I was in that crowd!! All of us stopped on the concourse to watch it after Penn State killed FIU and let’s just say there was a lot of jumping, screaming, laughing, chanting, and hugging random people. It was amazing yelling “block that kick” at the TV and seeing the kick blocked!!

Noo!! Not Northwestern. Pick Penn State!! It’d be a combination of my two favorite things (and as a student, I could probably actually get a ticket)!!

However, since Penn State averages about 109,000 a game and plays in the largest stadium in the country, I’m thinking that the chances of this are sadly zero..boo.

Every time you post a new set of tear-down photos, I feel like I’ve lost another digit or limb.

I realize they are carefully deconstructing the Stadium to maximize revenue from memorabilia being saved, but let’s get it finished. This is like slow water torture.

It’s also terribly unfair to the community to lose the use of the park that should be there already.

The Yankees should help to preserve a piece of the Stadium by contributing in a major way to the Save the Gate 2 organization. The Stadium, and its rich history, deserve a proper memorial. As benefactors and trustees of that history and tradition, it is the very least the Yankees should do. What do others think about this proposal?
