ByBased on his Twitter feed, Slade Heathcott swung a bat today for the first time since having his second left shoulder surgery last year. He’s scheduled to return in June.

I bet he plays more 1B as his minor league career progresses. Ultimately a Swish type of RF/1B defender.
Swishies has been an above average defender in RF UZR-wise for his Yankee career. I’ll take that in a heartbeat. I think Austin might even have a little better arm too.

I say no too. It’s unfortunate, but he’s had a lot of shoulder surgeries to overcome. I wish the best for the guy, but I doubt he makes it.

Pinder ain’t messing around. Hopefully Segedin gets promoted to AA this year, try to get him back to a more age-appropriate level. They should start playing him in the corners, and maybe at second, to increase his value, if he has those defensive capabilities.
Does Pinder project as a ML closer?
No one ever really projects as a closer, they just end up as one.
