It’s not like anyone buys AL championship gear anyway

If you want that hat, it’s available at the MLB.com shop. Why they’re making it available before the series is over, I have no idea. Then again, I don’t know anyone who would buy an AL Champions hat. But, if you want it, there it is.

even if you are a Yankee fan, winning the AL Pennant is something to be proud of and to celebrate.

Yesterday, the 2009 Angels became only the 2nd Angels team to surpass the 101 victory hurdle.
Except that THIS VERY YANKEES TEAM they are playing won more games than that in the regular season.
It’s really sad when you are celebrating going over 100 wins and using that as an example of your “greatness” when the team that has to “dust off some old history book” for their greatest moments already beat you to that win total before the regular season was over.

As I said before and I will say it again, this Angel team isn’t as good as that Sox team in 04 and this current Yankee team is much better than the 04 Yankee team.

And just for the record, they’ve called every game correctly this series.

This is the best weather at the Stadium the whole series. They would have to rip the tickets from my cold dead hands for me not to go tonight.
Think a chance to watch the Yankees clinch their first AL Pennant at the New Stadium. That’s something to tell your grandchildren about.
There are only 489 total tickets left on Stubhub for tonight. Only 35 tickets in Legends Suites for sale. I would take that as a sign that attendence will be pretty healthy tonight.

Speaking of jinxes, in Arizona, during the Cowboys game, they aired a commercial saying of the local sports guy, Jude LaCava, saying “World Series set. Preview Yankees/Phillies Game 1, Wednesday”.
Now, I’m no Sherlock Holmes, but I think they probably have these taped beforehand, then air the appropriate one after the game.
However, these are not supposed to be shown before the game and I’m wondering if it was an honest mistake or some smartass trying to put the voodoo on the yanks.
