Edwar did give us a solid year in 2008. Outside of a few, relievers are up-and-down creatures. He might very well have provided some value in 2010 and was a good arm to have around for some depth, especially with that strike-out rate.

I’d invite him to camp if I was the GM of an NL team and I needed some bullpen depth. I think the AL has faced him enough they know to lay off the change. He’ll be new to many NL hitters and he might give some team a decent year. Then trade him!

with that said, Edwar is a classic guy that could have one or two season where he put his command together enough to be a pretty good RP.

getting any relief pitcher AFTER Joe arm killer Torre is a bad idea….he is the worst at conserving a pitchers arm…Park will be a tiny bit better than Edvar….who just never could pull it together…he had no killer instinct.
