The Ramiro and Eduardo Show

This should keep everyone entertained for the next half hour or so. I hope they got that ball off the field after that play.

  1. CountryClub says:

Nunez is certainly an adventure in the field.

  2. Nunez giveth with a great play, and then giveth with a lulzy play. Thanks, Eduardo (and I’m glad you’re okay, Ramiro. That looked painful.).

  3. Max says:

    …no words.

  4. Zach says:

I laughed when I first saw that. I laughed even harder now.

  5. pat says:

I assume Nunez was trying to hold the throw and just lost his grip on the ball?

  6. Klemy says:

  7. CP says:

The sad thing is that was one of Nunez’s more accurate throws.

  8. Kiersten says:

Nunez just forgot there’s no clock to stop in baseball.

    • MannyGeee says:

however, he was well aware of the golden rule…

      “You just can’t predict baseball…”

  9. MannyGeee says:

I think this covers it. great times and I hope this is NOT the most memorable point of the season (well, 3000 hits aside).

  10. Bills says:

Please please please put this to the Benny Hill music

  11. Brandon says:

I actually thought he still had a play.Ball was hit sharply and Nunez has a pretty good arm.He probably wishes he would have just thrown it to 1st now.

  12. sjferrari says:

I was there. All I can say is “Holy hell.”

  13. Monteroisdinero says:

Pena in for defense. He certainly was defensive.

    No harm done. A 10-4 9th inning became a 10-4 final score.

Why does Mo warm up in these situations? Grow a set Joe.

  14. Eduardo (My Left Nunez) says:

I am the court jester of the Yankee infield. I am here to entertain. Next showing, tonight in Cincinnati at the Great American Ballpark, one of your many modern-day Elysian Fields where my baseball skills have gone to die.

  15. bexarama says:

My reaction was “yay, last out” to “hahaha WTF” to “oh yay they’re going to get the last out after all” to “oh my God what WAS that.”

No harm, no foul though. And that is funny.

  16. Smallz says:

I laughed about it after the game was over but Mr. Jeff Marquez really wasnt “impressive” last night.

    • CS Yankee says:

Agreed, he seems to be the weak link next to Logan of course. he might not make it as he is not a member of the “save the loogy’s foundation”.

  17. Bryan L says:

    Hahahaha. Amazing.

  18. #24!!!! says:

I can’t stop laughing but that may have hurt a little. Hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!

  19. Dan says:

What a great weekend. A Yankee shortstop made a play to his left and a Yankee catcher blocked the plate. Its been a long time.

  20. ansky says:

It reminded me of the Zeile play in the 96 playoffs where Bernie scored. Also it may have been the highest comedy in MLB since Manny dove to cut off a ball that Damon threw into the infield in typical Damon throwing style

  21. dkidd says:

nunez should have faked the spike and thrown to ingram for a touchdown
