The Yanks are looking to improve upon their 8-1 record against the O’s this year, and have outscored them 78-28 this season. That’s a +50 run differential over just 9 games, which accounts for 1/3 of the Yankee +148 run differential on the season.
True, although if they only had a 10-run differential, they’d still have the second best run differential of any team in MLB. Very good teams are expected to destroy certain teams. Let’s hope it continues today.
Oh yeah, I wasn’t trying to diminish the rest of the season in any way. It just amazes me how lopsided the games between these teams have been.
Frank Tanana was always painful for me to watch, having actually seen him when he could throw in the upper 90s. It would be as if Randy Johnson had to become Jamie Moyer.
Wandy is a career 4 FIP pitcher, I’m not sure he’s worth trading for.
I think he’d do OK, but no thanks to being stuck with him for three years.

What’d he do?
Carlos Guillen hit a no doubt bomb and did an annoying strut. Weaver didn’t like it at all and yelled at Guillen as he was trotting to first. Ended up talking to the ump for a little while, clearly pissed, and the benches got warned. Avila comes up to bat and first pitch he very obviously throws one right over his head. Weaver ejected.
It’s better when CC does it.
