Montgomery makes Double-A debut in loss

Game 93: Back on Track
Update: Swisher leaves game with mild left hip flexor

OF Tyler Austin could return to action as soon as Sunday, so that’s good news. He’s been out a little more than two weeks with a minor concussion. Apparently LHP Jeremy Bleich is done with Short Season Staten Island and has been moved up to … somewhere. Double-A Trenton makes sense.

    Must be the last name.

Marshall pitched 7 innings? I feel like I haven’t seen many outings that long this year.

  • Jay

Mason Williams seems like he gets caught stealing a lot. Hopefully he can improve on this

  • felixpanther

can Yankees keep Cabral after he stays in DL for whole season?

    • Need Pitching (and maybe hitting too)

I believe so, but the same Rule 5 rules would apply for next season. He would have to stay on the 25-man roster (or DL) for the entire season.

    • Steve S

He’s gotta be on the roster for 90 days.

  • John Y.

Nice AA debut for Montgomery! I really like this kid!!

  • Bryan

Mason needs to learn how to steal bases. Yeesh.

    • FIn

Not busting your balls, but he has a long time to learn. Hes only in high A ball. We have no idea what they are doing with Mason. They could have going on first move no matter what, they could have him on the run on fastball counts. Its almost impossible to know what they are doing. We do know hes fast and when hes on base the other team knows hes going to steal every time.

  • Need Pitching (and maybe hitting too)

    GET OUT OF MY DUGOUT!!

    • Need Pitching (and maybe hitting too)

      Oops.

      Don’t drink and post.

  • Danny

Norris said Campos was done for year.

    • Matt s

Crazy. If true they should have just made him get tjs and been done with it. Can’t believe an elbow w no structural damage would keep somebody out for pretty much a whole year.

      • RetroRob

Seems like it is based on the source, Nardi Contreras. Hopefully there’s more information here because unless he needs TJS, it’s not adding up.

      • FIn

Whats wrong with you? Why would you say someone should get a surgery when A) you have no fucking idea whats wrong with his elbow. B) If its is a ligement in his elbow, it may be strained rather than torn. C) Any surgery has risks and no one gets them unless absolutely needed.

Dude the guy is a person and not a robot, if he needs surgery to keep playing, he will get it. Saying moronic things like just make him get Tjs is absurd. Next time you get hurt, someone should just come operate on you, whether you need it or not.

        • tyrone sharpton

let’s fucking saw mothafucka’s arm off! chill dude, but see your point

        • RetroRob

Pass on the second cup of coffee next time.

        • Matt s

relax, just speaking out of frustration. Maybe it’s a little aggressive but I have heard of prophylactic tjs. It is a very safe surgery with fairly predictable results. Of course they are not robots though, and any treatment should be the players choice. And of course the best treatment is based on diagnostic data that we don’t have access to, and apparently there is no structural damage, which makes it surprising that they have not got him throwing sooner.

looks like Brandon Laird dosen’t want us to forget about him.. Hes been tearing it up, and must realize with SEPT on the horizon, its his chance to impress not only with yanks, but other big league clubs..
