Yankees will open Marlins new stadium next year (sorta)

By

Via Joe Capozzi, the Yankees will play an exhibition game against the Marlins in their new stadium at the end of Spring Training next year. The new park will officially open a few days later when the Fish taken on the Cardinals in a rare one-game series. As far as I know they haven’t sold the naming rights to the place yet, but you can see some renderings and construction photos here. As for the Yankees, I guess all you can say is “cool.” That should be fun to watch.

Cool I guess. It’ll be fun to see the new stadium. Hopefully they can draw more people than they do now.

The Yankees should buy the naming rights to the new Marlins Stadium. Make the ex New Yorkers feel right at home.

They should start all the games right after everyone finishes dinner.

In honor of Joe Robbie Stadium having its name changed so many times in its history, I saw someone refer to it as “Tony Montana Real Estate Stadium.”

Definitely should be the name of the new place.

Why I remember as if it was only about two years ago that the Cubs came and helped open the new Yankee Stadium in an exhibition game. Wait, that was only two years ago.
