The Giants (@ Redskins) and Jets (vs. Cowboys) are playing later today (4pm and 8pm ET, respectively), but use this thread to talk about all the day’s football action.
The Green Bay Packers are the team to beat and it’s not even close. Best QB, best receivers, top defense. Ted Thompson has constructed a team that has more depth than any other team and that was displayed last season. The Packers won’t be stopped by any defense in the league.
Eagles are overrated. Under/over with games til a Vick injury?
I have the Eagles going 8-8 and missing the playoffs. Their hype is just as bad if not worse than what the Phillies and Red Sox were getting in Spring Training.
Wel the Phillies have backed it up….barring an NLDS loss
They haven’t won the shiny gold trophy like a lot of the experts said they would yet.
Kinda hard to do in early September
Really? Great observation.
Because everyone told me they’ve won it already.
No more overrated than the jets were last year.
Just got back from seeing the first 2 games in Anaheim.
Yankees only scored 1 run
But you got to see Jesus hit a BOMB off Weaver.
Hell yeah everyone was going crazy.
And when Jorge replaced Martin.
Yankees just look tired. I still think Joe should have rested everyone in Baltimore.
Good to see the Bears o-line is in midseason form….Cutler been sacked 3 times and the 2nd quarter isn’t even half over
Lestah gave up 3 runs already in the 1st, TB really making this interesting.
I predicted a Rays sweep and a 3.5 lead at the end of the week. I’m looking like a genius so far!
I think Yanks, Angels, Tigers, Rays is very possible in the playoffs
A Rays-Angles ALDS would be awesome. The 2 best AL pitching staffs head to head.
Lestah 2 innings 70 pitches. wow.
And you thought CC was inefficient…
I took Chris Johnson with the second overall pick in my fantasy draft and he has zero points. I see he got his money and now he does not give a shit. What a douchebag.
You forgot something VERY important.
His team is horrible, noone fears the passing game, and his O-line is blah. Short of him going Barry Sanders, he’s going to struggle.
Wow, the Colts are going to be awful this year.
Their strategy: be awful so that they can draft Peyton’s successor in April.
Worked wonders for the Spurs when David Robinson missed that one entire year.
Giants need to find a 3rd dependable receiver pretty fucking quick.
and a new coaching staff, they have the same problems every year and every game and they never adjust. WR’s and Tight ends wide open in the middle of the field, special teams that couldn’t qualify for the special olympics, they call off tackle on 2 straight short yardage situations, it never ends.
