The baserunning in that inning was bizarre
The last two innings.
Cano and the umps were smoking up in between the innings.
Posada shoulda scored on cano’s double though… especially after getting a stolen base

Not certain of the rule, but isn’t it possible to get both runners out if they’re both on the bag? If Posada stops on the bag when he comes back, then they can only tag out Cano. I assume (ok, hope) that’s what Cano was thinking.

Posada isn’t thinking for not scoring on that ball hit by Cano.. Even if he thought the ball was going to get caught you should still be a little bit off the bag. And Cano just cleary isn’t thinking he’s standing right off third base when a guy with a ball is right next to him. I’m pretty sure in little league you’re told to make sure you’re on a base, guess he missed that lesson.
Wrong, as soon as Cano touches third Posada is no longer entitle to that base, so he has to wait for Posada to get tagged out before touching third. That was all Posadas fault.
I’m so glad this team is up 2-1 in the series and 5-0 in the game, or I’d be incanfuckingdescent about that play. Wowowowowowow.

Yeah bad inning on the basepaths. Posada should have not even been on third should have scored on cano’s double.
The umpiring is totally ruining this series and that’s the sad part.
I guarantee there will be a more advanced replay system in baseball within the next 2-3 years. Similar to the NFL with set number of challenges. And the only people to blame will be the umpires.

You know who else doesn’t quit? The Yankees. They have 15 walkoff wins this year, they’re winning 5-1 with their ace on the mound, and he’s thrown 55 pitches in 4.1 innings.

yah. a changeup is only as good as the fastball it’s offset by and the control with which its thrown, both of which are terrific in CC’s case, plus it has sick movement.
And arm action. If you can spot both your FB and change, and throw both with the same arm action, you can do pretty well even with mediocre velo. Look at Edwar; in games when he could spot the FB, he wrecked guys. When he couldn’t, they just never swung until he threw a meatball.
As someone else said above, Morales was going to do something eventually. He’s a solid hitter. We’re lucky it was a solo shot. And, not for nothing, but that is not an easy pitch to hit, especially for a homer.
