They’re waiting for the end of National Hispanic Heritage Month. It’s September 15th to October 15th.
It’s like Ramadan, you have to fast and not release roster information for a month.

i don’t think curtis has much power or general hitting ability. maybe, though
Probably not a good enough bat. His 2009 minor league line of .247/.316/.353 has a major league equivalency of .210/.265/.293. That’s Varitekian.
He can improve, but his baseline thus far doesn’t inspire confidence in that improvement happening. He hasn’t remotely shown enough yet to be considered a viable big league 4th OF for 2010.
But, since you describe him as “Veritekian,” I assume he’ll still catch 4 no-hitters and wear a wicked awesome “C” on his chest. Right?
Let’s move him behind the dish and have him grow a gritbeard.
