2010 Draft: MLB announces draft coverage

By

Via Conor Glassey, MLB has announced it’s official plans for coverage of the 2010 Draft. The event will again span three days, from Monday June 7th to Wednesday the 9th, though Day One will only feature the first and supplemental rounds. Day Two will run through round 30, and Day Three will wrap up the remaining 50 rounds. MLB Network will air a draft preview show at 6pm ET on Day One before broadcasting the draft when it starts an hour later. Days Two and Three will not be broadcast on television, but the conference call audio will be available online as always.

Unlike last year, the Yankees are off during Day One of the draft, so we can actually devote our full attention to it.

OT: Have y’all ever seen “A Perfect Murder”? It’s really wild

  2. Dominik says:

Wait, why are they off on Day 1? Don’t they pick 32nd overall, ie last in the 1st round?

  3. mbonzo says:

The first day Yankees pick once, Red Sox pick 3 times, and the Angels pick 5 times…eek

  4. Ugh how aggravating that they’re milking it like the NFL draft. It’s just not as exciting, sorry.

    • Stryker says:

they’re hardly milking it. the NFL draft was 3 days long with months and months of tv and radio hits talking about it – this is just an hour prep show and the 1st and 1st supplemental rounds that are being televised.

  5. Andrew Brotherton says:

Yeah, the Braves and the stupid Billy Wagner signing. I really hope the Yankees open up the pocketbooks this draft. We really need to knock this one out of the park. I am hoping for some high ceiling talent to fall due to signability right in our laps.
