Tom Zig says:

Tazawa had a bet with Byrd that he could give up more runs before being taken out.

  86. Mike Axisa says:

The Mets bullpen is mid meltdown, FYI

  87. toad says:

Nice to be able to be philosophical about this game and admire Halladay’s performance. Boston getting pounded, and another game off the calendar. No big deal.

  88. The Artist says:

You’ve been watching the Roy Halladay Show. A Mark Goodson/Bill Toddman production.

  89. alex gonzalez says:

what a joke of a game.

  90. Tom Zig says:

At least Toronto faces Boston again one more time this season. Let’s hope that today’s Halladay shows up that day as well.

Although by then, it may not even matter.

  91. Dela G says:

no one is happier to see the sox get blown out than i am

  92. Brazilian Yankee says:

We’ll definately start another win streak tomorrow.

  93. Riddering says:

Good luck coming back from that score outside of Fenway, Boston!

  94. Salty Buggah says:

At least we lost to vintage Halladay, not to Freddy Garcia.

  95. Rey22 says:

Hey, on the bright side, we only stranded 5 runners on base today, while the Jays stranded 24 :)

  96. GG says:

Just lookin at the Philly game, and Miguel Cairo was PH’ed (over Ibanez)…and was lookin at Cairo’s stats, his 2004 season with us was unreal for him

  97. JSquared says:

i’d rather lose 6-0 than get smacked by the White Sox and Freddy Garcia… but TEH PAULLY BYRDD!1!11!!!!!

  98. Dela G says:

dang, i thought they would put nick green in as a pitcher today, but he is already there at 3B

  99. Zack says:

kay: “with only going 3-4 IP you wish Joba could let it loose and hit 95-07″
cone: “if i was Joba id stop looking at the radar gun and just focus on spotting your pitches”

there’s the difference in analysis between someone who talks about pitching, and someone who actually pitched in the majors

  100. Tom Zig says:

Boston has an epic lineup out there right now.

  101. LivefromNewYork says:

Hey fans! It’s troll night on RAB. Get your ugly ass dolls with the crazy hair while they last.

  102. Januz says:

This loss is no big deal, so they got one hit big deal (It was NOT a no no). But Boston will lose tonight (And maybe Anaheim as well), so they are not losing ground. Another factor is this: When you throw Gaudin and Joba vs Romero and Halliday, you are very happy splitting the first two games (Particularly when a split of the next two gives the Yankees a 5-2 road trip, not bad at all).

    • Pasqua says:

It’s Magic Number Time, baby. No movement on the board means just one less day to catch us. I’ve got no problem with it.

  103. LivefromNewYork says:

The Yankees have been sick this year. However it’s impossible to win 162 games.

  104. Dela G says:

    damn, the rays lost tonight
