  1. All you people who have already given up disgust me.

  2. Mike Pop says:

    Calm down people!

  3. MattG says:

Don’t worry. Burnett’s got is groove now, and Lackey didn’t look like anything special. Some of the cows are still in the barn.

  4. Stadium Garlic Fries says:

I guess the AJ media was waiting for showed up finally for them..

  5. C says:

Okay let’s get those 4 back right here

  6. andrew says:

    Well, that escalated fast.

  7. Jackson says:

Yankees are winning this game 8-6

  8. Brazilian Yankee says:

Can we PH Posada this inning? It’s not like the Molina-AJ combo is working.

  9. james says:

    long night……….

  10. Will says:

How do we get from “IF” AJ retires a hitter back to “WHEN”?

    (Thoughtfully stares out window.)

  11. And NO, Girardi should not pull AJ nor get anyone warming up. Let him pitch out of it and settle down.

  12. kunaldo says:

lets hold it here fellas…we had a chance for some runs last inning, we can do it again…4 runs is not insurmountable

    LETS DO THIS!

  13. danny says:

not scared, we have planty of time to make that up

  14. Stormrider6 says:

Good call, Mr. Axisa. Let’s call this one, “How AJ Got His Groove Back.”

  15. Drew says:

    Soo woop.

    Positive Posse in the hizzy.

    I’m comin for you Lanny!

  16. Alright, A.J. Shake it off.

The next inning will be huge for Burnett. If he can somehow find a rhythm, he could turn back into good A.J. and give the offense time to catch up.

  17. TJ says:

Do you think Posada actually comes in?

I mean there’s no way it can get worse.

  18. Yankee1010 says:

There’s no way Molina is allowed to hit, right?

  19. Justin R. says:

They need to be patient here as always and don’t start taking wild hacks to get back into it with one swing.

    Plenty of time.

  20. Jobamania says:

its still a game, AJ only at 21 pitches and if he gets his pitches working(seemed like he settled down) we can win this game

but did anyone notice Jeter’s reaction time on that groundball by torii? that opened the floodgates imo, he could have had that had he not just stood there until the ball basically reached the edge of the infield grass

  21. Ant says:

Aj will settle down and we will start teeing off on Lackey. I have no doubts

  22. Mike Axisa says:

A run this inning would be huge, even just one.

  23. E-ROC says:

If only Burnett was pitching at Yankee Stadium………..

  24. nathan says:

I think its supremely vital to take 20+ pitches this inning…. AJ’s streakiness is what i bank on…

    let AJ throw 5 regardless…

  25. Eirias says:

Burnett is getting squeezed! Get to blogosphere up in arms about umpires getting bought off! After all, isn’t a 7 game series worth more money than a 5 game series?

  26. bonestock94 says:

Lets see them score a run or two. Lackey sucks, I don’t care if he’s their #1. Hopefully AJ’s mental episode is over and the Yanks can gradually chip away.

  27. Jobamania says:

    so close.

  28. Mike Pop says:

    Boo. Just missed it.

  29. Brazilian Yankee says:

    Swisher brilliant as usual.

  30. JGS says:

    our smoked shots get caught

  31. Cano just got under it.

Swisher hit it right at someone.

    Dammit.

  32. Jobamania says:

cmon guys, everything is being hit hard but not int he right spot.

i still cant believe we left both runners on in the first

  33. Stadium Garlic Fries says:

I am glad that Posada wasn’t behind the plate for this non-sense.It would be easy to pile on up him after that.

  34. charlespoet says:

I agree with whoever said it above, Yankees need to control Lackey’s rhythm right now. Make him throw many pitches.

  35. Mister Delaware says:

Bright side 2: Kotalik just tied it.

  36. Henry Triana says:

MOLINA WILL TIE IT WITH A GRAND SLAM. DO NOT WORRY.

  37. Yankee1010 says:

Lackey doesn’t have great stuff tonight. The Tex call was huge, but A-Rod just missed one, Matsui hasn’t been on, so discount his at-bat, Cano just missed one and Swisher just smoked one. They can score off of him.

The key will be if Jose Molina can turn A.J. Burnett into Cy Young.

  38. nathan says:

Well if AJ was gonna soil the bed.. better this game than anything else…

  39. Jobamania says:

    that was terrible

  40. Will says:

Hey where’s Sajak today? Maybe that’s what AJ needs behind the plate.

  41. ShuutoHeat says:

I really don’t like the UMP tonight.

  42. TJ says:

    Well that worked out

  43. Jim says:

Bullshit. that was a foot outside.

  44. I can see the Mets signing Lackey for big money and after 6 starts, he gets injured.

  45. Brazilian Yankee says:

Best offense in the majors, great inning.

  46. Mike Axisa says:

Where the hell was that pitch?

  47. charlespoet says:

So that was a quick inning. Might be good it was quick, give AJ less time to think about how awful he was in the first.

  48. Chuckles says:

    Kotalik!

  49. AROSEN15 says:

Its gonna be quiet in here when its 5-3 in 5th?

  50. Marcus says:

This ump wants to be part of the action. He’s bored with calling accurate balls and strikes.

  51. Stadium Garlic Fries says:

pitch not only away but down too..how the hell he gets called on that?

  52. nathan says:

Hey thats 2 borderline calls now.. looks like Fieldin Culbreth has a wide “top inning” zone

    • ShuutoHeat says:

Cullbreth is a blind prick, but I’m not going to say Angels paid him.

      • nathan says:

well, our guy hasnt missed any bats to test that theory

        but instead of bases loaded no-out in top 1.. u havd 1 out 1st n 2nd

  53. Jobamania says:

AJ needs to hunker down this inning or else we’re doomed

  54. ansky says:

Man, I really hate thunder sticks!

  55. trueblue says:

That was a tremendous response by the guys.. Way to go!!!!!

  56. Ivan says:

Took a nap, wake up, and the yanks are down 4 runs…….not good. Oh Well at least it’s early.

  57. ShuutoHeat says:

Alright, downright ugly zone from the plate UMP.
No complaints, but let’s get this shiet down.

  58. mustang says:

Its unbelievable after what this team has done this post-season that people are give this up in the second inning.

    Why bother even being here?

FRIST STOP OF THE BANDWAGON EVERYONE WHO DOESN’T BELIEVE GET OFF !!!

  59. Jobamania says:

    CMON AJ, quit falling behind

  60. Dela G says:

cmon yanks, let’s start the comeback

  61. JackC says:

And no one is warming up because…

  62. charlespoet says:

Ok just threw Holy Water on my hat…. it sizzled a little bit so that means it had bad mojo, so I will take responsibility for the first inning debacle.

Oh and great obvious statement by Buck on the scouts.

  63. Drew says:

Dude that last fucking pitch was btter than the pitch Lackey threw. WTF

  64. AROSEN15 says:

We are up 3-1 in the LCS. Did we really expect not to have one clunker in the entire postseason. Its 4 runs!

  65. Sleepy Carl says:

As long as Fuentes is their closer, no lead will be safe.

  66. Dela G says:

TSJC tells me to calm down every time i get riled up

i am going to calm the fuck down now

    *does some wooooosa*

  67. Esteban says:

    POOP

  68. hutch says:

    unreal…

  69. Mike Axisa says:

I hope Girardi’s at least smart enough to have someone up in the pen.

    • Dela G says:

trust me mike when i tell you this

      AJ will go 6 2/3

    • Andy In Sunny Daytona says:

      Et tu, Mike?

    • Mike, nobody should be warming. Let AJ give us innings. We’re up 3-1 and have a great offense. This game is still winnable by AJ, and even if it’s lost, we have two more at home to win.

      Big picture. Let AJ pitch.

      • Mike Axisa says:

It’s still winnable, but they can’t just let him go out to soak up innings if he’s giving up runs. I’m well aware that this game is far from over, but at some point you have to pull the plug. Every ball has been hard hit, except Rivera’s.

        • That point where you have to pull the plug is not remotely now.

He allowed no runs that second inning. Relax.

          • JackC says:

I find your admonitions to”calm down” and “relax” a little irksome — no one’s screaming, no one’s panicking — no one’s urging to not let him pitch — but to pretend he looked ok in the second inning is silly — hopefully he’ll settle down, but it seems flat out dumb to me to not have someone potentially ready in the quite plausible event gets rocked again soon.

            • I find your admonitions to”calm down” and “relax” a little irksome

I find your inability to consider the big picture before you let fly with your panic a little irksome.

And yes, asking for someone to be pitching in the pen right now is panic. Don’t sugarcoat it. That’s a panic move.

  70. Dela G says:

my question is how the hell is mathis doing anything this series?

thank god for no HK47 this game

  71. ansky says:

crap AJ aint foolin anybody tonight.

  72. nz says:

    let’s see Chad.

  73. Chris says:

Look at that. Jeter turned a double play and actually touched second base with the ball.

  74. Mike Pop says:

    OH no!

  75. Drew says:

    2 DP’s is a good thing.

    /pat’d

  76. C says:

Every single hit or out has been crushed so far

  77. thisbudsforyou says:

at least these hard hit balls are double play balls when hit right at someone.

  78. Stadium Garlic Fries says:

Part I don’t like is everything getting smoked..

  79. Yanks21 says:

    AJ STOP SUCKING BALLS!

These guys having been busting thier balls this whole series.. we need you to pitch and stop worrying about pies in the face!

  80. Riddering says:

    I like these double plays.

  81. Will says:

    Yay, progress!

  82. Marcus says:

You’d think now that the Yanks are down 4-0 Buck would get a little more excited about double plays. I guess Mathis base hits are more exciting…

  83. Dela G says:

    great comeback inning AJ

    very good job

  84. Jobamania says:

    quick inning

  85. Doug says:

I hope this is AJ settling down.

  86. Charlie says:

good thing we got molina in there. burnett pitches sooo well with him and so poorly with posada

  87. Alright, that’s something to build on.

Time to put one up, offense.

  88. Someone get Jeter some Robitussin!!!

  89. baravelli says:

Hey everybody, remember when Tim McCarver said the word “line” in Spanish for no reason at all last inning?

    • ShuutoHeat says:

Yeah, he wanted to show off his Spanish.

He’s waiting for someone to punch him in the Huevos, so he can flash that word.

I bet the guy is a blast to have at Mexican restaurants, imagine the loogie/special sauce he gets in his food?

    • Mister Delaware says:

Tim McCarver made racial slurs in front of his Cardinal teammates.

  90. Nels says:

If AJ settles down, this game is completely winnable.

  91. ShuutoHeat says:

    Okay, let’s buckle down.
Going to be an old school duel of the bats.

And man, I fucking hate these blackberry commercials.

  92. Ivan says:

    Oh yeah one more thing:

“We Play Today, We Win Today” Go Yankees!!!!!!

  93. hutch says:

“Your fastball’s up, your curveball’s hanging…if you were in the show they would light you up!”

But hey…no runs scored that inning… Nuke J lives to fight another day

  94. Will says:

Really, I don’t think I can take these commercials for another game…

  95. danny says:

    k, lets go offense!

  96. Hova says:

    In AJ we trust.

    /pissed myself

  97. Mike Pop says:

People really think Gaudin is a better bet for the next 4 or 5 innings than Burnett? Come on.

    • Mister Delaware says:

Exactly. Go Burnett/Gaudin 4/5 or 5/4 if it gets bad but there’s no reason to give Anaheim more looks at our pen than necessary. Unless anyone thinks Gaudin was ready to go 8.

  98. Jackson says:

Who is ready for 30 “Good thing Molina is in the game” comments when he makes an out to lead off the inning?

    I know I can’t wait!

  99. Charlie says:

glad to see a quick inning. but does anyone else feel like we’ll find out after the game that aj has the flu or something like that?

  100. Yanks21 says:

One run at a time boys.. One run at a time..

Oh by the by.. I am talking about the yankees (angels you stay right were you are)

Some still have 2004 in their head and the putrid hitting with RISP, save last game, is weighing on their minds.
I don’t give a shit. Grow the fuck up and get over it.

    Or go see a therapist.

Dude, did you lose your sense of humor or did I miss the “no smartass comments/joking” rule not allowed in here. Calm down, you are working on an aneurysm and we don’t need that happening to anyone.

But your comments above towards me, really??? A therapist and Grow up? Wow, I think you sunk lower on that one this I did making the stupid comments.

As they said in anger management – Goosefrabba! Goosefrabba!

  102. Yankee1010 says:

    They’re all over AJ.

Put up a run or 2 here and the Angels have to start thinking it isn’t meant to be after stinging the ball all over the field and the home plate ump using 2 zones.

  103. nathan says:

I would take it if the score remains the same till the 7th and we work Lackey out by the 6h or something

    • Scooter says:

If this team is working counts and having a solid approach, it’s not 4-0 when Lackey comes out after 6.

And a professional championship team sees that it’s hitting the ball well. Eventually, hard-hit balls fall in.

  104. Jobamania says:

    ugh, molina

  105. AROSEN15 says:

    1st pitch, really?

  106. Esteban says:

    CC should DH for Molina

  107. Will says:

    More like LESSlina. Hah.

  108. Riddering says:

Molina, the least you could do is sit there and make Lackey throw 3-4 pitches.

  109. Hey so start taking pitches?

    Start it up, Derek.

  110. Stadium Garlic Fries says:

Thanks for Playing Jose..now go get shower..Posada won’t be any worse than u..

  111. Tom Zig says:

How nice of Molina to swing at the first pitch.

  112. AJ says:

Why are they swinging at the first pitch? Take some pitches and work Lackey deep into counts. C’mon Molina, we all know you’re an easy out but don’t make it any easier for Lackey. You’re not a pitcher, for Christ sake!

  113. Jobamania says:

well, lackey has settled down. things looking gloomy

  114. Jim says:

If you’re starting molina based on the idea that burnett will pitch better, and burnett doesn’t pitch better, why is molina still in the game? Isn’t offense slightly important from here on out?

  115. Yanks21 says:

come on guys… get this fucking fucker!

  116. Doug says:

Of course, Izturis bobbles the ball and it bounces right in front of him.

  117. Drew says:

I’m still pissed at Douchin Culbreth for that call in the 1st inning

  118. Will says:

Ooh, I don’t agree with that.

  119. Mike Pop says:

John Lackey came to pitch! Oh noes!

  120. WORST UMPS EVER!!!!

  121. Yankee1010 says:

Honestly, what’s the harm in giving Molina at least 2 take signs? I’m not being sarcastic.

No way that beat Damon. No way. But why have replay?

  122. trueblue says:

    This is a gutless effort

  123. Fantastic call, blue. Fantastic.

  124. Charlie says:

i can’t wait till molina’s gone next year. he’s just a fat fuck who couldn’t hit a beach ball

  125. ansky says:

So the umps want a game 6 too!

  126. Dela G says:

    wow total bullshit out call

  127. Brian says:

Another horrible call. Hopefully the Yankees get the benefit of some calls as the game wears on to even it out.

  128. Stadium Garlic Fries says:

nice way to screws umps when down…

  129. Mike Axisa says:

We need to keep three scores this game.

    Yankees: 0
    Anges: 4
    Umpire Fuckups: 2

    • The Three Amigos says:

That Tex strikeout changed the entire inning and possibly the entire game. You never know what happens with Arod up and bases loaded.

  130. Doug says:

    That call was pure bullsquid.

  131. Jim says:

Are you serious? Are you fucking serious? What the hell is with the umpiring!?!

  132. AJ says:

So that’s bad call number two tonight.

  133. Drew says:

    Dude. I literally, hate umpires.

  134. danny says:

WOW this ump crew is just pathetic, its disgusting MLB should be ashamed.

  135. A.D. says:

    and safe.

  136. Mike Axisa says:

Oh noes the Angels are buying off the umps!

  137. Jim says:

Halos Heaven better stfu after this. Wow.

  138. Ivan says:

Like seriously, that wasn’t that difficult of a call ump.

  139. Yanks21 says:

    WHAT THE FUCK UMPS!!

STOP FUCKING SUCKING! SICK OF THIS ABSOLUTE CRAP

MY 3 yr old can do a better job than you morons!

  140. Hova says:

Holy fucking shit. Another missed call. Replace all these motherfuckers with robots already. Out of shape, fat, disgusting, stupid motherfuckers. Are they born blind? WTF is going on?

I’m jealous my kids someday will be able to see games perfectly called by artificial intelligence.

  141. Marcus says:

I love the human element. NO TO UMP ROBOTS!

    • JobaWockeeZ says:

It’s the only remaining human element!!!
WE MUST HAVE WRONGNESS 50 PERCENT OF THE TIME!!!!!

    • Yankee1010 says:

Is there really anybody left who is still in love with the “human element” of umps being incompetent? I love that argument. I think everyone should go back to black and white TVs, no spell-check, Model Ts, etc. Let’s forget about technology and evolution.

  142. bonestock94 says:

Oh jeez, who gave these guys acid again

  143. slappy white says:

WE WILL WIN THIS SERIES…ill just be pissed if they make us wait til Saturday cause I wanted to watch football all day….BUT WE WILL WIN THIS SERIES

  144. charlespoet says:

6 pitches in the 3rd , 9 pitches in the 2nd…..have to make him work boys, that is too few pitches.

  145. Klemy says:

I just…can’t put in to words how amazed I am at the calls in the playoffs. Fucking pathetic…

  146. Fat guy in a little coat…

  147. Mister Delaware says:

This game is giving me the opposite of an erection.

  148. Will says:

Haha, quick everyone read this before the moderator realizes what he let through:

    http://bats.blogs.nytimes.com/.....ent-176925

  149. ansky says:

    where was that pitch????

  150. So that pitch missed where? It was the same height as strike three to Melky, but more over the plate.

  151. hutch says:

Face it, FOX paid to get a game 6 because they’re ratings desperate, so every call will go against the Yanks.

  152. Jackson says:

The Yankees always score after I start drinking. I’m taking this party to the bar after this inning. You’re welcome in advance.

  153. Mike Pop says:

I know Burnett had a bad first inning, but I can’t help but love the dude anyway ;)

  154. JobaWockeeZ says:

I wonder what the umps think when they see their wrong.
    It must go like.
    “I HAVE A JOB I DUN CARE!!!!!”

  155. Mister Delaware says:

By the by, I wouldn’t mind seeing Burnett tell Vlad “you watched your Game 3 HR a bit too long”.

  156. ShuutoHeat says:

    AJ is settling down.

  157. baravelli says:

I really hate all those newfangled radar and navigation systems they use to fly airplanes now. Sure, they may be more accurate and whatever, but they really take the human element out of being a pilot. Remember the romantic old days where pilots wore white scarfs and leather jackets? That’s the way things should always be forever.

  158. mustang says:

How come I still feel ok with this even if they lose tonight?

Because they are going to have take two in a MAD HOUSE IN THE BRONX

  159. Camilo Gerardo - your inception? fuck perception, go with what makes sense says:

does anybody notice how posada doesn’t frame some close pitches?

do you think they tweak with burnett in the offseason?

  160. Mike Pop says:

    Only a 12% win expectancy.

  161. The absolute worst thing to come from a Yankee loss tonight is the inevitability of having to sift through articles and commentary containing “2004 ALCS” until motherfucking first pitch for game 6.

  162. BigBlueAL says:

So how about that hottie Steve Phillips was having an affair with!!!!

  163. Yankee1010 says:

The delays are the issue? Really? So managers coming out to argue doesn’t delay it at all? That reasoning slays me.

  164. Drew says:

Bud Selig: Steroids: good. Accurate calls : bad.

  165. JobaWockeeZ says:

So basically everyone EXCEPT Bud Selig wants more god damn replay?

  166. Jobamania says:

Check out jeter’s cat like reflexes on torii’s groundball “up the middle”

    http://www.sawauto.com/uploade.....flexes.gif

    • Jobamania says:

need to copy and paste this into the browser www .sawauto.com/uploader/up/cat%20like%20reflexes.gif

  167. thisbudsforyou says:

This is good thinking. AJ should keep throwing to first until Vlad swings.

If you were joking, I apologize. It was not very clearly a joke. Read your comment again and you can see how it can be easily interpreted as being said in earnest.

hmmm, I guess. But whatever, I picked the Yankees in 6 so I am not worried. But if they are going to lose at least put of a fight and not get fucked like they did to the Angles Tuesday night.

  169. nathan says:

I think MLB should start banning the freeze cams

whats the point really, the calls aint coming back, increase heartache/headache for us?

  170. Mister Delaware says:

Culbreth watches the SB and not the pitch. Wonderful.

  171. nz says:

    wtf Burnett? talk about oblivious

  172. Mike Pop says:

    Screw you, Tori.

  173. And how was that pitch a ball?

  174. Jim says:

The sb was pathetic. BUT WHERE was that pitch?!

  175. Jackson says:

    Well thats embarrassing

  176. Jake H says:

I see we are down 4-0. I now have my Yankee stuff on so we will start to come back.

  177. Marcus says:

I personally would be the strike zone *in* the conversation. I know it will never happen, but the technology seems to be there to call balls and strikes without an ump. Why do we need umps to show boat and get it wrong?

  178. Esteban says:

    that was a ball?

  179. RISP says:

wow this is getting worse! god damn aj why? why are you so erratic?

  180. Jackson says:

I heard Teixeira yelling step off and I’m 3,000 miles away, how did AJ miss that?

    • Jim says:

Because we have microphones. Now, if your TV/radio was off and you STILL heard it, you’d have a story.

  181. Stadium Garlic Fries says:

    what was that SB about?

  182. Re: replay: everything but balls and strikes, but develop a computer system to call them.

  183. JGS says:

    why isn’t posada in there?

  184. Tony says:

    NO MORE MOLINA

  185. ansky says:

    For the love of Mo!

  186. BigBlueAL says:

    Posada wouldve blocked that.

  187. Mister Delaware says:

    I am Dave’s raging anger.

  188. RISP says:

enough of molina behind the plate. he makes no difference for aj

  189. Brazilian Yankee says:

Heckuva job by AJ and Molina. What a duo.

  190. Camilo Gerardo - your inception? fuck perception, go with what makes sense says:

    ..passed ball!

  191. Molina’s just asking for these overreacting fans to shit on him if he can’t block AJ’s wildness.

    • Riddering says:

Molina sheds a single tear for the opinion of overreacting fans.

    • Tony says:

No, TSJC, no. He’s in there because he’s the AJ whisperer. He adds absolutely nothing else. Now that the asinine idea that AJ’s erratic nature is somehow related to the person behind the plate has been exposed, he needs to get the Mitre out of here with this starting playoff games Mitre.

  192. Stadium Garlic Fries says:

I am sure Posada could have kicked that ball equal distance.

  193. I know they got the out….but that was a shitty rundown.

  194. Doug says:

Perfectly executed rundown fundamentals blah blah blah

  195. charlespoet says:

Bad call on 3rd…. Does Diaz know he is suppose to fuck up the call and call him safe.

  196. Drew says:

Wow. AJ was a little nonchalant with that throw.

  197. Mister Delaware says:

    That was waaay to close.

  198. Jackson says:

Thanks Torii, you tried to run yourself into an out earlier, thanks let the Yankees make up for that mistake.

  199. Dela G says:

    i love molina’s defense tonight

  200. Marcus says:

WOW, love how Molina got up on that play. That guy is nearly immobile, haha.

  201. AJ says:

Wow. Well when we get to the World Series Burnett will have a chance to redeem himself. This is a forgettable start.

    • AJ says:

Not saying the Yanks won’t win tonight. But AJ just hasn’t been stellar so far, and I think this is going to be a pedestrian start at best.

    • Jackson says:

It’s not going to seem that forgettable when he finishes with 4 earned in 6 2/3

  202. Ivan says:

McCarver needs to go to a nursing home plz.

  203. Brian says:

I think its time for Chad Gudian… Burnett is stinking up the state of California tonight

  204. Yankee1010 says:

AJ almost got Jeter spiked there.

    I’ll admit, it’s funny watching Molina in a “run”down. It’s more like a waddledown.

  205. ShuutoHeat says:

Why is Vlad all excited getting to 2nd? You get no credit, Hunter dragged out that play.

AJ needs to get his head into the game, it seems like he’s zoned out.

  206. Also, why was Hunter running? Did he not see the IF come in?

  207. Camilo Gerardo - your inception? fuck perception, go with what makes sense says:

in defense of molina, AJ has hit like 8% of his spots

  208. Wow…I agree with Buck. There is no reason for the umpires to leave the field during replay.

  209. Salty Buggah says:

So, Molina’s pitching horribly today and is catching bad too.

These Angels fans are not smart. They got excited for a routine fly ball that didn’t even reach the fuckin warning track.

  210. Doug says:

AJ bends but doesn’t break. Good signs.

  211. AROSEN15 says:

meanwhile, he has settled down to a degree.
    lets get some hits

  212. Mike bk says:

this thread was better than the first time for a new one for even better luck?

  213. Ivan says:

Iiight, the yanks have 6 innings left to do make up 4 runs. Hard yes, improbable no way.

  214. Arman Tamzarian says:

I was listening to the game on the radio when Cano turned the DP. Morgan stated that he was the best second basemen at turning the DP, to which Miller asked about Pedroia. Morgan reiterated that Cano is better

    • Mister Delaware says:

“But Davey Concepcion would have been better if he were a 2B. Same with Tony Perez.”

  215. nathan says:

Well.. slowly the sting of that first inning is wearing off me

I only hope our guys start taking some pitches now…. make Lackey work… come on guys.. lets pull a Phillies

would be so cool if we can come back from this on the road.. statement really…

  216. AJ says:

Every single ball, whether a hit or an out, has been hit right on the screws. It’s scary how many good swings the Angels are getting on AJ.

The Yanks need to work Lackey this inning. He threw 21 pitches in that first inning and should be pushed to meet that with the heart of the order coming up. Let’s not have zeros through four. Put up at least one run here.

  217. putt says:

Haha, anybody see Melky fake a throw into the stands after the 3rd out? That kinda stuff cracks me up.

  218. hutch says:

    still 4-0

one bad inning for AJ aside, if he can keep it there and we can ding the plate, we will win this late. And the umps won’t be a factor.

  219. Riddering says:

Keep the scoreless innings coming, A.J. You got this.

  220. Sam P. says:

Let’s see a run here and there, just to say “hey, we know we’re not out of this game, bulldog.”

  221. TEEJ says:

Angels may have scored their runs too early. I don’t see the Yanks not brining the tying runs to the plate before it’s over.
