Robertson set to begin minor league rehab assignment
ByBoth Joe Girardi and David Robertson confirmed this afternoon that the setup man will head to Triple-A for a rehab assignment this weekend. He’ll make two or three appearances depending on how his strained left oblique feels, and he could be rejoin the team in time for next weekend’s series in Washington. With all due respect to Cody Eppley, hopefully everything goes well and Robertson is back in the bullpen soon.

If he is pitching this weekend on rehab and might only need two appearances, why won’t he be back before next weekend?
Okay so he’s pitching Sunday taking Monday off before pitching again on Tuesday. Will then be reevaluated on Wednesday with the Yankees off on Thursday so next Friday looks like the first day back without any problems.
