Austin a future outfielder? Doesn’t look promising at third and, frankly, we have a ton of first basemen in the system and, of course, on the big club. He’s not particularly fast but a great basestealer so he might have good range in the outfield.

I am pretty sure he was originally drafted as an OF’er so I think Austin is a 3B until the org really thinks he can’t play the position anymore.

Wait. We have a ton of 1B in the system? Where have I been? The only top 30 prospect in the organization with 1B experience is Brandon Laird, who certainly won’t be blocking anyone.

He was a fulltime catcher his last season in school. They drafted him as an OF but he’s only played 1b/3b/dh.

I like it! This Staten Island team has got some juice! So much more fun to watch guys come up through the system as champions than to import marginal talent (AJ, I’m looking at you).

Always good to see the Yanks beat up anything Mets-affliated!!

Congrats to Staen Island Baby Bombers!
