I don't think the Yanks overworked him or took it easy on him. I think 230 innings is a perfect amount for CC and what an Ace should pitch. He was sixth in all of baseball in innings pitched. The leader only pitched 10 more innings than him. If that is taking it easy, I don't know what you would consider a "normal" year. And what would over working him be, like 280 innings? If you are sixth in all of baseball in innings pitched, I don't see how that can be considered taking it easy. We are basically arguing over our definition of what “taking it easy” means.
