That is to say, inconsistent, but flashing enough dominance to really prove to me that he is capable of being a front end starter. I think joba next year will be more consistent than this year, but will still have up and down stretches. Just his down stretches will be shorter, his up stretches longer, and he won't hit the wall he hit last year. As for IPK, I really think he can be a quality major league starter, I just don't see any place for him on this team now or in the future. I think the best thing for him would be to have to struggle through major league lineups for a couple years, but the yankees just can't afford to do that with him.
