I was actually testing MLB.tv on a different system, in hopes that my glitch problems could be discovered one way, or another.
Turned on Angels/A’s, and was ready to switch at 7, but I saw all the links were dead, and on MLB.com itself they were dead. Worst of all, I couldn’t figure out anything good either from what I watched – feed seemed slightly choppy, which is still inadequate from what I’ve become used to, but not nearly as “glitchy”.

Anyone else annoyed that the Yankees took the safe approach at the deadline? I mean Ichiro and McGehee aren’t exactly impact players. Texas, Detroit, and LA (both teams) made significant upgrades in areas of weakness. I don’t know whether they just didn’t feel they had to pieces to trade or if the FO was satisfied with what they had. Weird.
My speculation is that they felt pretty comfortable with what they had pitching-wise and got Ichiro to fill their only real serious need: an everyday outfielder.
That’s what I was thinking. Team officials don’t seem to overreact like we fans do.

Only reason I remember is because it was the day before my birthday.
Found an excellent site for the rubber game of that series, worked well for most of the game, I even sent a link to a buddy of mine who was at work*. Then, suddenly, around the 7th-8th inning, the stream disintegrated, and I had a virus problem on my hands soon thereafter.
Easily resolved, ultimately, but not fun at all.
*Fortunately, I never got any gruff from him, so I’m guessing there was adequate virus protection on his work machine.

I loved being in Japan watching the 2009 ALCS and WS, and the Japanese teevee broadcasts were a large part of it. They just sound so much more wildly enthusiastic all the time than US announcers and commercials. We were in a packed bar getting hammered before Noon when the Yanks won and Matsui got the MVP. It was amazing.

Two infield singles (one of which should have been an error) aren’t this fault, and those were the first and third batters he faced, and if either had been an out the inning would have ended then.
Maybe now that the Yankees have scored again, everyone can calm down a little and realize that Robertson didn’t really pitch particularly poorly.
