I'd love zeros across the board through 7 in a classic pitcher's duel, and Yanks by a couple of late inning runs but short rest will cost Petite and tenacious ABs by both teams will cost both opposing starting pitchers. Petite: 4+ maybe 5 IP, 3R
Martinez: 5+ IP, 4R

Neither pitcher factors in decision (i.e., late inn runs). Win for Yanks, assuming these predictions hold and given home field advantage.

And I live in Philly, which adds to the stress. Bottom line, I expected to come home to the Bronx up 3-2. We are right where I thought we would be. I know how it feels though, I have the same problem (mainly just following a tough loss) but I have seen this team respond all year long, and I have no doubt they will show up tomorrow. Just think, we have three wins and neither Cano or Teixera have hit. Add to that that A-Rod didn't really start going till game 3. We're in good position. In order to make myself feel a little better I thought back to what Mike Scioscia said about how few games the teams have played in the month of October. Since October 3 last day of the regular season), Pettitte has thrown 25.0 innings over 4 starts, which have come on 7 days rest, 7 days rest, 5 days rest and 5 days rest. in that span he's thrown 379 pitches. compare that to 6 starts in August where Pettitte threw 39.2 innings, and 638 pitches, going 4.0 with a 2.50 ERA and 39 K's. Obviously there's more to this than the basic numbers here and the SSS issue, but in any event it made me feel better to see these numbers, so I figured I'd share them for anyone else who has fallen into the 3 days rest doubter camp, which I was on the fence about for a few minutes.
