Girardi will not be suspended for Thursday’s tirade
ByVia David Waldstein, manager Joe Girardi will not be suspended by the league for his tirade and subsequent ejection in Thursday’s game following third base ump Tim Welke’s premature foul call on a ball that hit the line. Girardi made his case to MLB’s Executive VP of Baseball Ops Joe Torre, and that was that. No surprises here.

Would Joe really suspend Joe? Come on…
Torre not exactly sure what a managerial tirade is.
MLB’s way of basically saying the umpire contributed to the situation without directly saying it.
Pretty much.
What about Welke? Did/Will Saint Joe do anything to him, and that entire crew???
Welke has been cited for premature enunciation.
When you cab say, That Bob Davis was probably the best umpire to work the series. You know how they graded out D-.
Girardi: I think my behavior was warrented.
Torre: I can understand that.
Girardi: I don’t think I should be suspended (wink wink).
Torre: I can understand that (wink wink).
What about that Jack-Wagon Randazzo? Any thought about explaining the strike zone to him?
