Three bad throws in a game is a lot, even for him. I’ll take the under, but not by much.
Matter what bad throw is considered. A throwing error or just a throw requiring a good pick by Teixeira. If it is error alone, I’d take the under. If it is the latter though, I definitely considered the over.
Offense needs to step up and take the series. Robertson and possibly Mo won’t be available. We need those guys for the next series so please just blow them out.

I was going to ask the over/under on Nunez regarding errors, as opposed to bad throws. Sad that’s what Nunez has become in the early going. According to A-Rod, Nunez needs to take a a step in so he’s not constantly rushing his throws.

NEW YORK ? After what appeared to be his best night at the plate in a while (2-for-3 with an RBI and two walks) in last night’s extra-innings loss to Kansas City, it looked as though Jorge Posada might have been joining teammates Alex Rodriguez and Derek Jeter in a resurgence at the plate.
But when asked how his swing felt before batting practice this afternoon, Posada simply offered: “The team is doing good, that’s all I want to talk about.”
Posada, who is not in tonight’s lineup, answered plenty of questions about a full-time transition to the designated hitter role in Spring Training. Joe Girardi said he’d have to work on developing a routine to feel comfortable. But even after a two-hit night, he didn’t seem optimistic that would happen, and broke off a session with reporters after a few questions.
First, on the routine, Posada doesn’t see it happening.
“I don’t have a routine. No. I don’t think it’s going to be there,” Posada, who is in the final year of his contract, said. “When you play for so long and you’re behind the plate for so long and you have a routine there. When you pinch hit four times it’s not easy.”
He would not say whether there was anything about the designated hitter role that he actually preferred to catching.
“I’m not catching so I can’t even talk about catching, it’s about DHing and it’s really, it’s coming to the point where I have to understand my job and go out there and keep swinging the bat,” he said.
And when asked if the lack of routine could have contributed to the slow start — a .162 batting average and a .273 OBP — Posada left his locker and the clubhouse toward an area restricted to reporters.

Cry me a river. This team is in a slump? They’ve been playing terrible baseball for two and a half weeks now. I don’t care what KC’s record is, because outside of their bullpen, they are a mediocre team despite what their numbers look like so far.
That inning was the most disgraceful performance by far of this season. Cano’s throw was not that bad, Nunez is just a bad shortstop. Nova had an easy 1-6-3 DP and botched it to allow another run. Cervelli’s defense is terrible, he led the league in catching errors last year despite being a backup and showed more of why that was the case tonight.
I don’t want to hear any more excuses. Boo hoo, guys are slumping. They’ve been slumping for weeks now, why can’t they make the adjustment? Why can’t they make routine plays in the field? These guys are better than this, but you are only as good as what you do on the field.
Also Cervelli needs to go. For someone who has the reputation of being a good defensive catcher, he really makes a shit load of errors. Fuck Cervelli

Good point. However, the number of games is less than 60 because they are trending towards continuing their current performance. This is not a great team but an above average team. They require too many pieces to be functioning at once in order to be the dominant team they should be. There are many holes in the bull pen, lack of control in the starting rotation, and the offense, well, it is becoming Oakland A’s like. That said, they may still win 85+ games and make the playoffs.

Jeter… well, yeah… Posada’s toast. Swisher just looks ugly and it truly pains me to say that because I love the guy. I’ll still give Martin the benefit of the doubt, but Gardner, I don’t know. The guy just can’t quite seem to utilize the tools he was given. In no way, no what whatsoever, has this team convinced that it’s championship caliber. I don’t get that feeling like I did in 2009.
