Via Erik Boland, GM Brian Cashman says that he expects Andy Pettitte to be out four to five weeks with a left groin strain. Sergio Mitre will take his place in the rotation. Obviously, this is less than ideal news, and may impact how the Yankees approach next week’s trade deadline. With a rehab assignment and what not, it’s possible Andy might not be back until September. Yikes.
Sadly, this means the Chad Ho Moseley monster will stick around that much longer.
