JackC says:

Let’s add a run or two, shall we?

Ghost of Scott Brosius says:
Evil Empire says:
Ghost of Scott Brosius says:

Or 20? Nah, this is crazy.

More runs please.

southernyankeefan says:

I hope we get the same zone as the phillies got that inning.

Justin says:

I rely on you all for my updates, as I’m currently teaching class.

(I’m not that bad a teacher, they’re testing.)

2-1 after one?

Joe D. says:

Correct. And both benches have been warned after Blanton plunked A-Rod high on his shoulder/back in the first.

Here

http://espn.go.com/mlb/boxscor.....a-phillies

Refreshes automatically every 30 seconds.

Justin says:

My school blocks sports sites. But not forums!

D M says:

Who has a class on Sunday at 9pm?

Joker, The says:

This game is making me have to go to the bathroom a lot…already, lol

JMK aka The Overshare says:

Gotta figure a small zone (if it’s consistent—guarantee of that) is a huge advantage to us.

JMK aka The Overshare says:

*no guarantee of that

Girardi out to the mound says:

Agreed. If Blanton gets the same small zone as ZZ he may not last 3 innings.

Esteban says:

I’m not worried at all

I don’t know about anyone else, but I like all these trips to the mound. Make sure you get things right, don’t be kicking yourself later because you wanted to say something and didn’t.

Some people don’t like it, slows down the game, blah blah blah. I like it, shows a culture of paying attention to detail from top to bottom.

Jay says:

If I ever get a terminal disease, I am going to get with the Make A Wish Foundation and have my request be the chance to beat the snot out of Joe Buck wearing a Yankees uniform.

Hey Philly, We Ain't the Rays says:

This may be premature, but Ryan Howard is my series MVP.

Jose says:

Mine is Edinson Volquez.

Where would we be w/o him?

He’s making A-Rod 05-07 post seasons look like Reggie Jackson.

Dave G says:

C’mon Yanks. More good stuff against Blanton.

NatalMike says:

This series is over tomorrow. Just hope Burnett drills somebody good.

And watching him get thrown out for absolutely no reason.

This series is over tomorrow. Just hope Burnett Phil Coke drills somebody good.

Accent Shallow says:

Brazilian Yankee says:

Now the strikezone is back to huge mode.

Souter Fell says:

JackHammer says:

if there’s a guy on second and an open base, would you int walk utley to face howard?

southernyankeefan says:

CC did not get that call blanton got.

JMK aka The Overshare says:

This is the WS and they’re busy talking about football? Who give a shit?!

ShuutoHeat says:

Hey Buck, talk about fucking baseball you fucking asspirate.

baka nakamura says:

lets get that run back and then some boys.

Hugh Jassman says:

I want to see CC hit one out.

southernyankeefan says:

BULLSHIT be consistent asshole.

Brazilian Yankee says:

What the fuck? THat was the same location he refused to give CC a strike….

Oh I forgot CC and Blanton don’t ge tthe same zone. how silly of me to think there’s fairness.

PsiFighter37 says:

WTF is with the ump’s zone? Giving Blanton calls that he wasn’t giving Sabathia…

Souter Fell says:

way to make yourself part of the game ump, showboat shitty calls

ShuutoHeat says:

Hey why don’t you guys bring up fucking Fox trax? Oh right, it’s the Yankees hitting…

Duh they can’t acknowledge the umpires are wrong if they don’t favor the Yankees.

JackC says:

Seriously, what the hell is that on Blanton’s cap — which, btw, he keeps touching?

Joe D. says:

The Yankees want runs, and
Blanton is not Cliff Lee.

Only on FOX can you get cutting-edge analysis like this folks.

JMK aka The Overshare says:

This analysis brought to you by Avatar.

Who could imagine that the Yankees want to score runs and that Joe Blanton is not Cliff Lee.

Not me that’s for sure.
(rolls eyes)

MikeD says:

He looks even bigger as a hitter.

Joker, The says:

Unreal. Why is every ump seemingly hell-bent on fucking over the Yankees?

Salty Buggah says:

bobtaco says:

Seems like MLB maybe trying to dictate a Game 6 or 7…

Esteban says:

No conspiracies, this is not HalosHeaven

JMK aka The Overshare says:

Let’s not get into conspiracy theories just yet.

Hey Philly, Yankees ain't the Rays says:

It’s kinda odd how, wherever we go and kick ass, they shut down old buildings immediately thereafter.

Hall and Nokes says:

Nice swings! CC’s going for it, and why not.

MikeD says:

He sure doesn’t swing like a pitcher. There’s intent.

AJ says:

So I’m thinking CC can go yard this game….just not that at-bat.

Salty Buggah says:

Oh my fuckin god, this ump fuckin sucks. CC better get those calls too!

southernyankeefan says:

I am really not liking this umpire.

CC must be thinking why the fuck he doesn’t have the same zone.

Wow, that zone just got larger.

Brazilian Yankee says:

Bullshit call number 5 or 6 and we haven’t even finished 2 innings.

PsiFighter37 says:

Home plate ump is a Phillies ringer. We’re going to have to win this game despite his shittiness.

Mike Nitabach says:

Still watching in Japan. After every Yankee at bat, the Japanese producer is cutting to a view of Matsui in the dugout to show his reaction.

Haha, that’s funny.

MikeD says:

…which is pretty pointless, since Matsui is not outwardly emotional. I mean, he’s the opposite of Nick Swisher.

ShuutoHeat says:

Matsui is a rock.

Riddering says:

There must be an unwritten rule about NOT keeping the camera on Swisher for too long in any game.

JMK aka The Overshare says:

Could you imagine how HUGE Swisher would be in Japan? He’d be vending-machine huge.

Accent Shallow says:

I imagine games in NL parks are hell on those guys, since Matsui is getting one at-bat.

Mike Nitabach says:

As long as it’s a homer!

Hall and Nokes says:

If CC avoids getting tossed in this game, he’s a better man than I.

charlespoet says:

Ok, just catching up… Someone explain the hitting of ARod and whether it was intentional. THat is 3 times in 2 game and I think we need to retaliate.

JGS says:

nope–both benches were warned (before CC had thrown a pitch) so if you retaliate, you lose CC

charlespoet says:

fucking bullshit. Hate when umpires pull that crap. At least let the other team do their business.

But hopefully the last pitch CC throws will be at some hitters rib cage.

Most likely intentional since you know it’s been the third time. But both benches get warned after that making no sense at all.

Brazilian Yankee says:

No we don’t. If we do CC gets tossed.

JMK aka The Overshare says:

This zone is outrageous.

PsiFighter37 says:

F*ck this ump. He would’ve given Blanton a strike on that.

Jose says:

We will win anyways. Nothing can stop this team.

Many umps have tried and all of them failed.

DontChaknow says:

This ump is bullshit with his calls when CC is pitching

Riddering says:

Oh, shit. There’s going to be rioting in RAB tonight over the zone.

Jose says:

“Whenever there’s a potential riot, I’m getting blasted on grain alcohol.”

Pedro Feliz – FO to RF 1 out

e mills says:

if they don’t warn the pitchers before the game tomorrow, AJ should head hunt Lee.

ShuutoHeat says:

You know I try my best to not sound like the crazy folks at HalosHeaven and all. But this fucking strike zone is fucking retarded. These fucking asshat umps need to pay for this shiet.

bobtaco says:

Yes, I was not trying to sound conspiratorial earlier, but there does seem to be a discrepancy in the zones called for each team.

swisher's fauxhawk says:

Gee, there goes the ump’s strike zone again.

slappy white says:

CC doesnt look sharp at all

Accent Shallow says:

Where the hell are these pitches missing?

AJ says:

CC is getting squeezed! The calls have to go both ways ump!

TJ says:

This zone is insanity

Joe D. says:

Time for Posada to “accidently” miss a pitch, a la last night?
I kid, I kid.

Joe D. does not condone player-on-umpire violence…
…unless it gets results!

E-ROC says:

WTF is this ump doing?

ShuutoHeat says:

He’s looking to get marked for death.

southernyankeefan says:

This is the most lopsided strike zone i have ever seen.

Heh now the Phillies think the zone is non existant. Can’t blame them.

JoeFromBayRidge says:

Carry over from last night – why does Posada seem to be catching the ball awkwardly/failing to catch it (on the 3rd ball in this at bat)

Salty Buggah says:

That’s right. Sit down Chooch!

ShuutoHeat says:

SO NOW THEY SHOW THE FOX TRAX?! Yeah that’s right FOX, you’re anti-Yankees.

Ghost of Scott Brosius says:

OMG when will they shut up with the yankee negativity

D M says:

The zone is tight

Pasqua says:

Not so much tight as all over the fucking map.

Pasqua says:

He’s so FUCKING uncomfortable that he just worked his way back from 3-0 to induce a groundball out! Damn, that’s uncomfortable!

EDUB says:

I think he looks plenty comfortable and would be cruising if he got half the calls blanton is getting on the outside corner or a few that have gone right down the middle

Accent Shallow says:

Yeah. Ball 3 to Ruiz was well in the zone, Posada just missed it.

Vinny the Bull says:

Right, but just like you don’t have to be tagged with the ball to be out, the ball can be in the strike zone but not be a strike. Didn’t you know?

Ruiz – Groundout to SS 2 outs

Blanton – K to end the inning

I hate Blanton with a passion now. Just something about him.

Nice rebound inning, CC.

Salty Buggah says:

Of course, CC look uncomfortable, he’s getting squeezed like a bitch.

Quick inning gets the pitch count to a more manageable level.

DontChaknow says:

Alright boys lets start pounding them

Ghost of Scott Brosius says:

Damn. Wish CC would start looking more comfortable. Outs are fine but i prefer comfort.

I greatly prefer outs.

JackHammer says:

i think he was being sarcastic

Ghost of Scott Brosius says:

You picked up on my sarcasm right….

Justin says:

I found the entire exchange funny.

JMK aka The Overshare says:

The two are generally related, but outs should be more preferred.

JackHammer says:

can’t agree more!

Ghost of Scott Brosius says:

Was being sarcastic, reference to buck and mccarver. I am not that stupid, at least i hope not

Evil Empire says:

Big man is settled. Time to crush Joe Blanton’s self esteem.

e mills says:

bring on the robots since the umps can’t be nonpartisan

Well it’s the top of the order second time through. Big inning here.

MikeD says:

I think I need Prestig right now since I’m depressed over the ump’s strike zone.

ShuutoHeat says:

Dude, you should be pissed not depressed.

Salty Buggah says:

Besides that Utley double, CC’s been pretty good. Only thing that hurt was that blooper by Losserino.

ShuutoHeat says:

I don’t know about you guys, but do we really need another doomsday/end of the war kind of movie?

I wouldn’t mind a good one.

Joker, The says:

That movie looks like shit, IMO.

Jose says:

Do we really need more Saw movies? No. As long as they keep turning profits, they will keep coming.

Evil Empire says:

Yes. What else am I going to pass out to at 3:00 AM 12 months from now when its on Starz?

Joe D. says:

Hell yeah. How else are we supposed to be prepared when the real thing arrives?

Jose says:

I had all the rules from Zombieland tattooed to myself just in case…

ShuutoHeat says:

JMK aka The Overshare says:

So they followup a declining show (Family Guy) with a terrible show (Cleveland Show) and then a Seth MacFarland special? Is there at least an Avatar mix along with it?

JMK aka The Overshare says:

Nice play by Feliz.

Brazilian Yankee says:

ShuutoHeat says:

There goes Buck and McCarver stroking the Phillies again…

Accent Shallow says:

Man, Happy Pete sure can pick it.

Camilo Gerardo - your inception? fuck perception, go with what makes sense says:

does he have happy feet?

Riddering says:

Buck and McCarver are keeping footage of that Feliz play for later tonight.

Ghost of Scott Brosius says:
Joe D. says:

When you wanna show the passage of time real fast you need a…

Mon-tage!!

JackHammer says:

mccarver seems to really pride himself on being able to predict performance. when mariano started an inning with a walk, he was like “there’s something wrong with Mariano” Three outs later on 11 pitches, not so much. same thing here. CC goes 3-1, and he’s like, something’s wrong with CC.

charlespoet says:

OMG an Philly did something stop the presses!

I fucking hate everything about Faux News, Faux Sports, Faux Network. Low life hacks with ZERO ability.

alittleblackegg says:

If they didn’t pay grown men money to talk about Pearl Jam over baseball games, who would?

PsiFighter37 says:

They need to take more pitches. They’re not getting good enough hacks on these ones to justify swinging so early right now…

Camilo Gerardo - your inception? fuck perception, go with what makes sense says:

swisher's fauxhawk says:

No one cares about your Pearl Jam fixation, Joe.

baka nakamura says:

mccarver digs pearl jam.

JMK aka The Overshare says:

STFU about Pearl Jam. This is the freakin’ World Series!

Accent Shallow says:

So I guess we’re watching this to get Joe Buck’s opinions on music, Philadelphia, and NFL updates?

Brazilian Yankee says:

Why is Tex taking those pitches down the middle?

Jay says:

Cmon Tex! Swing the frigging bat!

Arman Tamzarian says:

Joe Posnanski’s live blogging the game, Posnanski is what I imagine Pete Abe could be, if he didn’t focus on using the same joke’s over and over, and matured a bit

http://sportsillustrated.cnn.c.....?eref=sihp

Evil Empire says:

Pete Abe will never be as gifted with his prose as Posnanski is.

Salty Buggah says:

Check out CC’s 3rd pitch to Blanton:

http://brooksbaseball.net/pfx/.....v_size=500

That’s embarrasing

Salty Buggah says:

Not blanton, ruiz. whoops

ansky says:

That strike 2 pitch is a ball when CC throws it.

Brazilian Yankee says:

That was low AND inside.

southernyankeefan says:

CC better start getting tyhese fucking calls.

PsiFighter37 says:

Fuck Mike Everett. Just fuck him.

Accent Shallow says:

Ump is certainly willing to show himself off.

Riddering says:

That was not a good inning.

bobtaco says:

Make up call? Jesus.

E-ROC says:

This umpire needs to call that pitch a strike both ways.

DontChaknow says:

I hate this ump, how much lower could that ball have been?

Will says:

isn’t baseball supposed to send their best umps to the world series?

Jay says:

Don’t bitch Tex. You let a 2-0 meatball go right down the middle and then a weak change. I’m getting tired of A-Rod having to lead off innings.

cjc says:

note to the lineup he is getting the call down and in

Fuck this ump and fuck you Joe Buck for ONLY showing controversial plays against the Phillies.

Where the hell are you Kay. It’s a crime against humanity for a Yankee fan to hear this trash for more than 1 game.

Can’t figure out this strike zone for the life of me.

AJ says:

That strike three to Tex was the same pitch to Ryan Howard that was called a ball. It’s gotta go both ways ump.

But the Yanks need to get the bats talking. They were on Blanton in that first inning and since then he’s quieted them nicely. Time to put the heat back on him.

Stadium Garlic Fries says:

I know we have 2 runs but 32 pitches thru 3 is way too low of a pitch count for Blanton

JackHammer says:

I was thinking the same thing, but he’s no better than their relievers.

JackHammer says:

Instant poll. Who do you hate more?

1. Red Sox
2. Phillies
3. MLB umps
4. Buck and McCarver

2, 3 and 4 are tied.

Sweet Dick Willie says:

Heh, I don’t hate the Sox as of this moment. But it’s close.

charlespoet says:

Buck McCarver
MLB Umps
Red Sox
Any sportscaster/ex baseball player at ESPN who works with Karl Ravich on Baseball Tonight.

JMK aka The Overshare says:

Don says:

In order…

1) Sox
2) B & M
3) Umps
4) Phills

alittleblackegg says:

Hey Philly, Yankees ain't the Rays says:

Umps at the moment. And It’s not close.

count crapulent says BOO to you sir says:

The Sox are not pissing me off tonight. All the others are.

Rey22 says:

Can I vote all 4 at the same time? Please?

slappy white says:

What the FUCK is wrong with Texeira ? SWING THE FUCKING BAT

Pasqua says:

What do you recommend he do with that last pitch?

slappy white says:

hes gotta swing at it with 2 strikes….they should see the asshat is calling it

Jay says:

I agree. Bitching about the strike zone on that called third strike doesn’t mean anything when he let strikes 1 and 2 go by that he should have hit hard.

charlespoet says:

WOW…. what is the fucking point to have a strike zone defined in baseball? Furthermore, why is that each worthless umpire is allowed to change the zone from inning to inning?

Umpires are killing this sport, well under the additional yet separate guidance of Bud.

Don’t worry, as long as the human element is still there!
This game needs umpires. After all i can’t wait to watch the game on my favorite umpires continually to fuck up calls royally. That’s where the fun is in baseball.

charlespoet says:

What is the Vegas line on the number of errors made by an umpire per game? THat would be some fun betting.

I’d bet my life savings on at least 100 if you include balls and strikes.

Ghost of Scott Brosius says:

Tex has to get the bat off his shoulders there, strike or not, that’s too close. He’s clearly not confident.

southernyankeefan says:

Its like there is a gap in the zone that won’t get called a strike but go a little lower and it magically becomes a strike.

Pasqua says:

Regardless of who the ump’s strikezone is favoring, the mere fact that they are becoming part of the narrative of the game EVERY SINGLE NIGHT is enough to show you how awful they’ve been and what a joke this has become.

dalelama says:

I am getting a bad feeling in my stomach on this one…this guy is throwing lolly pops and Swish and Tex just let themselves get called out on strikes…I think Tex is scared too swing

It’s called a BS strike zone.

Pasqua says:

“Scared” to swing? Please see the first inning.

JSquared says:

Why do we not get those calls? everytime it looks like a ball called a strike they’re afriad to show it on the pitch trax or whatever FOX calls it… it’s getting ridiculous.

southernyankeefan says:

Open gameday up. They had the last pitch to tex as a strike but the one called a ball it showed as a strike.

JSquared says:

Gameday is always off.

NatalMike says:

Get a big lead, then drill somebody, get thrown out, who cares? I want revenge. A Rod gets nailed 3 times. There has to be a response.

JSquared says:

Yeah, winning the World Series.

Pasqua says:

Pasqua says:

Good thing you’re not a) pitching; or b) managing this game.

slappy white says:

Bottom line thogh Tex cant watch pitches that close with 2 strikes

JSquared says:
slappy white says:

not when they call it a strike

Riddering says:

I love how Blanton gets the most forgiving strike zone even though he is responsible for the HBP.

Brazilian Yankee says:

I thought Tex should have swung at the 2-0 fasball. That was down the middle. The 3-2 pitch was low and inside, no fault there.

ansky says:

Looks like another handicap match where the Yanks are going to have to beat the Phils and the home plate ump.

Joe D. says:

(Song Time)

Where is strike zone? Where is strike zone?

Here I am! Here I am!

Who is pitching right now?

I’m pretty sure it’s CC.

Run away, run away.

Joker, The says:

Pasqua says:

I like it. It’s got a catchy beat, and you can dance to it.

ShuutoHeat says:

Hey Rollins, sit your ass down.

Accent Shallow says:

Ah, Rollins. Outmaker.

Souter Fell says:

it’s ass umps like this that make me consider reversing my stance on video in baseball

PsiFighter37 says:

I’d go with robots for home plate umpiring.

Riddering says:

LMAO.

Now the home plate ump is liberal?

JackHammer says:

with pitch trax, everyone knows where exactly the pitch landed. It’s essentially impossible to use your eyes to determine the exact location of a pitch moving at that speed. I would be in favor of a machine taking over the balls and strikes.

Salty Buggah says:

That was a fuckin strike. Just because he didnt get that call before doesnt mean its a ball!

Accent Shallow says:

Gotta throw strikes, CC.

southernyankeefan says:

I really don’t think McCarver even looks at the FoxTrax.

ShuutoHeat says:

He only looks at it when it’s in favor of the Yankees.

Because all those calls are being paid by the Yankees obviously.

Hall and Nokes says:

It seems as if he is consciously ignoring it.

ShuutoHeat says:

Wait what? You don’t like that call Rob Schneider Victorino? That’s only half of the shiet we’re getting, you dumb fucking ass clown.

cjc says:

this ump is just all over the place

swisher's fauxhawk says:

Nothing down the plate…..nothing down the plate….

Awesomeness says:

is anyones fox feed constantly cutting out?

charlespoet says:

it is just audio, consider yourself lucky.

Accent Shallow says:

Let’s see if CC can manage to retire Utley, or at least keep him in the yard.

baka nakamura says:

glad marks glove is there.

Get ahead of Utley. It will make a big difference.

charlespoet says:

Where are the PROPS for Tex on that one, you ass munch McCarver and Buck (who is really a disgrace to what his father did)

Joe D. says:

Cue: Pitch tracker showing a slam-dunk CC strike.

McCarver, at the same time: The ump “has been very liberal up and down”

Salty Buggah says:

Cmon CC. Fastball control –> Utley out

Dave G says:

Tex’s defense helps me sleep at night.

DontChaknow says:

Stupid warning Utley would be the best guy to bean right now

I’d hit Blanton for hitting A-Rod.

PsiFighter37 says:

Goddammit, that was a strike.

Accent Shallow says:

Ball one looked more like a strike than strike one.

EB says:

Utley really crowds the plate

EDUB says:

nothing hard to utley please

southernyankeefan says:

Good inning from CC.

baka nakamura says:

Accent Shallow says:

Utley makes outs! I like this world!

charlespoet says:

CC is settling… Yankees get 2 this inning.

MikeD says:

…while we’re in a commecial break, what are the chances that the Yankees send Hughes for some work in the Puerto Rican League, which starts in mid-November, to build up his innings? I think he pitched there last year and I remember Cashman suggesting it was a possibility when Hughes first went to the pen.

Accent Shallow says:

I don’t think so, I think his command is off due to fatigue. If they want him to start next year, they need to get him some rest.

Salty Buggah says:

See that. Make your pitch and Utley’s toast.

Cmon A-Rod!

PsiFighter37 says:

There we go, CC. Drill ‘em high and tight inside.

Joe D. says:

CC with 7 straight retired.

I hope he’s this “uncomfortable” all game.

Dave G says:

Yes CC. Grab your glove Chase

Just like that, 46 pitches.

HolyGhostClaw says:

Woooo!!! CC slays the beast!!

All right this is the inning.
A-Rod homer please?

ShuutoHeat says:

That’s if that asshole doesn’t hit him again.

southernyankeefan says:

“blanton has retired eight straight”. If you told me that would happen before the game i would have called you batshit crazy.

ansky says:

They should create a postseason gold glove award and just name it the Mark Texiera.

baka nakamura says:

big hits against blanton needed this inning.

Salty Buggah says:

I like that Jeter commercial.

MikeD says:

Surprised they couldn’t get a better tape quality. Looked blurry.

HolyGhostClaw says:

I hope its shown in the Philly market too.

nil says:

I am in office without TV, and just watch the game live channel in Yahoo sport

http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/ga.....=291101122

I have watched the similar channel in mlb.com before but cannot find it this time. I prefer the mlb.com channel because it is 3D channel, could you please help!

HolyGhostClaw says:

ansky says:

I wonder if Robbie’s slumping because he’s not wearing the ninja mask anymore. I miss Ninjano.

PsiFighter37 says:

That was inside to A-Rod!! WTF ump.

Salty Buggah says:

HOW WAS STRIKE 1 to Alex a fuckin strike!

Brazilian Yankee says:

At least the 1st base ump has some sanity.

Souter Fell says:

could the umps be favoring the Phils anymore in this game

ShuutoHeat says:

Hey McCarver shut the fuck up already.

And that’s why McCarver you’re an idiot.

Jose says:

3 HBP in this series is just a coincidence. You don’t settle scores in the World Series.

JackC says:

I don’t know that they’re they’re trying to hit him so much as pitch him waaay inside and IF he gets hit, so much the better. Splitting hairs, though.

Camilo Gerardo - your inception? fuck perception, go with what makes sense says:

lol @ ruiz’ gesture to 1st base ump

larryf says:

Looks to me like we’re gonna hit Lee in his first at bat tomorrow and-oh I forgot-no warning from the umps so Lee doesn’t get tossed when he hits A-rod for his 4th plunk…

JGS says:

no–never go after pitchers

baka nakamura says:

things going way too easy for blanton. sheesh.

Brazilian Yankee says:

How about swinging at those first pitch cookies?

Salty Buggah says:

OK, see that how bad calls affect hitters. A-Rod was further away from the plate and looked a fat pitch for strike 2.

Oh STFU about this inside narrative. If he’s so bad against it I don’t know why the hell he puts up great numbers every season.

Accent Shallow says:

Ump sure is enjoying the spotlight.

PsiFighter37 says:

And a strike 2 outside to Posada. This umpire is terrible. He is not giving these calls to CC.

JackHammer says:

mcarver’s not so bright. there was an open base and he’s the best hitter on the team. if the bases were loaded, obviously he wouldn’t hit him. But in that spot, it’s like an intentional walk with one pitch.

swisher's fauxhawk says:

That pitch was in the Jersey Shore.

ShuutoHeat says:

The strike zone is shit…it’s the shape of fucking puke.

Pasqua says:

Not sure I’m a big fan of A-Rod complaining to the ump about being hit. All it does is end up putting CC in a bind.

bobtaco says:

Pitch in the opposite box… strike.

Stadium Garlic Fries says:

ump if fuckin idiot..blind and everything else

JMK aka The Overshare says:

This really is unfreakin’believable.

DontChaknow says:

This ump is going to give me a heart attack

FUCK YOU MCCARVER!
Phillies have complained too! Stop treating the Yankees as children you prick.

slappy white says:

god Id love to just kick ole Tim right in the nuts

Will says:

nice fox, way to not mention that that pitch was way outside

Hall and Nokes says:

Jorge is dead right. But I have no interest in seeing Molina catch the rest of the way.

ansky says:

Fuck! Magellan couldn’t find this damn strike zone!

Fuck you ump, fuck you ump, fuck you ump, fuck you ump.

cjc says:

this is a joke seriously

PsiFighter37 says:

baka nakamura says:

ugh, this ump is killing me.

AJ says:

Why are the Yankee hitters just standing there with the bats on their shoulders? I know the strike zone sucks, but they’ve got to start swinging the bats and doing something.

Souter Fell says:

mccarver is such a fuckin idiot

southernyankeefan says:

OMG i wish someone would throw a D battery at this umpire.

Cano has to swing at these crap dirt pitches. Otherwise they’d be strikes anyways.

Hall and Nokes says:

Guess Cano gets a free pass at swinging at anything tonight.

They’d be strikes regardless.

Joe D. says:

Tonight’s strike zone brought to you by House of Pain, who urge you to get like the zone and “Jump Around”!

PsiFighter37 says:

Robbie’s been terrible so far…

cjc says:

Cano doesn’t even look like he’s tring anymore ebarassing

Brazilian Yankee says:

What’s most amazing is the fact that announcers don’t want to point out the fact that the strikezone is huge for Blanton and tiny for CC.
Here in Brasil I get Dave O’brien and Rick Suitcliff and they can’t stop talking about how Blanton is dominating the Yankees. I guess nobody can do their jobs right.

JMK aka The Overshare says:

In fairness, I think the strikeout pitch to Posada was a strike.

Pasqua says:

Buck is hitting epic levels of his own personal style of partisanship. I call it “tone bias.” And it’s only the 4th!

Will says:

wow what the fuck cano

Beast of the East says:

howd i know blanton would show up..

E-ROC says:

Accent Shallow says:

Robbie, no need to help him out like that.

BigBlueAL says:

This is becoming ridiculous now.

HolyGhostClaw says:

awesome swing Cano.

Salty Buggah says:

Ugh. That was ugly for Robbie there.

baka nakamura says:

blanton 11 straight. cue music, i am officially in the twilight zone.

swisher's fauxhawk says:

Okay. As shitty as the strike zone is, 11 straight retired by Joe fucking Blanton?

JMK aka The Overshare says:

Fucking Cano. He’s batting under .100. Unbelievable.

Oh yeah Blaton is so impressive with a strike zone that’s bigger than the ballpark.

Souter Fell says:

between cano swinging at everything and the ump on the take, they’re making blanton sound like cliff lee

PsiFighter37 says:

Kevin Long needs to sit down and have a long talk with Robbie, he looks like total shit at the plate.

Sweet Dick Willie says:

Cano looks lost at the plate.

Paging Kevin Long.
