CC vs. Johan. Lefty vs. lefty. YES vs. SNY. Big brother vs. little brother. Bronx vs. Queens. Good vs. evil. North vs. South. Humanity vs. vuvuzelas. It’s all on the line today … well, maybe not. Should be a fun game though. Here’s the lineup…

1. Derek Jeter, SS
2. Nick Swisher, RF
3. Mark Teixeira, 1B
4. Alex Rodriguez, 3B
5. Robbie Cano, 2B
6. Jorge Posada, DH
7. Curtis Granderson, CF
8. Frankie Cervelli, C
9. Brett Gardner, LF

And on the mound, the best pitcher in New York, CC Sabathia.

First pitch is scheduled for 1:05pm ET, and can be seen on either YES or WPIX locally, or TBS nationally. Enjoy.

  1. Heh, today is game 69.

Immaturity aside, I hope the Yankees shell Johan like they did last season. CC continues his reign of terror with 8 IP of one run ball.

  2. And on the mound, the best pitcher in New York, CC Sabathia.

Somewhere, Andy Pettitte sheds a single tear.

    /MSM’d

  3. Jose the Satirist says:

Happy Father’s Day to all the dads out there. This is a special day for children everywhere to be thankful their father banged their mother.

  4. Ivan says:

Happy Father’s Day to all the great dads out there especially my dad.

  5. A-Rod's Hip says:

    Ken Singleton FTW!

  6. A-Rod's Hip says:

A-Rod looks out of whack and completely lost with his swing right now.

This is exactly why i’m predicting a 2 HR game from him today

  7. Dela G says:

wow i just woe up, and the yankees are on! yes!

  8. baby carlos says:

I would love to see CC buzz the back of Reyes’ head, trim those ugly ass locks

  9. Vinny the Bull says:

Michael Kay sounds very happy this afternoon.

  10. So why do all the radio guys want Pagan to sit instead of Franco if/when Beltran returns? That seems to not make sense.

  11. Mike Axisa says:

    Gotta love Ken Singleton.

Kay: “The Mets are good because Reyes and Wright are performing like they should be.”

    Singleton: “They’re getting good pitching.”

  12. A-Rod's Hip says:

CC looks to have his fastball command.. good sign

  13. Accent Shallow says:

Porcello sent down to AAA. On the one hand, without him in the rotation last year, they probably don’t make it to game 163. On the other hand, he certainly could have used the seasoning.

  14. baby carlos says:

CC’s bad inning will be in the 5th. Yanks will be up 5-2 by then

  15. Mike Axisa says:

Yikes, CC almost got hit with the throw to second.

  16. Accent Shallow says:

And Cervelli almost takes out Sabathia.

  17. Dela G says:

    god i love that changeup

  18. Accent Shallow says:

I love Sabathia making lefties look silly.

  19. Sleepykarl says:

Why is Tatis their DH when they still have Bobby Bonilla on the payroll?

  20. A-Rod's Hip says:

my first New Yankee Stadium experience: the 15-0 sunday game last year

  21. Dela G says:

man i thought jeter hit that much better than he did

  22. Jose the Satirist says:

That 10 ER outing for Santana really killed his ERA this year. Not including that one outing he has a 2.01 ERA in 98.1 IP.

  23. A-Rod's Hip says:

    love Swisher’s at-bats

  24. Dela G says:

ruh roh, here comes the change to tex

  25. A-Rod's Hip says:

David Price vs. Josh Johnson right now

  26. A-Rod's Hip says:

people were actually questioning on the radio whether or not Josh Johnson will (or should) make the all star team. LOL

  27. Bay’s splits (wOBA/IsoP)
    Home: .401, .205
    Away: .308, .088

  28. Dela G says:

    cmon zz, more control please

  29. The Infamous Irondequoit says:

Gardner did well in the leadoff spot yesterday. Do you think that Girardi would consider putting him in that spot with Jeter in the 2-hole? Gardner’s speed would prevent Jeter from hitting into too many double plays and at the same time, Gardner would be able to have better chances at base-stealing.

    Gardner – L
    Jeter – R
    Teixeira – S
    A-Rod – R
    Cano – L
    Posada – S
    Granderson – L
    Swisher – S
    Cervelli – R

Is this a lineup you would like to see? I quite like the lineup as it is, but this could be an interesting alternative once in a while.

  30. Barajas looked like a little leaguer during that AB. Wow.

    • Thomas says:

Barajas had hit Sabathia really well in his career before that AB. He was 9-22 with 2 or 3 doubles and 3 HRs.

Hopefully, Sabathia kicks his ass from now on.

  31. So do the Mets really not have anyone else to be a bench hitter aside from Tatis?

  32. Dela G says:

damn that was a nice K

  33. JGS says:

    I hate you, BABIP

  34. Dela G says:

    goodness that blew

  35. I hate you, baseball.

  36. CC has apparently brought the good shit to the table today.

  37. A-Rod's Hip says:

    epic at-bat for A-Rod there

  38. JGS says:

Babe Ruth was 26 years old when he became the all-time home run leader. That guy was good at baseball.

  39. Dela G says:

man the eric hinske effect is crazy

i expect the braves to be in the WS

  40. A-Rod's Hip says:

    Cano’s plate discipline FTW…

  41. Dela G says:

what a moronic shift, regardless of the fact that he was hit

    • A-Rod's Hip says:

exactly.. combine that with how many pickoff throws they’ve made when Cano’s been on first.. where the hell are the Mets getting their scouting reports from?? LMFAO!

  42. Claudell says:

    Ouch. Hit Cano.

  43. A-Rod's Hip says:

it was a breaking ball (on a full count no less).. relax

  44. Vinny the Bull says:

Off-speed, but I’m sure it still stung. Hopefully it didn’t get him on a bad spot near the wrist.

  45. Dela G says:

    here comes the change

  46. A-Rod's Hip says:

this was the inning where it all started last year

    LET’S GET IT STARTED!!!

  47. A-Rod's Hip says:

    Hip Hip.. JORGE!!

  48. A-Rod's Hip says:

Surprise us and make contact vs. a lefty Grandy!!

  49. Let’s go, Curtis. Take a walk if you have to.

    /lowered expectations vs. lefty’d

  50. A-Rod's Hip says:

0 for 12 vs. Santana.. means the odds are in OUR favor!

  51. A-Rod's Hip says:

    dammit!

  52. Dela G says:

    well cmon cervelli

  53. A-Rod's Hip says:

Cervelli if i’m not mistaken got the first RBI in last year’s 15-0 game.. it came in the 2nd inning with 2 outs and runners in scoring position

  54. Dela G says:

at least the yanks have the pitch count up

  55. A-Rod's Hip says:

Santana’s K’s only went up the year he first arrived in the NL

  56. Mike Axisa says:

Good at bats by Granderson and Cervelli, can’t argue with that. Santana looks hittable.

  57. Dela G says:

damn, carlos santana just hit a nice home run against the pirates

  58. baby carlos says:

jason bay is like a cold sore.

  59. A-Rod's Hip says:

    Rays down 1-0

  60. Holy shit, Kim looks awful.

  61. A-Rod's Hip says:

I think the Braves have decided that they’re just not gonna lose another game for the rest of the season.

  62. Look at Mariano Jr. rocking out the letter. Good for him kickin’ it old school.

  63. A-Rod's Hip says:

    Scherzer goin’ up against Arizona

  64. Mo IS a rock. He’s been closing for thirteen years with not a terrible season.

  65. A-Rod's Hip says:

David Price is just disgusting.. my goodness! straight filthy

  66. Mike Axisa says:

Nice quick inning. Go sit in the air conditioning, CC.

  67. A-Rod's Hip says:

4-0 Braves in the 1st inning already

  68. Thomas says:

Shit the strap to my sandal just broke.

  69. A-Rod's Hip says:

i didn’t realize McCutcheon was as good as he really is.. i knew he was a beast, but geez.. i underestimated his power

  70. A-Rod's Hip says:

Gardner’s really provin’ me (and a lot of us) wrong with the way he’s handled every-day duties. He rarely has a bad at-bat.

  71. A-Rod's Hip says:

Rays pen is completely gassed after yesterday (they used James Shields and warmed up Wade Davis last night in extra innings). And Price is already at 60 pitches after 3 innings

  72. Mike Axisa says:

47 pitches for Johan with no outs in the third.

  73. MikeD says:

Derek has been the equivalent of A.J. Burnett of hitters this year. He’s either hot or cold. No in between game. Hopefully he can break from that.

  74. A-Rod's Hip says:

time to capitalize this inning.. Santana looks very vulnerable right now

  75. Makes up for A-Rod’s thing.

  76. baby carlos says:

    jeter planned that… nice

  77. Never bunt w/Nick Swisher. Ever.

  78. swisher's fauxhawk says:

LOL, where did that come from?

  79. MikeD says:

Bunt? Can’t believe Kay even asked that question. He hates bunts. And, of course, it actually worked this time.

  80. Accent Shallow says:

    So, around the horn GIDP*

    *not a typo

  81. Thomas says:

    Swishaaaaaaaaaaa

  82. Mike Axisa says:

    STOP BUNTING.

    Lucky that shit worked.

  83. Dela G says:

    hahahahaha mets fail

  84. A-Rod's Hip says:

i’m only gonna say 1 thing.. it worked..

i have no further comment about this Swisher at-bat.

  85. Sal says:

Gotta love that rare Swisher push bunt

  86. baby carlos says:

    shit tex is up.

  87. Cy Farnsworth says:

Bunting there is stupid…but Swish really couldn’t have executed more perfectly.

    • A-Rod's Hip says:

absolutely.. bunting is just plain retarded for a guy with 30 HR ability.. but that was as perfect as you could possibly get

  88. Accent Shallow says:

    Mea culpa!

  89. ARX says:

HELL YEAH!!!!!!!!!!! Welcome back to the land of the living Tex!

  90. swisher's fauxhawk says:

    Black hole!

  91. A-Rod's Hip says:

    TEX MESSAGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  92. JGS says:

    TEXERSLAM!!!

  93. HOLY SHIT TEX TOOK THAT ALL THE WAY!

  94. Kristen says:

    That was awesome.

  95. DCBX says:

Welcome back Tex, we missed ya!

  96. Thomas says:

    The Teixtitcle going deep.

  97. JGS says:

    BABIP 2, A-rod 0

  98. Dela G says:

what an incredible play by wright

  99. Raf says:

big guy needs to start warming up. im liking it the last two days

  100. JobaTheHeat62 says:

moments like those make me forgive any negative this team produces from time to time…an amazing bunt followed by a huge Grand slam..LOVE IT!!!

  101. The Infamous Irondequoit says:

Pssh. That wasn’t really that impressive. I, the Great Bam-Cito would’ve hit a 5-run homer and recorded an unassisted triple play before the next inning even started.

    /1st round draft pick’d

  102. bonestock94 says:

    Tex coming around

  103. A-Rod's Hip says:

must be funny for Mets pitchers to play in a park where they don’t get rewarded for making mistakes

    • Dela G says:

to be fair, balls haven’t been flying out the stadium as much as they did last year

*see jason bay’s long fly ball in the 1st inning*

      • A-Rod's Hip says:

yes indeed.. i think a few factors for that (and there are many) are the disassembling of the old park, and Chien Ming Wang is no longer pitching at 40% health

    • JobaTheHeat62 says:

yea Citi field is crazy…I would hate it if Yankee stadium were like that even if our pitchers never gave up HRs

  104. A-Rod's Hip says:

at least Nohan got his New Yankee Stadium ERA under 27..

  105. A-Rod's Hip says:

Carl Crawford solo shot.. tied up 1-1 in south florida

  106. Answer to the trivia: Jim Rice

  107. Dela G says:

this inning is important for the yanks

must answer with a good inning

  108. CC likes DP!

    /Kay’d

  109. Cy Farnsworth says:

Jeter may not have the range, but few in the game turn a smoother double play. He makes it really easy for Cano.

  110. Cano’s got that leg kick working.

  111. JGS says:

    I heart Cano’s arm

  112. EvoLuTioN says:

    silly Ike

  113. Dela G says:

man, throw that to ike davis over and over until he gets it that he shouldnt swing

  114. A-Rod's Hip says:

i think the Mets have allowed the most grand slams in the majors this year.. and they’re close to the top in bases loaded walks (Ollie P FTW!)

  115. Mike Axisa says:

That was Tex’s first grand slam since the one he hit off Edwar.

  116. EvoLuTioN says:

i’m watching the WPIX broadcast. i’m not in the mood for Kay today

    • Cy Farnsworth says:

When compared to Keith Hernandez, Kay is the definitive lesser of two evils.

If you’re gonna listen to a Mets broadcast, I suggest the Howie Rose radio call. Now that guy’s a great play by play man.

  117. EvoLuTioN says:

conor jackson is batting 3rd in oakland

    holy hell!

  118. Dela G says:

it’s good to know that kenny is always humble about the hall of fame

  119. Cy Farnsworth says:

And that, ladies and gentlemen, is why Ken Singleton’s a class act and Jim Rice is a jackass.

    • Independently, Singleton shouldn’t be in the HOF. But if you want to play the “Well, player X is in so Singleton should be in” you can do that, esp. when player X is the aforementioned Rice.

      • Cy Farnsworth says:

I agree totally–Singleton’s not a hall of famer, though he had a great career.

My point was more that Singleton humbly declines HoF speculation, while Rice openly lobbied for it and has used his status as a bully pulpit to judge others since the moment of his induction.

    • Thomas says:

I am watching the Mets broadcast. What did Singleton do or say?

      • Cy Farnsworth says:

Kay said that Singleton should be in the Hall of Fame, and Singleton politely disagreed. One of those little moments that remind me how much I like Singleton (and how much I miss Jim Kaat.)

        • Thomas says:

It’s that humbleness that kept him out. If he more aggressive and angry, he would be more feared and thus in the HOF.

But seriously, Ken Singleton seems like a hell of a player and a hell of a guy.

  120. EvoLuTioN says:

    that was textbook by wright.

    nice fielding

  121. Accent Shallow says:

There really should not be David Wright commercials on YES.

  122. Dela G says:

hey the pitch count is at 70

now lets hope ZZ can keep on doin the same with his pitch count and keep it down

  123. A-Rod's Hip says:

    poor Kawakami…

  124. Dela G says:

goodness i thought that could’ve been a homer

  125. A-Rod's Hip says:

    wow. Gardner!! Carl Crawford who!!!!!!!!!

  126. That ball took forever to come down. Damn.

  127. JobaTheHeat62 says:

we really don’t need to sign carl crawford

  128. Mike Axisa says:

The fact that that jumping catch wasn’t at the wall makes it that much more awesome.

  129. Gardner! Great jump right there.

  130. Cy Farnsworth says:

That was a Bobby Abreu-esque approach to the wall

Great catch though, as long as he comes down with it I’m happy.

  131. A-Rod's Hip says:

2-1 Marlins! terrible TERRIBLE play in right field by whoever’s out there for Tampa today.. turned a single into an RBI triple

  132. Dela G says:

i voted for the griffey family

  133. Ah, Father’s Day. Remember, lads: the best thing about children … is fathering one with your ‘mate’s wife and pretending the spawn is his.

    Wisdom from Old Hoss.

  134. Dela G says:

    good job ZZ

he’s pitching as if he could go 8

  135. JobaTheHeat62 says:

this has to be the best we have seen from CC this year…I think the ACE is warming up for 2010

  136. baby carlos says:

    Matt Imbrogno

    Attn Baby Carlos: Even better:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JOfXc1haEoA (safe)

Ok that was totally hilarious. Well done, sir, very well done….Love Scrubs!

  137. baby carlos says:

So the scouting on the Yankees is – if you have a legit pitcher, i.e. Halladay, Santana, Beckett -don’t pitch them. Instead, pull up some dude from AAA or run some soft toss throwing Moyer type.

  138. Dela G says:

    damn johan, that was filth

  139. Mike Axisa says:

Wow, Kay really knows how to grind that axe. Mentioned all the thing he’s looking forward too in the Dodgers series, basically everything but Torre.

  140. Dela G says:

dang, i thought that ball 4 was strike 1, but ill take it

  141. Mike Axisa says:

    Heh, Atlanta blew the lead.

  142. JobaWockeeZ says:

Why does it seem like every 3-0 they swing at they fail miserably? Sigh.

  143. Dela G says:

    swinging at 3-0????

    bad idea, joe…

  144. baby carlos says:

Why the fuck is he swinging…. C’mon ARod…

  145. A-Rod's Hip says:

    good lord A-Rod………….

  146. Accent Shallow says:

    Eeesh.

  147. JGS says:

Damn, the luck is just not with Alex today

  148. Cy Farnsworth says:

    “God put the lights on”

Once again, creepy Kay is creepy.

  149. JobaWockeeZ says:

Even if he’s not walking, Cano puts up some good at bats.

  150. Dela G says:

oh well, at least the pitch count is up to 93!

  151. A-Rod's Hip says:

    4-1 Marlins!

  152. Accent Shallow says:

Francoeur to Pagan: “Can you believe they’re gonna play me over you when Beltran returns?”

  153. What are these outs Cano are making?

    • Thomas says:

Cano started off hot this year so he could slack off for the rest of the year. Luckily the Yanks play the Dodgers soon, so Bowa can get on his ass.

  154. Dela G says:

marlins up 4-1 on the rays

  155. Kay, you’re an idiot.

  156. Wow, that was totally a ball. Good frame job, Frankie.

  157. Dela G says:

    a-rod defense FTW

  158. Alex’s groin is fine.

  159. Nice Job A-rod, now let your deffensive play momentumize* you into another 35 homer season.

*may not be a real word

  160. Dela G says:

    hahahahahahaha kay

“it’s really hard to give yourself a birthday present. I’ve tried, but it’d really hard”

  161. Way to work the pc Mets.

  162. Dela G says:

    what a play by pagan

  163. Met’s, this is the guy you’re taking out?

  164. Cy Farnsworth says:

Maybe it’s because I’ve only really watched Pagan during this hot streak of his, but this guy seems like he can play.

  165. JGS says:

    Shocker, Maine had a setback

  166. Dela G says:

    chip clip night??

    lol that sucks

  167. John Mayer’s brother looks exactly like John Mayer.

  168. That was a truly epic at bat.

  169. Dela G says:

    fucking hilarious

  170. baby carlos says:

    the Pride of Venezuela….

  171. Cervelli with his third triple.

  172. Kristen says:

That was also awesome. Great AB and then a triple. Cerved, indeed.

  173. Cy Farnsworth says:

what’s with all the NHL goal songs playing at the stadium?

  174. A-Rod's Hip says:

Kay forgot to mention K-Fraud when it comes to the celebration overload..

i personally don’t care either way.. but if the Mets are seriously gonna complain about Cervelli?? what a joke

  175. Dela G says:

great inning by the yanks, even though no runs scored

  176. Damon would have gotten three rbi’s in that situation.

  177. A-Rod's Hip says:

we’ve had a ton of guys on base in this game.. i wouldn’t be inclined to say that “Santana’s only made 1 mistake” in this game

  178. Dela G says:

    wow talk about lucky

  179. Shadow says:

Does Cervelli switch helmets once he’s on base?

I’m pretty sure during his AB he was wearing the big gazoo helmet, but when they showed him crossing home after Gardner’s grounder, i’m pretty sure he was wearing the normal helmet… weird

  180. A-Rod's Hip says:

Josh Johnson.. dealing… what a monster

  181. A-Rod's Hip says:

    dammit CC

  182. Mike Axisa says:

You got this CC, ain’t no thang.

  183. Dela G says:

    cmon, where did that miss

  184. A-Rod's Hip says:

    let’s get this K!

  185. Cy Farnsworth says:

    Fist Pump!

  186. A-Rod's Hip says:

wow.. Barajas strikes out looking! u know u made a good pitch.. he just couldn’t swing at it

  187. Accent Shallow says:

And the crowd chanted “Give us Barajas!”

    /only good thing about interleague

  188. Dela G says:

man they are REALLY pimping this “grownups” movie

    it better be good

  189. A-Rod's Hip says:

    FIST PUMPS FOR EVERYONE!!!!!

  190. Cy Farnsworth says:

wow, i’m happy that the yanks turned two but there’s no excuse for tatis not beating the throw there. robbie had nothing on it.

  191. baby carlos says:

    Sabathia >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>mets

  192. A-Rod's Hip says:

Josh Johnson’s through 8 innings.. up 4-1 on Tampa.. this could be that magical day when we’re in 1st place dolo

  193. Accent Shallow says:

At least Tatis will always have his two grand slams in one inning to keep him warm.

Hey, they were off Chan Ho Park! Man, he sucks.

  194. MP says:

I love it when CC goes into beast mode at this time of the season.

  195. Angelo says:

    Talk about wasting a prospect.

  196. Cy Farnsworth says:

i love singleton’s reaction to mejia being compared to mo

    “…ok…”

  197. Mets, didn’t you learn anything from Joba?

  198. A-Rod's Hip says:

Tex last few days have looked better

but we’ve been here before where he’s looked good for a few days at the plate, and then slides back into a 3 for 23

  199. Dela G says:

oh well, at least the game is movin right along

  200. Does Tex have an encore HR in him?

  201. A-Rod's Hip says:

Leo Nunez.. 1 down.. 2 to go in the 9th

  202. A-Rod's Hip says:

i know alotta guys are in love with UZR, but i’ve seen NOTHING at all that coincides with all the horror stories we heard about from Detroit about Granderson’s CF defense

  203. A-Rod's Hip says:

Pavano shuttin down the Phils in Citizens Bank.. just 1 run allowed through 7.1

  204. Dela G says:

hahahaha jose reyes swingin through like a lunatic

  205. A-Rod's Hip says:

    Rays lose!

  206. Does CC come out for the ninth?

  207. Dela G says:

do the yanks have any more games against the twins? i’d love to beat the ever-living daylights out of carl pavano

  208. Dela G says:

    holy crap are you serious??

    a rain delay?

    gimme a break

  209. Tom Zig says:

rain delay? It’s clear up here in Westchester

  210. I disagree Kay, the Blue Jays are most definitely going to go away.

  211. They should just call the game. It would give CC his third CG on the year.

  212. Dela G says:

man did anyone see carl pavano’s mustache? took it from a screenshot using mlb.tv

  213. A-Rod's Hip says:

there goes CC’s shutout.. it’s all good.. shutout in my eyes

  214. yoo-boo says:

about all star game to favor the home advantage for World Series, I think it should be dropped. I think a league that wins the most interleague games will be awarded the home advantage in WS. If tied, league swiches from last year’s home advantage team. Good idea?

    • Andy_C_23 says:

I think it should just be whichever team has the better record gets home-field advantage. What way is more fair than that?

      • yoo-boo says:

not enough interleague games to justify the best record in the MLB.

        • Andy_C_23 says:

I meant that of the two teams in the World Series whichever has the better record gets home-field.

          • Thomas says:

What happens if the teams have the same record or if a team has an unmade-up rain out and end up a 1/2 game back?

            • Andy_C_23 says:

Good point. If either of those situations were the case, there could be a backup method. Maybe they could do whoever wins the All-Star game or interleague records if there’s a tie. If a team is a 1/2 game back then they are just screwed I guess. I just think it’s BS to use an exhibition game to decide the fate of home-field advantage in the WS.

            • Angelo says:

If the two teams have the same record, then you go by play-off record. And if that’s the same as well (very unlikely situation), I suppose you can use the All-Star game as the tie breaker. At least that lessens the significance by a ton

An unmade-up game can help or hurt their record, so if they fall off by one game, that’s just too bad for them.

            • What happens if the teams have the same record

Then there’s a tiebreaker system of some sort, probably involving divisional/league/interleague W/L records or head-to-head (in the event that the teams actually played each other that season). I bet this is far less common than you think it would be, though. The NBA has simple home-court advantage for the NBA Finals, and I can’t remember an instance where both Eastern and Western Conference champions had identical final records.

…or if a team has an unmade-up rain out and end up a 1/2 game back?

Then they end up a half-game back and don’t have home field. Tough titties, that’s the way the cookie crumbles. Perhaps if this scenario presented itself, the teams would insist on making up the rainout, and everyone wins.

  215. A-Rod's Hip says:

ever since the “Chipper considering retirement” story, Chipper just started raking.. LOL.. he just stole 3rd after tying the game with an RBI double with 1 out

  216. Pudge says:

  217. Dela G says:

pavano beats halladay and the phils with a complete game 4 hitter (1 ER)

  218. Dela G says:

yay the game is back on

  219. Angelo says:

Robby hits a homerun in the second deck. I’m calling it.

  220. A-Rod's Hip says:

am i still allowed to be upset over how our offense has performed today with so many runners left on base?

  221. Dela G says:

    i hope you’re alright a-rod

  222. The Yankees are now sitting pretty at the top of the AL East.

  223. Dela G says:

with that out by david wright, mo has retired 21 consecutive batters. that is the longest such streak in his career

  224. Thanks for a great first Father’s Day, Tex, CC, and Mo.

  225. bexarama says:

I just got home to see – the Yankees won this game? That’s impossible. On Friday, everyone told me they’d never beat a good team.
