I actually would agree with you on that one. I want my best pitcher to pitch a pivotal game 4 because CC on short rest is far superior to any other option we have at the moment. Only if we are fortunate enough to have a 3-0 lead in ALCS or WS, do we not pitch the big guy in that situation.

Plus, let us not forget, who would you rather have in a game 7 - CC or Andy? Once again, I would take Carsten Charles on normal rest after that short rested game 4 appearence.

When Jaret Wright starts a deciding game you know you're in big trouble. The team wasnt that good because its all about SP.

Thanks a lot, Chris. Only the Dodgers, at 714, have a better rating than the Yanks (at 697).

Defensive Efficiency

Def Eff, or Defensive Efficiency, is the rate at which balls put into play are converted into outs by a team's defense. Def Eff can be approximated with (1 - BABIP), if all you have is BABIP, but a team's actual Def Eff is computed with

1 - ((H + ROE - HR) / (PA - BB - SO - HBP - HR))

Greinke was good but Greinke had half the k's Bruney had in 6 more innings of work. Therefore, Brian Bruney is a better pitcher than Zach Greinke.

Cy Young 2010!
