Eric Chavez suffers (another) setback
ByVia Bryan Hoch, Eric Chavez suffered his second setback in as many weeks, this time involving his abdomen. He’s on his way to New York to get checked out. Last week’s setback involved his back. The original injury involved his foot, remember. Chavez is sure doing a fine job of filling Nick Johnson‘s shoes, and I have to figure the Yankees will be on the lookout for a left-handed bat for the bench at the deadline.

Well this is interesting because LoHud reported that the back setback wasn’t a setback at all.
Cashman called it a setback, that’s all that matters. He said he wouldn’t be back when originally expected.
Lol. This guy just can’t catch a break.
I blame Obamacare.
Grumble, grumble, grumble.
/t party’d
If you combined all the working body parts from Chavez and Nick Johnson, you still couldn’t create one fully healthy major league player.
Welcome to Mike Axisa’s River Ave Blues
i dont get it
Gender-inappropriate joke as to what body part he’ll hurt next my wife would not approve of.
Don’t forget Soripavano. He’s just as worthless.
soripavano?
that may be worse than one commenter calling him “sorryassano” a few weeks ago
That was me lol nice memory
Yes, Nick Johnson redux, Sign Juan Rivera.
Can Dickerson be the LHB?
no-not good enough.
he’s no Golson
Call up Montero and ask him to hit left handed
Chavez = peanut brittle
“they called me…. Mr. Glass”
I bet his heart is broken over the Casey Anthony thing, too. Just add it to the list of injuries.
i completely forgot he was on the 40man to be honest
and now batting 7th..Matsui….
…and his .219 BAVG and .635 OPS. On the bright side, his OPS+ is up to 76.
Wow,this is crazy. Hope our guys stay healthy. I guess its time 4 da prospects 2 step up 2 da plate. Its their big break.
Hey look at the bright side. At least he’s not costing as much as any of the forementioned DL lineup. PS: Wasn’t Dickerson our only .300 hitter? I like the Mr Glass, Gerald
